Chapter 83: Two Heroes Arc (7)

Chapter 83: Two Heroes Arc (7)

~Ren Y. POV~

[Nighttime, I-Island, Central Tower, Emergency Stairs Landing]

Having heard All Might's words and the events, everyone took the time to regroup in the emergency stairs landing, with Ida breaking the ice stoic, "We've received All Might's orders loud and clear. He's our teacher. I suggest we follow his instructions and escape this place. Otherwise, we'd be going against his will."

Remaining silent, I heard Momo's opinion as I held the distraught Melissa's hand tightly, gazing at everyone's reactions, "I'm afraid I have to agree with what Ida is saying. We're still only students. We can't fight those villains if we don't have our hero licenses."

That was when Denki pointed his finger up, suggesting, in a frightened tone, "Why don't we get outta here and tell the heroes outside?"

It was when Melissa spoke up in a calm tone about the difficulty of the situation, we're in placing her hand over her mouth, "It's not going to be very easy to escape. The security system here is on the same level as that of the Tartarus prison, which is where they keep the most dangerous criminals in the world!"

That was when Denki suggested waiting, speaking in a defeated tone: "Then, all we can do is sit and wait until everything's over, I guess."

Jiro stood up from her sitting position as she asked what everyone thought in their heads, "Are you really okay with that, Kaminari?"

He argued back in a defeated tone on the ground, "Well, what choice do we have?"

That was when I finally spoke up, drawing attention to myself in a serious tone, "Don't you think we should at least try and stop them? It's too soon to think of giving up not when we're here don't you think?"

Shinso, Shoto, and Toga eyed me when I said that. Mina soon asked in a nervous tone about the idea, "I know, but Ida does have a point. We're not allowed to work as heroes, you know that."

However, it was when Shoto spoke up where I was leading with this in a stoic tone, "Does that mean that it's right for us to do nothing at all."

Momo soon spoke up with a conflicted expression, unsure of her answer, "Well. It's complicated."

Listening to them, I spoke my thoughts adamantly, trying to encourage them in a determined tone, "To be honest, Momo, it isn't. The answer is simple. I'm gonna do what heroes do and save lives and kick ass for those in need. It's Morphing Time."

*Shiii*

Activating to equip my Hero Costume into my White Ranger uniform, Ochaco asked from the side in a concerned tone, "Really, Ren?"

I gazed at my classmates and bluntly spoke what was in my mind, all eyes drawing to me of my opinion, "I do. There are no ifs or buts. Just do. Aren't Heroes supposed to be people who act when no one else will? It doesn't matter how much training they have; they always run the risk of making things worse since they won't always have all the information. And Ida…"

My gaze turned to him as I spoke in a serious tone with Shoto, Toga, and Shinso standing up as I said, "You said before that in the Entrance Exam you would do differently if the lives were in need? Does that stand true here or not?"

His eyes widened what I meant when he ran off while I saved Ochaco from the Zero Pointer during the Entrance Exam. Shinso smirked, standing as he stoically said, trusting me fully without hesitation in his voice, "Seems like we have a plan then, Class Rep. What's the goal then?"

Discussing my plan, everyone listened as all eyes were on me, speaking out loud in a confident tone, "We don't need to fight the villains to win here. We just need to free the heroes from the control of the villain at the top of Central Tower. Melissa, you know where the security system is?"

All eyes were on her as her aqua eyes widened, and she regained her composure, answering my question, "Yes. I know where the security system is and its functions. It's on the top floor of this tower. If these criminals managed to take control of it, then the authentication locks and passwords would probably have been disabled. We should be able to restart the system ourselves. We just must stay off the villains' radar until we can get to the top floor. That's all. If we do that, the whole island will be safe again."

Jiro soon spoke up, getting close to Melissa as I began to create everyone's support items using my [Create] skill handing them out in a curious tone, "Sure, but how do we keep on the low for that long?"

