Chapter 01

The world is full of surprises, every day, unnoticed by our eyes, the impossible happens; people survive falling off a building, dogs discover their owners' cancer thus saving them from death, cars almost run over people by a few inches. In short, life is a box of surprises where almost anything is possible, and one of those impossible situations happened to me.

Since my teens, I've been a big fan of isekai and stories where a random mc gains powers from a ROB, and I've always expected the same thing to happen to me after my death, it always seemed more attractive to me than ending up in hell, or go to a place worse than a Christian hell, a Christian heaven.

Hell has that whole eternal torture thing, which is not good at all, but heaven also looked just as bad to me, the perfection described about heaven made me sick, to be totally honest, I'm afraid and I've always been afraid of something Perfect.

I am a fan of the words spoken by Fernando Pessoa. "We adore perfection because we can't have it; it would disgust us if we had it. Perfect is inhuman, because human is imperfect." In short, not only do I not like perfect things, I also never liked to think about what could happen to me after death.

And the moment that really came to pass, I was desperate for a while, if even suicides are afraid of death, imagine me, who was just an ordinary young man. About my past life, I remember few things, I remember that I was a student, that I had a girlfriend, and that I was addicted to manga and anime, the rest became a bit blurry for me.

I died in a super cliché way during a robbery, I remember that the robber was angry with me because it took me a long time to deliver my cell phone, and that's why he shot me in the head, a bad way to die in fact, at least I felt almost nothing. After my sudden death, I was, as I said, desperate, I couldn't feel my body, and everything around me was dark.

After a moment of despair, my denial began, I didn't come to terms with my death, and I couldn't accept it, at that time I was almost sure I wasn't dead, I thought maybe I was in a coma, but that thought only became smaller, and the reason for that is that I stayed in this place for a very, very, very long time.

I stayed for what seemed like years in this process of infinite boredom, not moving for so long is something frightening, as I had been in this situation for so long, I gave up on the idea of the coma, and as a conclusion I settled for the fact of my death, and as I had nothing to do, it seems to me that I created a hobby of talking to myself sometimes.

Honestly I always thought that death could be many things but I never thought it would be something boring, hope something happens, preferably win wishes from a ROB please where are you my ROB?

After saying this to myself, another very long period of time passes, until abruptly, everything around me transforms, everything around me turns white, and a strong light appears in front of me, and after what seemed like centuries , I can get my senses back.

After the strong light fades, I look with my newly constructed eyes at what looked like my hands, start smiling and cheering. After so much suffering with emptiness and nothingness, now I finally have back at least my basic senses, I've never really felt so happy in my entire life, not my life, since in this case I'm already dead or I think I am. Soon I hear a noise coming from in front of me that makes me snap out of my thoughts.

"Hello my child, sorry for the delay, but I was busy with other matters that were more urgent at the moment." That voice makes me look in the direction of its speaker, that's when I saw a humanoid, he was wearing a pink suit, and in place of his head there was a black hole, this sight left me perplexed and surprised.

But even surprised, seeing that he could be the ROB that would save me from this boredom, I talk to him.

"Hi, who are you?" I wasn't sure what to talk to him about, it's not every day I encounter a talking black hole, so I really had no idea how to talk to him. He listens to what I said to him, I don't know how he listens, he doesn't seem to have ears, but it doesn't matter how he listens to me, because right away he responds while looking at me.

"I'll be brief with you, because you've been stuck here for a long time, I'm the personification of space-time, and I'm in charge of the continuity of all existence, many of you humans call me the ROB responsible for reincarnation." Seeing what he said, I open a smile, thinking about the idea of being able to reincarnate, and being one of those isekai protagonists that I saw so much and read so much about.

And it was with this in mind that I asked.

"Will I be able to reincarnate, if I can, how will this work?" After you finish saying that, i can immediately hear a response from him.

"Reincarnation in other worlds and even in your own world is a standard answer, in the end everyone will reincarnate, but the world, and how they reincarnate completely depends on their luck, which is why we created a totally random reincarnation system." Hearing what I said, I start to feel butterflies in my stomach.

Knowing that my entire future is being decided by chance is a little scary, after thinking about it a little, ROB snaps his fingers and a roulette wheel with different names appears, right on top of it was written "roulette of the worlds". ROB then talks to me again.

"When you want I can start turning the wheel, and let the reins of fate control your future from now on" after hearing his words, I take a moment to reluctantly, until I finally nod my head in confirmation.

After my confirmation I can see the giant roulette wheel that has written the name of maybe thousands of worlds spinning, I can see it going through several worlds, some Marvel worlds, such as Earth 616, Earth-1616, Earth-982 (2099) , Earth-811, Earth-295. There are so many worlds exclusive to Marvel that I was speechless, soon some from DC also appear, again a very high number.

After going through dozens or hundreds, maybe thousands of possible worlds, the roulette finally stops at boku no hero, seeing this I got mixed emotions, glad I didn't fall into a fucked up world like Marvel's and end up dying for anything random, as I was also sad, knowing that the world of bnha is still a very dangerous world. After the roulette stops, the ROB talks to me again.

"Not bad my child, now we will move on to the part of your powers, I hope you inherit the powers of someone powerful, if the opposite happens I'm sorry for you." at the end of his words, the roulette with the worlds disappeared, this time giving way to a giant roulette again, but this time the name on top of it said "character roulette" in this roulette I could see each fictional character and its many variants possible, there were so many that I was even speechless, the characters went from Superman to the joker.

I was so nervous about this whole situation, that even before ROB asked for confirmation for him to turn the wheel, I already said.

"It can turn now" He hears what I said and seems to nod, I'm not sure, as I said his head was a black hole. After your wave, the wheel begins to spin, and goes from name to name, passing through many names I knew, as well as many others I had no idea who it was or where it came from.

The roulette wheel keeps turning until it finally stops, I'm speechless for a brief moment because of the tension. When I finally see the name written there, I start to smile and feel relieved.

The roulette had stopped at J'onn J'onzz (New Earth), as a dc fan that I am, I know this strange and meaningless name very well, this is the name of one of the most powerful superheroes in the DC universe, this is the name of Martian Manhunter.
