CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

  A year passes after Jeremy, Louis and I broke up I have been avoiding Louis for that one year, I have been blocking his phone calls and avoiding him I decided to get myself back together and move on with my life without Jeremy or Louis just myself while I am getting to know Logon better but i could see signs that he likes me, I hang out with Logon a lot more, mom and dad are getting old, mom is thirty eight while dad is forty nine, my brothers are ending studying smoothly in school, Joe is in the 12th grade while Justin is in the 8th grade at 'London International High School' so life is going great although I deeply miss Jeremy a lot once had but now lost, the year is successful with everything running smooth before things take a surprising twist in my life. The year has ended and it's Christmas I spend the day with my family celebrating the Christmas season with Logon, his parents were out of town in Italy, Christmas is over and it's new year's eve, I spend the all shopping with Logon at the mall. When we come back home my parents weren't around but mom left a note on the door saying.

'There is some food in the fridge, warm it and enjoy happy new year and call me when you are arrive home' So I call my mom who was at the spa with my dad. The phone rings and she picks up

" Hello...Laranie"she says

"Hi mom, how are you doing?"

"Fine and you?"

"Fine, so you are at the spa with dad?"

"Yeah I am"

"So any plans later with dad?"

"Shahs.... he does not know that I know he has a surprise dinner for me at Luka's Great Pizza"

"What was that honey?"dad asks mom

"Nothing dear, Just talking to Laranie asking where we are"

"Okay then"

"Okay dear" She comes back on the phone after talking to dad

"Hello Laranie are you there?"

"Hi mom, am still here"

"So do you have any plans for your new year's celebration"

"Yes, I am going out with Logon to watch the fireworks after our lunch" I say

"Oh...okay, go have fun but don't do anything stupid"

"Okay mom, you too have fun"

"Love you"

"Love you too mom"

I go to the fridge after dropping my things in my bedroom and got the food mom had left for us, it's boiled rice with fried chicken and meat soup with greens on the sides after warming them in the micro-oven I serve the food and we eat, after our lunch we both head to the sitting room to watch a movie entitled 'One Christmas' when it was now 10:00 pm and I head to take a bathe for my night out with Logon as he is also freshening up in the guest room I wear red jeans and white shirt with a big ugly Christmas sweater and black boots that reached my knees because it was cold outside. When I get out going downstairs I see Logon in the sofa already waiting for me.

"are you ready we get going"

"Yeah Ia m"

"So I am the one whose driving today"

"Why???"

"Because I know where we are going"

"Where are we going?" 

"You will see"

"Okay" I say with a surprised face.

So we get out of the house and into the car, we ride for about fifty five minutes to one hour and arrive at a certain restaurant and bar next to town called 'LOVER'S BAR' at first to me I was wondering why he could take me to such a restaurant with a weird name but later let it go.

He opens the door and so do we both enter the bar half empty with maybe five to seven couples in the bar we sit on a heart sharped table and a waiter comes to us.

"I am Joel and I will be serving you today on this time new years eve"

"Hello" Logon answers

"So I would like to have a beer and she would like to have?" he looks at me

"I will have a wine please"

"Which kind of wine madam?"

"Red secret wine please"

"Okay, I bring your drinks in less than five minutes" he says and moves away.

"So How are you feeling tonight?"

"Well, I am feeling excited because I am entering a new year with a new life"

"I get you but I am happy that you guys took me in as your own"

"You're welcome Logon" 

The waiter comes back with a tray of my wine and Logon's beer and two glasses, he pours for both of us and he leaves.
