Chapter 11: The chase and escape ( 2 )

Sounds of running steps achoes through the dim alleyway as Dogday spot a good hiding place at a left corner. He didn't hesitate to jump and crouch down behind several garbage bags and can's.

Dogday didn't move as he felt someone passing them in good speed. He didn't leave his post as he took a peak behind his hiding place tomake sure that Arashi is finally gone out of sight.

Seeing that nothing but emptyness of the alleyway Dogday sighed as he took this time to relax.

" Phew seems like the close is clear "

" .... "

Catnap who was injured and struggle's to move glance at him silently. He never thought of the day that his old friend and enemy would even risk this chance just to take a bullet for him. He would have thought that Dogday would have hated him so much that he would just leave him there for good and just take Izuku and run.

But it seems that his thoughts were wrong as he felt relieved that Dogday manage to save him at least. Catnap wanted to stand up but the pain from his arm's, leg's and tail said otherwise.

" NgGghHh.... "

" Catnap don't move your already injured "

" I KnOw ThAt bUt tHaT doEsN't mAttER. HoW'S iZukU. "

Catnap's voice were deep and statically bitcrust as if his voice was like a broken microphone chord. Dogday showed Izuku in his arms just to clarify to Catnap. He knows that Catnap has now develop a slight obsession with Izuku considering his weird actions back at the ice cream shop.

" See all safe. If we have any chance of escaping we need to know a way out in this alleyway. Catnap can you still move your tail "

Dogday suggested looking at Catnap waiting for him to reply. Catnap look at his tail as he tried twisting, moving and even extending his tail only to feel pain and uncomfort as a result.

" I cAn sTiLl mOvE mY tAil.... tHoUGh it hUrt'S "

" I see. We can't exactly use it to go up the high ground either "

Dogday said as he look up to the blue sky from above the alleyway. He couldn't help but to be nervous as he doesn't know much of the citie's alleyway to actually find an exit. There are three men are after them and Catnap is heavily injured. There odds aren't in there favor as the only thing they can do is to lay low.

Dogday couldn't help but to let out a sigh as he glanced at Catnap's injury before he move towards Catnap.

He look at his waist as he grab his skin and begin's to tear open his fabric like skin.

Catnap's eyes widen in surprise as he saw Dogday kept ripping his skin one by one until he has a handful of them on his hands.

" Don't move let me bandage you "

" .... "

Catnap didn't know how to respond to that but Catnap's painful injuries as well as his blood dripping from his injuries cause him to reluctantly agree.

" Tug! "

" Phew that should stop the bleeding "

" .... WhY aRe yOU doIng ThIs DogdAy? "

Catnap questioned as he didn't know why Dogday would go to such lengths to save him and even using his skin to bandage his Injuries. 

Why go through all of this just to save his tormentor. Dogday thought of it too as he still bore some resentment to Catnap but seeing him trying to protect Izuku in his own ways made him have some form of empathy of him. Don't get him wrong if they were still at playtime co he would have let him die but now thing's are different. Much more different.

Dogday didn't look at Catnap as he tear another part of his skin to bandage his other wound's and just said.

" It's because you seem to change. I know I won't forgive you but observing you these past few hours made think that you have changed a bit. It's not like you to save a kid"

" Slide- Tug! "

" .... I seE. So dOn'T YoU sTiLl hAte mE? "

" No.... it's hard for me to forget what you did to me and the other toys in playtime co. You, huggy and the rest of the other toys is something I fear and hate the most. "

" Slide- "

" But that doesn't stop me to at least cooperating with you. It might be over for us but that kid still has a future so I'll tolerate with you for now "

" I sEe. T-tTheEn tHanKyOu fOr AtLeASt leTtIinG mE liVe "

" Heh but still you were reckless fighting them alone. "

He said putting another tug of his wrapped skin around Catnap's last injury. Catnap flinch as the tug was a bit tight but he still manage to hold through the pain. Once Catnaps bleeding were temporarily stopped the two started to get into bussiness. Dogday check out of his hiding place seeing that no one's there as he ask catnap.

