Outside the Gates

Living in a small city called Iloilo in the Philippines lives a girl name Yhuna Perez, she has an average life. Not too rich nor too poor. Her father is a seaman,working on big ships across the pacific ocean and her mother was just a plain housewife. She has 3 younger brother and her grandmother, who works as a manager in a movie theater in the city is staying with them too.

at her 8th years, he met a quite but handsome boy across their house. His name is Martin. But since her grandmother ordered the maids not to let her out the gates if not permitted,so there is no chance for her to even come near the boy. So she had this brilliant idea how to come near him, "Nanny Pau, can I buy some food at the mini store? " Yhuna ask her nanny. "Sute, but I will come with you. Your grandmother won't allow you to go on your own. " Her Nanny Pau replied. The thing that she hates the most is how strict her Grandmother is to her. She has to follow the rules at home. So everytime she wanted to see Martin across the street she has to have reasons to go out of the house.

One rainy night, her mom stayed beside her and ask, "why do you keep on getting out of the house just to by a small amount of candy? is there any other reason? ". she answered in return, "yes! well, i have this crush across the street mom! and it's just my way to see him. no harm done mom! ". Her mom laugh at her actions. At her age her mom knew that she would have experience having crushes along the way. "one day mom! I'll surely marry that boy! " she said to her mother. But that was the truth. Yhuna said to herself. she will have many crushes but she have only one wish and that is to marry the boy called Martin.

She is a little spoiled when it comes to her grandparents,her siblings never argue since she is the only girl and the eldest too. But she never forgets to share what food she have to her brothers. She is always that thoughtful.

On the other street, Martin is the only son of a businessman. Their business is selling drinking products throughout the city. He is a spoiled brat though. Everything he wants he gets...

But he is living a low profile life. He goes to a public school and lives his life like any other ordinary whilst Yhuna is different. Yhuna goes to a private school all for girls. And spoiled by her family. She is always a princess in their eyes.

Yhuna loves to act but most especially draw. At her school she always act coolly and joins any contest that has to do with arts like drawing or painting. She even plays badminton,volleyball and table tennis. She is quite active. Martin on the otherhand just love to play basketball with some friends at the mini plaza of their street. He lives a very ordinary life though he is the only child he is also spoiled by his uncles and aunties. They both live life differently. But as Yhuna seems to have a huge crush on Martin,she didn't know what to do. They are still young,so all she ever told herself. "One day, I promise to myself to only have my eyes on Martin and that I will let him be the only one to court me. "

at 8 years of age she vowed that she will have crushes but never she will forget Martin.

Time flies, as they grow Yhuna have not forgotten Martin at all..

while Martin never knew that someone on their street has a crush on him he still move as he please. He never realize that a girl name Yhuna have a crush on him and that she is very eager to meet him face to face since all Yhuna could do is watch him from across the street or when she will buy something outside the gates.
