Once Vance had dragged the two he had captured to the dungeon he began to design the cell he would throw them into. He planned on making it stop attempts at teleportation that came from people other than him. He also made it near indestructible. Once he was done creating it, he threw the two in and closed it. He then created a recliner for him to sit on while he waited for the two to wake up. He created a small handheld game console to sate his boredom and then proceeded to play while waiting. A short time later, he heard groaning coming from the cell. He put his game in his inventory and looked over. He saw that the two were coming to.
"Morning sleepyheads. Welcome back to the world of the living."
Upon hearing Vance's voice, the two were alarmed and woke up quickly. They looked at him in shock as the memories of their fight came back to them. They seemed to realize that the person in front of them was fully capable of killing them with ease, and that they had severely underestimated him. The old man spoke up.
"Such power... who trained you, who managed to pay a price high enough to hire you, and what price did they pay to get such a monster to act?"
Hearing these questions, Vance decided to humor the man and actually thought about it.
"Hmm. Who trained me? No-one really, technically everything I can do was self taught via my innate abilities. Who hired me, technically John, the king of the Fatewalker Kingdom. What price he paid to get me to act. Uhhh. His daughters technically? I mean me and his daughters kind of started dating beforehand so I decided to help him out. Helping out family if you would."
Hearing Vance's answers somewhat shocked the old man.
"Self taught? But your combat skills... and your magical prowess. You're a genius. I've never seen anyone who can match up at your age."
"I mean, I don't think many people can match up at any age. But thanks for the compliments I guess."
Meanwhile, the young man, who had still been groggy until Vance answered the old man's questions, seemed to react to a different part of the conversation.
"Wait, you're dating the Fatewalker twins!?!? No. NO! But I was destined to have them. They should be MINE!"
Hearing this, Vance smirked and spoke up.
"Ah, the crazy possessive kind. Didn't take you for the type. Well you heard correctly, the girls are mine. Well them and some others. But that's not what this is about."
The young man seemed to be obsessed with Hope and Jess. Vance figured he would look past it since it was reasonable for other people to like the two beautiful princesses. He thought that there was definitely more than one insane young man who had these types of thoughts. Until...
"YOU BASTARD! I'LL KILL YOU AND MAKE THEM MINE!! BY FORCE IF I HAVE TO!"
This statement, obviously, pissed Vance off.