That was when I chimed in, pointing out a fact in a neutral tone, handing everyone the support items they needed, "The security system hasn't discovered us yet. That means the villains probably don't know how it works very well. Anyway, I believe you guys might need these."

Finished handing them their support items, having better chances, Shoto spoke up with his arms crossed, "So we avoid fighting anyone and try to get the place back to normal. It could work."

Denki smiled, having his flying disk speaking in a bit more confident tone at our plan, "Not bad. What do ya think?"

Jiro smiled as she responded, equipping her support gear in a confident tone, "Let's do it! Especially with our gear, the chances are higher."

Momo soon spoke, placing her hand over her chin as she muttered her concern about the number of enemies, "Many of our enemies are likely gathered there on the top floor."

*Beep*

Hearing that, I responded in a calm tone, activating my [Chart] showing a holographic page explaining to them, "Not as many as you think, Momo. With my new upgrades to my Hero Costume adding the Quirk Factor of [Chart], our number of enemies is a lot shorter than you think. With this, if any of those villains come close will know ahead of time."

Showing off the number of enemies ahead and how few there were on the top, they all nodded at the situation. I spoke to them in a determined tone, our objective, "Knowing what we have to do, the sooner we relinquish the villain's control over the security system, the sooner the heroes will spring into action."

They all looked over as Ochaco was first to speak up, raising her fist in a determined tone, "Let's do this, guys! I don't wanna sit around here being helpless. Not if there's something we can try. What's important is that we're helping people even if we're not real heroes."

I smiled underneath my helmet, nodding as I spoke to everyone in a determined tone as they had their support gear, "Thanks, Ochaco… Now then. I'll say this: who's with me in this? Last chance to back out now, and I won't fault you for it. Not anyone can stand up to this if you back out now, I respect your decision."

When I said my words, I smiled even wider under my helmet. Their words trust me fully in this.

(Shoto) "Yuki. I'll go with you, too."

(Jiro) "I'm in."

(Ida) "The moment I think we've gone too far, it's over. If that's something you can agree to, I'll join you as well."

(Momo) "All right. If that's the case, I'll go, too."

(Denki) "Obviously I'm in."

(Toga) "Hehe… anywhere you go I go, Ren!"

(Mina) "Ugh! Why do you have to make good points class rep? I'm in!"

(Shinso) "Heh. Talk about time, man saying this."

Hearing their words, I went towards Melissa and asked for her help in a determined tone, eyeing her and extending a hand, "I'm sorry to ask this of you, Melissa, but we need your help. We need someone who knows how to change the settings on the island's security system. My plan relies on your cooperation. What say you?"

She looked at me with a smile, taking my hand and agreeing in a determined tone as she cheekily said, "Sure. You wouldn't know how to make things worse. Besides, it's like you said, right? Quirks don't make the hero's brains do, right?"

I nodded my head as I spoke to everyone, clenching my fist in a determined tone, "Let's do this. We'll save everyone. It's time to go beyond. Plus Ultra!"

"Plus Ultra!"

With that, we all began to move and give All Might one last look. It's time to show him that his trust wasn't misplaced.

~Third POV~

[I-Island, Central Tower – 2nd Floor – Reception Hall]

Meanwhile, All Might is bound by the restraining device, keeping his muscle form, trying to think of a way to escape in a worried tone, he thinks, 'I hope those kids are safe – what?!'

His eyes widened when he spotted Ren looking down at him from above, wearing his Hero Costume without the helmet he thought worriedly, 'Oh no! That look in your eyes. Don't tell me… Please. Run away!'

However, as if he knew his response, Ren shook his head, already determined, donning his helmet as All Might thought in a concerned tone, 'Don't! It's too dangerous. Just leave the tower!'

But Ren simply curtly shook his head, turning around and running up ahead with All Might be worried, but in his heart, he thought in a proud tone his successor choice, grinning, 'He's not going to leave. I know I should be furious that he's ignoring his teacher's wishes. But who am I kidding? If he didn't act right now, then he wouldn't be my successor. And have faith that they can get us out of this situation on their own. We're counting on you, fledging heroes!'

