Layla was about to speak up when David beat her to it " Layla what do you think about the relationship between Chris and Lisa you didn't say anything about them " he asked as if Lisa wasn't in the car with them.

Lisa shot her brother an angry glare how dare he ask such kind of question like she is was invisible she looked at Layla who was already looking at her with a sorry expression. Layla was pitied the fact that she was treated this way she wouldn't say she didn't like the way David was over protective when it came to Lisa .He was always thinking and looking out for her no matter what he does in the short she has known them both she really wished she had someone like him that would have stood up against her evil aunt then her family name won't go down the drain just like that .

And funny fact is that her aunt leeched on her inheritance under the pretense of taking care of her she wished she wasn't that young and she could take care and fend for herself. Nathan who had his eyes focused on the road stole a glance at Layla through the rear mirror she had not said anything about Lisa or Chris and she had not answered David's question.

David also had to call her name so as to bring her back to earth he called her a few times but she didn't respond .Lisa also looked at her worriedly especially when she saw tears roll down her cheeks she was looking out of the window at her side .

She was lost in space and was thinking what could she be thinking about Nathan who was already panicking pressed the brake hard from shock when he heard a loud shriek in the car .After pressing the break he looked back to see Lisa taken aback by the way Layla shrieked they didn't expect it David too also looked like he saw a ghost or something while Layla just brought her knees up to her chest her hands on her ears and she squeezed herself as if trying to blend with the corner of the seat where she sat she looked like she was in shock and depression.

When Nathan saw her his heart broke he didn't want to see her in this way was she maltreated that badly at her aunt's place he always wondered why her aunt did that to her when his aunt was known as his present mother to everyone she even sacrificed her marital life for him just to have time for him and he will always be grateful for that.

He immediately got down and went to her side opened the door he was about to you h her and draw her closer to him when she screamed again with her hands tightly closing her ears and she shut her eyes tight saying " please I'm sorry I won't die it again it was mistake auntie I won't do it again I'm sorry ,I'm sorry ,I'm sorry" after that she kept on repeating the words " I'm sorry " .

Nathan brought his head into his palms and wept the one he loves is troubled and he can't do anything about it not even a single action .David offered to drive and Lisa told Nathan to sit at her former space while she sat in the front with her brother with what happened a few minutes ago she was thanking God internally that she still had her family and both her parents loved she and her brother equally.

Now she understood what her brother was trying to do he was only looking out for her like Layla had said and now her Bestie isn't doing okay she wondered what she was thinking about that made her racy that way when she touched her . David had asked her a question and she went into her thoughts only to remembered of a nightmare.

Nathan was looking at Layla with teras in his eyes he couldn't do anything to help her he just closed his eyes and rested his head back while thinking he remembered that she was the only daughter of her parents which meant that they definitely left something behind for her but who was managing it, was it this same aunt how come Amelia didn't know her where about when her parents died .

He looked at her she was already asleep she must have to exhausted all her energy when she was crying he didn't know how to touch her when she was acting all jumpy around him he hopes she hasn't been affected too much . she must have been very strong when she escaped from their place and she had not carried anything with her.

That means her aunt was living off on inheritance he made a mental note to call his agent to look into that issue for him he needed every detail concerning her inheritance. Some few hours later Layla woke up to find herself I'm a room where was she ? Her view was still blurry she was still trying to remember what happened before she blacked out .In a few seconds it all came back to her in a rush she recalled what happened she had her trauma again she couldn't believe it how come she had not had it in the past few days especially the day after she ran away from her aunt's place what triggered it again.

Her eyes were already clear they were back home in the city she went to take a shower and went downstairs.When she got down she could see the worried faces of the people she loved the most her present family.
