After a few minutes, Nathen said he started to feel dizzy.

"You! What did you do to me? Tell me!" Nathen yelled out when he started to connect the dots.

"I-I did nothing to you. I don't know what's wrong with you." I used my best acting abilities to sound convincing.

"I don't believe you! I command you to not move." My body froze and I was unable to move.

He started to move towards the door when the old man took the metal tray that had some drinks on it and hit Nathen on the head. His body hit the floor and the old man came to me.

"Why are you helping me?" I asked.

"I don't have much time left until I die. In my vision, I saw that you would have failed. You would have relaxed after you got him to stay, and momentarily forget that he can command you. He would have then told Doc about what happened and you would have been killed. I have been wanting to kill this bastard for a decade."

"Thank you. I haven't had much sleep lately and my mind is not working fully. I must have been affected more than I thought for this to happen. Do you wish to come with me?" I asked.

"No. I got your vision 2 weeks ago not last week, and for the last 2 weeks, I have been setting up different things that will help you escape and cover your tracks. I have mapped out your escape route and even got you some money hidden at the end. All you need to do is to escape."

"Why are you doing so much? Why are you waiting till just now to do this?" I questioned. I was confused because he could have done what he just did at any time for the last 10 years.

"The older I am under is to not to try and escape from Nathen. I didn't think anything like this was possible, but I realized that I am not trying to escape I am helping you escape, so it doesn't kick in. I also can't kill him because that was part of the order, so I will leave this room soon so I am not affected anymore by the as. How long will it take for the gas to kill him?"

"In about 10 more minutes he will die, you too if you don't get out"

"That is good. When he dies you will have five minutes to get out."

"Why and will you be coming with me?"

"No, I won't be coming with you. I have to stay here to complete my plan. If it works they will think that you are dead."

"Really! How? That solves one of my main concerns. My concern was that they were going to attack my family if I escaped and use them to get me back. Thank you so much." I exclaimed with a face of pure relief.

"I have to go now. Let us hope to meet again." Vanny quickly said before walking out of my room without me being able to say goodbye.

I waited for a few more minutes before a sudden feeling of freedom washed over me and I was able to move. I walked over to Nathen and checked his pulse. He was dead. I grabbed the map Vanny left on the bed and saw a detailed escape route.

Without wasting any time I started to run and escape. It took me three minutes to get to the end of the route. I am around a mile from the base. The map said to dig under the tree that was dead. I dug there and found a duffel bag of cash.

I turned around to look at the place that was my personal hell for the last six years. I took a few seconds to take it in then took off running to the nearest city. Right as I was starting to run the ground shook and a huge explosion accrued. The base was larger than a football stadium and was blown sky-high and gone without a trace.
