Avia was set to marry the man of her parent's choice. She didn't love him and hated the idea of spending the rest of her life with him. She prayed for a miracle to happen and save her from marrying him. On the day of the wedding; her ex, a man whose heart she had broken into pieces showed up. He kidnapped her and took her away. She felt grateful to him and was overjoyed when he got married to her because of the love she felt for him. Little did she know that he only married her to get revenge on her for hurting him. Now forced to live as his wife in the same house as his mistress. She couldn't be more hurt. Having to watch him show love and affection to another woman when she was the only one with rights to him broke her heart. Can Avia mend her husband's broken heart and complete their love story? Will her husband's mistress who owns his heart and mind let her snatch him from her? To what ends will the two women go to fight for a man they both believe belongs to them?
Avia followed Beabianca unable to process the words that the woman spoke. Their was just no way that the Joem that she knew would have jumped off the bridge.
"What are you talking about?" She inquired.
Her heart was hoping that it was a joke to hurt her. That Beabianca was just trying to make her feel guilty for what she did.
Beabianca smiled at her and kept walking. In her wedding dress, Avia followed the woman curious about what she knew. The wait was killing her.
She needed to know the truth. It's true after breaking up with Joem she didn't look back. She was hurting too much that she couldn't stand to look back at him. She thought that if she did, she might ran into his arms and never let him go.
Then her family would have continued to give him and his family a hard time. Joem said that he didn't mind it but deep down she knew that he felt the pain too. He just never told her because he loved her.
So she made the sacrifice to help both of them find peace. Beabianca walked into the cinema room in the house. Avia followed behind her to get the answers that she seemed from him.
She caught sight of Joem at the front seats with the remote, Beabianca walked over to him and took a seat on his lap and kissed him.
Avia looked away, she wasn't up to seeing the two of them being romantic with each other. "This is where we part ways."
Her eyes shot up to the screen. It was her years ago at the bridge, the day that she ended her relationship with him. "Why?" Joem asked her. His voice shaking and full of pain. "I love you Avia, pleas..."
She watched how she stopped him from talking. Back then, it was too hard for her to let him finish as it made want to take back her words. Hearing his confession almost melted her resolution away but she couldn't allow that.
"Why do always try to let me go when things get tough?" He asked her. "Am I so unimportant that it is so easy for you to throw away our relationship?" Joem inquired.
Avia watched the scene and her heart broke just as it did back then. She had kept up a brave face but inside she fell apart by his question. He was the most important thing in her life and she let him go because she loved him, it was the only reason.
"No, it's because you are the only thing I can throw away," she informed him.
Avia closed her eyes hearing the words that she had uttered to the love of her life. She wasn't able to look up and see the hurt expression on Joem's face after she said that.
"The o...only thing y..you can throw away?"
"No," she said and took a deep breath. "You are the only thing I want to throw away," she added.
Before she walked away from him. He called out to her but she refused to turn back. At that point Avia looked up and saw Joem climbing onto the bridge, "Then I will do you a favour," Joem uttered before he jumped off.
Her jaw dropped as she watched him give up and jump off the bridge. He didn't know how to swim and yet he just jumped without even giving it a second thought.
"Hey," a young girl rushed to where Joem was screaming at him.
"Beabianca be careful," some people rushed over to the edge holding the girl from falling off the bridge.
"Don't just stand there jump after him," Beabianca ordered. "He isn't coming back up," she screamed scared.
The men with her jumped into the water, Beabianca turned her head around and faced the camera that must have captured the while scene.
"A boy just jumped off the bridge and you are still shooting. Have some shame," she scolded.
The screen turned off as the video ended. Avia felt so guilty. She broke up with him to save him from her family but ended up doing him more harm than good. She had been scared that her family would push him to a point of no return but it turned out that she did that all on her own.
The man of her dreams, the love of her life who taught her how to live was pushed to the brings of death because of her.
She couldn't believe it, no wonder he hated her. She repaid his love and kindness with nothing but pain and suffering.
"This is my favorite movie ever," Joem uttered.
Avia averted her eyes from the screen and watched him. Beabianca too paid him all her attention.
"It is the movie that opened my eyes to the reality of the world," he uttered. "And captured the moment the one I love walked into my life," he added.
Avia felt her lungs grow short of air. She had a feeling that Beabianca provoked her just to have her come there and see that. And her gut told her that it wasbt her idea to have her watch that video.
"Oh, who might that be?" Beabianca asked pretending not to know the answer.
"The one I love with all of my heart or the one that I despise with me whole being?" Joem inquired of her.
"I know the one that you love with all of your heart," Beabianca spoke starting Avia in the eyes. "You are my charming prince, but I have no idea who it is that you hate," she added.
Avia pressed her lips together. The girl was good at playing games, that she had to admit. It was clear that she was the one Joem hated but Beabianca wanted him to say it out loud in words to hurt her.
"The one I hate," Joem said and paused momentarily as though deep in though. He lifted his chin and turned his head and faced Avia. "Goes by the name of Avia," he uttered coldly.
