Ch 50 - Broken

Jinwoo could be seen standing there in silence full of concentration as he started to unseal on of the more powerful quirks they have, Immortality.

Jinwoo then felt a series of chains being release inside of him as he felt something changing with his existence at the spiritual level as changes started to happen throughout his whole body.

The effects of aging that slowly happened with time on his body started to disappear at a rapid pace as he felt an endless amount of energy appear inside of him.

"Fwooh, Immortality is really like a cheat at this point, endless energy to expend, instantaneous regeneration, you can even do cloning if you somehow find a way to give sentience to your cloned body" muttered by Rintarou as he look at his status.

[Quirk: Immortality (Mythical) - allows the quirk holder to have Immortality in body and soul. Gives a ten times multiplier to the exp gain of Immortality related skills like Endurance, Regeneration, Immunity, etc.]

"Immortality in body and soul? Hmm... how does one even damage other's soul? But it also gives a multiplier for Immortality related skills? This system really is mysterious, giving new data as the time goes on" muttered by Jinwoo as he started to think about things at the implication of what he just learned.

"Wait... Immortality gives me an endless amount of energy, and Ki is physical energy and that is a proven fact, while Magical Energy, Demonic Energy and other Energy that allows Magic seems to stem from the soul, if I have Immortality in both body and soul" muttered by Jinwoo as he started to will his Ki and ME to come out of his body.

And as he activated it, he felt the endless sea of energy inside him that seems to never deplete nor end and as if connecting to the water of life, he felt and endless amount of power inside him as two drastically large ball of Ki and ME appeared right above his hands that he struggled to maintain and instantly made it fizzle out and reabsorb it as he felt cold sweat appear on his forehead.

"Huff, puff, w- what was that? It was like I was looking at the vast infinite multiverse for a second there. I almost made a giant explosion with those balls of energy right there" muttered by Jinwoo as he remembered how much energy was concentrated on those balls with his sudden lost of control at the unexpectedly huge amount of energy he felt and if he didn't manage to reabsorb it, it would have exploded and possibly destroy the whole forest and kingdom.

"But I feel... stronger? Not just physically but also somehow spiritually, its like my perception of reality somehow became clearer from a perspective that I never have?" muttered by Jinwoo as he opened his status and saw something surprising.

"SSS in Magical Energy? But how? And why did my physical attributes also became stronger?" muttered by Jinwoo as he lift a heavy rock with ease, it was so easy compared to the last time he did it that if felt like air.

"Wait... could it be that when I reabsorb those balls of energy, I increase my ME and Ki reservoir? But this doesn't make sense especially for the Ki, its size is from the cumulative sum of the person's physical attributes but I did nothing to increase it, unless... the moment I reabsorb the ball of Ki it also made my body stronger to equal out its increase size. Then is the size of my reservoir endless or is it something stranger? Or is it that my regeneration of my energy make it appear to be endless? Sigh, I really can't answer this with my lack of knowledge, but what if I also make both Ki and ME S.MAX?" muttered by Jinwoo as slowly, countless motes of white light started to surround the area as it spun in a tornado and created a vortex with Jinwoo in the center as the motes of light rapidly entered his body.

He felt his body started to rapidly get stronger and something else getting stronger that he can't put his finger on but knew that it was his soul getting stronger as he continued the cycle for a few more seconds until he felt it.

He hastily opened his status while dismissing the tornado of white light and reabsorb it all into his body and saw his drastically change status.

"Hmm, the gap between SSS and S.MAX is drastically different, its like night and day. But what about the one above S.MAX? Would it be heaven and earth?" muttered by Jinwoo as he took a deep breathe.

"Now what should I first increase to a 100%? I have some many to choose from but none seems that important, sigh I guess its time to gamble again but this time with more risk" muttered by Jinwoo as he look at his Magical Energy skill at S.MAX and steeled his heart, for is this fails it will bring some huge losses for him.

"Sword Mastery is still very tempting, I'm already capable of cutting steel with just a twig with S.MAX, now what about the one above it? If the difference between S.MAX and the one above it is like heaven and earth, then shouldn't it be more mystical compared to something like strength? Sigh, I guess fate will decide if the risk I am taking is correct" muttered by Jinwoo as he slowly put his focus on his S.MAX Magical Energy skill and sighed.

"The reward is worth the risk for this one, and besides, it would just slow down my progress for quite a bit but I would still manage" muttered by Jinwoo as he steeled his heart and look at the sacrifice function on his Magical Energy and willed it to activate as his Magical Energy skill started to disappear and vanish from his view.

AN: Immortality is a really broken quirk, now that you have that spec of knowledge imagine how strong that old man actually was, if he was able to live freely for centuries without being found out even with the help of some mystical quirks that may even reach the levels of divine, so who truly is the old immortal man from the previous chapter.
