They had seen it. Alex had no way to hide it anymore, and worse, he had no desire to. The young elf glanced over his shoulder to see if the priest, who occasionally followed them, was hidden somewhere nearby. But Alex found no one except the guild members—the ones he had come to realize were his true friends in this new world.
Not wasting any time, he took two deep breaths, and the Devil's Hand materialized on his fist, the mistblade outing menacingly. He heard some gasps from the crowd. Everyone, except Bogath, was impressed. The orc hadn't seen this in action, but the fact didn't surprise him.
Ravi was the first to step forward and inspect the object closely. "What exactly is this?" he asked, one eyebrow raised and a hand extended.
Alex presented the Devil's Hand for the human to examine. Ravi's hand traveled over the scales of the gauntlet and stopped at the blade. "Your guess is as good as mine," Alex replied.
