What he found out wasn't surprising, considering what Edith had warned him of earlier, though it didn't make it any less problematic as he found himself in a jail cell. There wasn't any point in lamenting what had been done though, as he slid down, sitting beside the youthful elf with a quiet sigh.
"What about you? What'd you do?" Jett asked.
"Defended myself from a couple thugs," Lorel admitted, shrugging his shoulders, "Problem is, I used magic to do it. I knew magic was prohibited here, but gotta protect myself, yeah? Pfft."
"Yeah. I didn't know that," Jett muttered, breathing out in frustration.
The elf smirked, "Are you an adventurer?"
"Yup. You?" Jett nodded.
"Mhm," Lorel confirmed as well, "Which means, luckily, our sentences won't be very long! Maybe a week, tops."
"A week–? Argh, screw that. I'm not staying here that long," Jett said, disgruntled as he sat back up.