[Nighttime, I-Island, Central Tower – Top Floor – Control Room]

Meanwhile, Swordkil brought Sam and David to the top floor and spoke in a neutral tone, "Here's the smart guy."

Then, one of the henchmen spoke up in a neutral tone to the duo, "Good. Hurry up and unlock the vault."

Swordkil muttered, taking off his helmet mask in an annoyed tone, activating his quirk [Sword Arm] as his forearm is collapsible cone-shaped blades appearing at David's neck threateningly, "You're not the boss here. You heard him. I'd move quickly if you wanna keep your head on. Take'em."

The henchmen soon began to direct Sam and David to the storage room on the top floor. As they are going, Mr. Compress could be seen on a screen taking the tools needed to create the Quirk Amplification Device…

[I-Island, Central Tower, Emergency Stairs Landing 80th Floor]

At the same time, Ren's group finally arrived at the 80 floor, with Ida pointing out loud at the blocked entrance, alerting the group, "This route's blocked!"

Quickly asking, Shoto said stoically, their next step for their plan, "What should we do? Break through it?"

However, Melissa spoke in a neutral tone about the consequences of breaking through the gate, "If we did that. I'm sure the security system would alert the villains that someone's in here."

Seeing this, Ren used [Chart] to see if there were other means to go around the blocked passage as he responded swiftly, "Hmm… if that path is blocked, what about the other emergency staircase at the other end of the hallway? If we use these doors, they might trigger an alarm for the villains."

Everyone nodded as they proceeded to go through the other end of the hallway till they saw it was blocked as well with Shinso cursing out loud, "Shit! Seems like the villains don't want anyone coming now what?"

Looking through [Chart], Ren asked Melissa in a curious tone, noticing the room on the 80th floor, "Melissa, what's in this room on the 80th floor?"

Hearing that, she soon replied with a raised eyebrow as Ren checked his [Chart] of the mapping of the room, "Inside the 80th floor is a Plant Factory. They research the effects that Quirks have on fauna here. Why?"

Ren smirked under his mask as he enlarged the map for them to see in a confident tone, "I wanted to ask since I found our way up. There's a little vent up at the edge of the ceiling leading to? The one over here."

Melissa saw the blueprint map plans of the hologram chart as he exclaimed, her eyes squinting at the holographic map, "I think it runs under the maintenance room for the sunlight system…"

Ida's eyes widened as he exclaimed the possibility of the map showing an emergency ladder in a happy tone pointing out loud, "Ha! There's probably an emergency ladder in the maintenance room, right?"

Realizing what Ida was talking about, Melissa responded with doubt in her voice, issuing the problem in a conflicted tone, "Well, yeah, there is. But it's a manual release, so someone would have to be inside to let it down for us. If somebody climbs through the vent and to the exterior wall, they can get into the maintenance room."

Ochcao exclaims in an excited tone, finally getting another means further advance, "There must be another vent leading inside!"

Mina smirks, seeing the opportunity along with Melissa and Jiro, "They can get in that way!"

But that was when Shoto asked in the stoic tone of someone capable of being able to unlock their way, "But who can go through such a cramped space and then climb the outer wall without falling?"

All eyes soon landed on Ren as he spoke up in a determined tone with his Quirks, "I can do it. With my [Attract and Repel], I can stick to things easier and glide my way to unlock the entrance for you all."

They all nodded as they left things to Ren, and they all entered the Plant Factory on the 80th Floor. Using [Attract and Repel], Ren managed to reach the small latch from his [Chart] and proceeded to enter through the exterior, allowing his allies entrance to ascend the Central Tower raising the level floors.

As they proceeded upward without causing a slip-up, they soon managed to reach their way to the top. With no one to stop them, they proceeded with caution to the top undetected by the villains…
