Casting between cells - Part 2

There are three things that can kill cells before or at the time of casting. The first is when the carrier's body does not have the necessary nutrients to feed the cells, and they weaken and die over time.

The second is when there are cases where the casting fails, due to the carrier's DNA not being compatible with the creature's cells. The cells cannot find a place to fit, and as a result, the fusion cannot be carried out, and they end up dying.

In Drayan's case, what happened to him in the city of 'Becke' was not for any of those reasons, it was a special event. The reason he didn't get Fang's ability genes was because of Cent. Smiling Fang's ability genes were sent into Cent's cells. Which means the smelting occurred between the Smiling Fang and the Green Centipede's cells.

Drayan has no control over Cent's cells and can't help it. Because of this, Drayan did not obtain Canine's abilities. For Cent, it was only fair to keep the abilities of the creature he killed. But of course, whether or not the fusion between Cent and Canine's cells worked remains to be seen.

In the case of Cent fusing his genes with Canine's ability genes, it was a very, very rare case, but it has happened to others.

The third is the number of times cells can fuse with other cells. This number of times may vary from cell to cell. Some are stronger and can fuse more times.

The reason they die after several castings is that the cells end up hurting themselves during the casting, whether they want to or not, they are trying to devour each other and become one. It's like they're trying to absorb each other. After many failed attempts, the cells take a lot of damage and die, becoming just a power source, with no ability.

An important factor is that as the cells become one after casting, it is easy to feed when they are all together, but it is also possible to feed separately. It's like a ball full of wool.

It's as if there is a ball of wool with green, orange, brown, black, white, red lines. It is possible to pull just a single piece of wool, a single green thread, to sew a garment.

Drayan can choose a specific gene to feed with nutrients. But when it feeds together, it gives what is necessary so that all of its cells that are within a single larger cell, the leader cell, are all fed.

This is all speculation by the primary world hunters. Some hunters hope that the secondary world will give them more detailed explanations about the modified genes.

Drayan wanted to test now if he had managed to acquire the shark's genes, but his cells, along with the sawshark's cells, were still in the process of being smelted. Maybe it would take another day to finish. So he had to wait.

After a few minutes, Canine and Darkening brought out bugs for Drayan to eat. The bugs were full of saliva, but Drayan didn't care much. After that, Drayan sent them hunting again.

This was the Canine and Darkening's routine, being treated as food hunters for Drayan. Drayan was missing his right arm but could still hunt with his left arm, but he had other plans now.

But the shark was a cub, which could make the summoning easier for Drayan, however, he wanted to summon the shark in its large form, three meters long, which made everything more difficult. Summoning a larger creature takes longer to learn how to control cells and microorganisms.

It took a while for Drayan to summon Darkening in his cub form. But since Drayan has gained experience because of the Darkening, perhaps Drayan will be able to summon the shark sooner than expected.

Drayan felt that there were many obstacles that were preventing him from going to the city of 'Eity', so he preferred to go to the city of 'Mast' first.
