2 The Practice

Time flew fast, Yhuna is at her secondary years. She just turned 14 years old. She transferred to a well-knowned chinese school in the city.

Martin though stayed still in a secondary public school. He loves to be with his closest friends.

Their life is different yet a twist of event have finally found it's way for them to meet.

In the Philippines,is well-knowned that every month of May they celebrate a small feast called Flores De Mayo where all lovely ladies has to participate and be called as "Reynas" and every one has a title. The Flores De Mayo consists of 12 Reynas and the last one and major role is the Reyna Elena. Since Yhuna's grandmother is a president of the counseling group on their church,she was appointed to be the Reyna Elena of Church Procession. So she needed to find a partner. By then, a plan flick tobher mind. "Granny, I want Martin to be my partner, if not I won't be the Reyna Elena! " she said firmly. So her granny came straight away to Martin's father Willie ro ask permission if he will allow Martin to be Yhuna's partner in that event.

Willie the father of Martin without a doubt said yes. He was so happy that his son could mingle a litrle morw to other people. "He will be there Mrs. Connie. You don't have to worry! " said Willie. "Oh! Thank you Willie for accepting. My granddaughter only ask for him to be her partner."Mrs. Connue the grandmother said with a smiling face. Willie on rhe otherhand though to himself. "maybe this Yhuna Girl likes my son. " he thought! "why not! i've heard stories that this girl is quite mysterious since she never mingled to kids around the streets. "he thinks again. He announce to the whole family about Martin's participation on the event and the whole family was happy to know and eager ro meet the girl.

Yhuna was so shy and shocked when she found out the her granny was true to herself in saying that Martin will be her partner for the said event. She was excited yet nervous.

An announcement was said to her granny that there will be a dance practice for the nights event of the said Flores De Mayo. She was so nervous. What will she wear to look pleasing in the eyes. Her nanny pau braided her long jetblack straight hair and arrange a flowy floral knee lenght dress for her to wear since its summer this dress looks fit even at night. So she went to the mini plaza. The dance instructor was already there and Also the rest of the Reyna's and their partners. She on the otherhand keeps glancing lwft and right cause she can't find Martin yet. Her hopes is about to lose when suddenly car stop and Martin and a few of his uncles and aunts arrive. Yhuna was in a total shock seeing everyone was so eager to meet her. She glance to her nanny at her back feeling anxious. "It's okay they will just watch how the dance will progress since their nephew is in it. " her nanny said. "I know nanny! it's just, I feel uneasy due to many eyes are looking at me as if they saw a ghost minggling with them. " she said. "its just this would also be my first time dealing with so many people apart from school. "she honestly said to her nanny. Her nanny tap her shoulder push her to go near Martin for the instructor already called out their names.

"Reyna Elena and the partner please come forward. The formation should be easy.. listen carefully... "the dance instructor keeps on talking and instructing them...

The dance practice was easy and fun, that's how Yhuna felt. Breaktime has been given to them by the instructor,so that all of them should very well be acquinted to each other for them to be able to feel comfortable and friendly. She met a few of her fellow Reyna's and how friendly they are to her and a few of their partners too. Martin and her talk a few times and exchange no. too.

How she would love to jump up and down het she has to compose herslef infront of him. "hey! are you okay? "Martin asked. "yeah sure! it's just that I'm happy that I have been in this kind of event where I could get to meet new people and be friends with them. As you know I always stay at home." she explain. Martin suddenly felt sorry for her. He have always been carefree and do things the way he wanted but Yhuna here is like a prisoner on her own house. He instantly feel that he will let her enjoy the moments they will have in this event.

"hey guys! come lets practice a little more and go home! " one of the reyna's shouted.

so they practice and practice. It's almost 10 in the evening and everyone is tored already. As they are about to go home. "I'll text you tomorrow Yhun? I'll come pick you up. " Martin said. "Ahmm. sure!" she excitedly answer. Feeling awesome and undeniably excited for tomorrow.

As she went home. She hurriedly went to bed and waited for a text. **(phone beeping)... "oh my gosh! i have a message! " Yhuna jumping on her bed. she immediately open the message and soon a smile creep upon her face. It's a message from Martin. There start their new so-called friendship. How she wish it would be a lifetime.

text message convo:

"are you going to sleep? "- Martin

"not yet. why? "-Yhuna

"can we text for a while? "-Martin

"umm. sure! aren't you tired from practicing? "-Yhuna

"nope! I'm here outside your house."-Martin

she immediately watch her window that is facing the front gates and saw a car park. And she knew it is Martin's car.

"who's with you? "- Yhuna

"my uncle, he is the one driving. But he left to get something to his home nearby. "-Martin

"oh! "-Yhuna

"You better sleep. We will have another ptactice tomorrow.😊" -Martin

"okay. Text you tomorrow then. good night"-Yhuna

"Good night Yhuna! 😊"-Martin

after this conversation with Martin,Yhuna's heart beats faster than the usual. It feels like it's going to burst open. She giggled quite a few times, smiling to herself.

How she wish her dreams would be consist of Martin and Her...
