Chapter 7: Skills

<p>I've been in this dark room for about two weeks or so, and I'm no longer blindfolded or tied to the pole. They have been sending some man and woman to give me food, I even tried escaping once and some girl knocked me out before I could even stand up. And I also wasn't just in here sitting around, I've been working out non-stop and here and there I would attempt to shadow box. But today is the day I give my life to this guild…not seriously, though I've been planning this for the past week, and I'm still not sure if this is going to work. "Now I wait until they come give me food".<br/><br/>(3 hours later)<br/><br/>While I was working out I heard the door open, I immediately put my hoodie back on and sat down. They can not know about me working out…well, not like me working out will change things but who knows.<br/><br/>"Here hurry and take your food before I throw it at you". Damn she's so rude but somehow the nicest person who brings me food everyone else just immediately drops the plate and leaves without saying anything.<br/><br/>"You say that but if I rush and snatch the food you get angry... like make up your mind" I grab the food out of her hands and sat down- or was going to sit down before she kicked me in the stomach making me get on my knees. I've already confirmed she has a class, well more like I'm 98% sure she has a class because every time she hits me I can't seem to see the movement I only know what she hits me with only by the feeling. <br/><br/>The door was about to close, so I hurriedly squeezed out what I planned to say "oh and Becky can you tell the guild masters to come see me I have something I would like to tell them!". I made sure to be a little loud, just so other people might hear me. Me being in this room for some time, I'm pretty certain this room is soundproof because regardless of what I do nobody came to shut me up or nothing.<br/><br/>(20 minutes later)<br/><br/>I already ate my food now I was just waiting for either Becky to come back and get my plate or the guild masters would come. The only reason why I know there is more than one guild master here is because they came to my room on my sixth day here to look at me and all they said was "he'll be a great one honey" and "oh he sure will be darling" that was it. I couldn't even say anything because of the amount of pressure they exerted, but it's pretty obvious they're a couple, a pretty strong one at that no doubt about it. But enough about that my sanity has been depleting everyday day since my 8th day here, and every so often I would just lash out and start hitting the walls, floor and anything I could and the reason I still have some sanity left within me is because Becky is the one who keeps me in check by beating my ass.<br/><br/>*Click Click*<br/><br/>When the door made a noise I immediately stood up and was slightly nervous, just thinking about the amount of pressure they exerted last time made me sweat just a little. But once the door opened I was completely disappointed…"ah it's just you Becky… what a disappointment that was" I was so used to seeing Becky and getting beat up by her to the point she wasn't even scary anymore.<br/><br/>"What are you talking about? Just gimme the plate" Becky reached down to grab the plate like usual, but something in her pocket was not the usual. There was a piece of paper in her jacket pocket, slightly sticking out her pocket. "Becky, when is the guild master's coming to see me y'know I've been in here for quite some time and kind of lonely~". Becky didn't say anything but laughed hysterical like I made a joke or something, but I didn't say anything, just looked at the paper as it was slowly slipping out while she kept laughing and moving. After at least 3 minutes of her laughing, she finally stopped and cleared her throat and gave me a serious look like I did something wrong which made me laugh just a little.<br/><br/>She stared at me for some time looking as if she was contemplating if she should kill me or not, "if you kill me, you might just get into trouble and get demoted or whatever do they even have to have a high and lower position other than guild master?" I said with a confused face. <br/><br/>"Look here August the guild masters would come and get you in a month so shut up and don't bring up the guild masters when you talk to me matter of fact don't talk to me at all… and yes, there are lower and higher positions in the guild" she said then turned around and was about to leave.<br/><br/> (Becky's POV)<br/><br/>The only reason I've been "nice" to August is because he's the only prisoner who doesn't perv over my body and make lewd jokes whenever he sees me, but just talks to me like a normal person like I haven't beat his ass countless times. But he's also the most dangerous because he's a psychopath, by the way he sometimes lashes out I could tell he has killed before. I've spent 20 years in prison since I was 16 years old, so I know when I see a psychopathic killer.<br/><br/>(August POV)<br/><br/>I got up once Becky turned around and rushed at her with my arms wide open and as expected, she turned around, and I leaned my head to the right and her fist appeared right where my head was if I hadn't moved it but ignoring that I lunged at her and grabbed her like I was hugging her but with a super strong grip…well, to her, it was probably really weak, but I was putting my all into the squeeze "the hell do you think you're doing!" she said then punched my ribs which knocked the wind out of me and I fell on my knees and I saw her get into a stance and I already knew she was about to kick the shit out of me "oh no" I said before I saw a blur and everything went black.<br/><br/>~~~~~<br/><br/>"Damn she punched the hell out of my ribs, lucky enough it isn't broken" of course I didn't do something like that for no reason I did it just for the paper even though I don't know what it is my curiosity was peaked, and so I went for the paper. When I lunged at Becky I purposely tripped myself to look like I messed up, and I put my left hand down and only grabbed her with my right arm and squeezed with all I had to distract her from the fact that my left arm was free and hurriedly snatched the paper out of her jacket pocket and hid it under my hoodie before she could hit me. <br/><br/>I took the paper from under my hoodie and- "this looks like an ancient scroll you'll see only in the movies" I removed the rubber band that was keeping the scroll from unfolding itself "oh there is two?" another scroll fell from inside the…first one? well, I opened the one that was currently in my hand and saw a person who was in a full lotus pose. I kept looking at the paper with a little bit of confusion because there was no description of what the man was doing.<br/><br/>[You need mana to learn this skill]<br/><br/>"So it was a skill that's why I was so confused welp there is nothing I could do about it" I folded up the scroll to the smallest I could and put it in my back pocket. I grabbed the scroll on the floor and opened it up and what I saw was…the man on the scroll was moving well more like teleporting and below it was the word 'glitch' ah so that's the skill's name.<br/><br/>[You need mana to learn this skill]<br/><br/>Folding up the scroll like I did the other one I put it in my back pocket, and now it was time that I take my second sleep for today or well attempt to sleep. I haven't been able to sleep ever since I got here, so I would doze of looking into the dark and wait until I hear some noise to know that it is morning "Wait did Becky say they would come get me in a month?..wait get me!?"<br/><br/><br/>To Be Continued~~~</p>