" Catnap you can still use your red smoke? "

" NaTuraLLy. "

" Then where going to sneak out and hide. Catnap do whatever it takes to make sure you aren't seen. Once you saw those people with gasmask cover them with your red smoke and yank there mask "

" HmMm tHeN hOw aBoUt yOu "

" Me? "

Dogday said as he looks to his body as he notice that his teared skin is slowly growing as if his skin is trying to regenerate. He didn't know how exactly why is he able to do that but it helps him explain why he manage to survive being shot in the head. So he look at Catnap and said to him in a serious voice.

" Then I'll be the decoy "

... 

( At the other end of the alley )

Arashi who kept running felt the need to stop as he realized that he lost them. He took a deep breath as he let himself took some steam after running for a couple of minutes until he heard a ring on his phone. Of course he could tell who was calling him as by grabbing his phone and seeing the caller he took another deep breath and sighed before taking the call.

" Aki s-sorry I lost them "

" Sigh " You lost them? Haha how am I not surprise. Get back here were finding them again using touri and don't ever tell this to our boss "

" Yes aki "

Arashi never felt dissapointed that they lost there target. It was the second one this time as there group can't handle another lost. He look at empty alleyway for a bit before running back towards there original location as fast as possible.

It took another hour but he manage to catch up to his two teammates. They were near the exit of the alleyway but not so near that people would notice them. Aki didn't bat an eye on Arashi as his more focus on Touri who has his hands placed on the ground near a shadow.

Arashi stayed closed to Aki as he saw that Aki was dead silently looking at Touri as if he was going to kill him. Arashi could feel his bloodlust at both him and Touri as he couldn't help but to be alarmed. 

' H-hopefully once we got the kid he won't attempt to kill me with his gun.... Right? '

Arashi thought as he hoped to himself secretly. Touri who was in deep concentration felt his hands submerge in the shadows. Touri couldn't help but feel relieved to see that he manage to activate his quirk. 

Touri close his eyes as the image of Izuku was clear in his mind as he tried searching through the shadows. Eventually he manage to feel something as he was about to pull it out.

He thought that he successfully recapture there target until a claw came out of the shadows and scratch Touri's arm's.

" Swoosh! "

" Scratch! "

" AAAAGGHH!! "

Aki and Arashi were surprised for second to see a claw appearing out from the shadows. Injuring Touri before they notice red smoke filling up the atmosphere. They notice this smoke as they're well inform from the document as they hold there gasmask tightly and emmidiently turn back ready to attack.

The red smoke was increadibly thick and obscure for them to see but they could hear footsteps step coming from the thick red fog.

Coming out from the red fog the two saw the Dogday. His large height intimidated the two as they notice his body injured with his flesh and tissue's growing in a slow paste.

" Tsk it's them! " 

Aki redraw his gun from Dogday as he could tell couldn't kill him even if he shot him in the head as he look at Arashi and signaling him to deal with Dogday.

Arashi emmidiently understand as he bend down. His legs tear open before replacing with reptile like legs as he sprint's towards Dogday with increadible speed. Arashi doesn't want to use his quirk on his legs since it hurts him a lot but this is an enemy. And he can't afford to be nice.

His claws were ready to tear Dogday open as he successfully pierce through Dogday's chest. Organ's and blood splattered on the ground as Dogday bend to his knees.

He thought that he killed Dogday for a second until Dogday grab his arm's and yank him down as a tail suddenly came out from the red smoke grabbing Arashi's gasmask and pulling it off from Arashi's head.

Arashi's head was finally exposed by the red smoke as he tried to hold his breath until Dogday poke his eyes with his claw like fingers causing him to scream in pain. Eventually inhaling the sweet smell of sandman's gas.

" Bump! "

Once Arashi emmidiently fell victim of the red smoke Dogday pull out his claws as flesh, blood and organ's all fall to the ground yet Dogday still remained ferm. His white eyes slowly turned ring like as he looked at the horrified face of Aki and Touri as Dogday said to them.

" So who's next. "
