Chapter 47: Time to pick some Names!

Chapter 47: Time to pick some Names!

~Ren Y. POV~

[15 Minutes Later, U.A. High School, Class 1-A, Japan]

15 minutes later, I paid attention to my classmates as Midnight spoke up getting everyone's attention, "Let's finish up. We can start with whoever's ready!"

The first to go up is the traitor Yuga Aoyama as he spoke up lifting a name card as he spoke in a proud tone, "Shining Hero: I cannot stop twinkling."

Seeing everyone disagree with that Mina soon got up in a cheerful tone, "Okay I'm next! Call me Alien Queen the Ridley Hero!!"

However, that was straight up denied with Midnight disagreeing as she explained, "From the sequel?! Is it because her blood was super acidic?! That's terrible!! Next!!"

Mina scoffed as Tsuyu raised her hands with the usual ribbit noise, "Can I go next, please?"

Nodding her head Tsuyu took on the front of the class showing her name card explaining her hero's name in a blunt tone, "I've had this thought out since elementary school. Call me the Rainy Season Hero: Froppy."

Midnight agreed with the name with a smile on her face as she exclaimed turning her attention to the class, "So cute!! It makes you sound like you'd be easy to get to know. The rest of you, take note. This is a perfectly lovable name!"

After she was done, I decided to observe everyone else's names before announcing my own with Kinoko, showing her hero name with more confidence in her voice, "The Mushroom Heroine: Shemage!"

With her showing up and getting approval Kirishima got up next in a confident tone, "I've got mine! The Sturdy Hero: Red Riot!"

Midnight blinked, mildly surprised as she commented on Kirishima's pick in an interested tone, "Red Riot! Could this be an homage to Chivalrous Hero: Crimson Riot?"

Kirishima nodded his head rubbing the back of his head explaining in a happy tone, "Right! I know he's from back in the day, but Crimson's the kind of hero I wanna be."

Midnight nodded her head and agreed as she took the name card, responding to Kirishima's enthusiasm in a calm tone, "Heh heh… just know that bearing the name of your personal hero comes with a lot of pressure."

Kirishima nodded as everyone soon began to show their hero names one by one. Each shows enthusiasm showing off to the class.

Hearing Hero: Earphone Jack.

Martial Arts Heroine: Battle Fist.

The Size Heroine: Rule.

Everything Hero: Creati.

Stealth Heroine: Invisible Girl.

Shoto.

Jet Black Hero: Tsukuyomi.

Taping Hero: Cellophane.

Stun Gun Hero: Chargebolt.

Pinky.

Uravity.

But soon, my attention was drawn to Toga as she introduced her heroine name in a proud tone, "This is a bit spot on, but it fits me perfectly. The Vampire Hero: Carmine."

Midnight smiled as she agreed with her pick going along with her Quirk in an approving tone, "Oh? Matches well with your Quirk Himiko. Do you have any inspirations from Blood Hero: Vlad King when creating your hero name?"

She meekly nodded her head as she explained lightly, blushing a bit in an embarrassed tone, "Uh… yeah. He uses his Quirk that is related to blood and showed even with a Quirk like his, he became a great hero. I wanted to follow in his footsteps, not being afraid of how people see my Quirk."

Midnight nodded her head, appreciating her honesty as she sat back down. With Bakugo and Ida needing more time choosing their names, that left… me and Shinso.

Not wanting to be outdone, Shinso stood up and showed his name card in a proud tone, showcasing his hero's name on his name card, "Seems like I'm next. I want to be called The Hijack Hero: Mindjack."

Mindjack. Has a nice ring to it with his Quirk.

Midnight agreed with a grin as she called me out being the last one to reveal my hero name in a curious tone, "Good! Sounds like a good Hero name for you Shinso. But now then… Ren Yuki, you seem to be the last one care to show to the class?"

Nodding my head, I went ahead to show my hero's name from this point forward in a neutral tone, said, "I have no fancy name like any of you guys, but I picked this one that suited me best for iconic reasons. The Mighty Morphing Hero: Power Ranger. Or Ranger to keep things short."

This raised some confusion in the class. But Midnight was quick to realize what this meant as she spoke with a cheeky grin on her face as she said, "Oh? Following All Might's footsteps, huh? Sounds perfect if you say to me!'"

I nodded exactly for that reason I spoke out in a sheepish tone, "Yeah. It was either that or my original name."

Midnight nodded her head as it was no big secret to the UA staff that I was All Might's successor to some who knew. Although I suppose I should also try to help my classmates level up.

But considering the training camp would be happening soon I'll need to reveal it soon enough since the principal would likely see what the extent of my abilities are using my party system.

If they could be used to enhance my classmate's stats, it would likely be seen as a good thing to help progress them. I wonder if I can make a profit by increasing their stats in return for cash in this world I wonder…

But otherwise, with Midnight stretching, Aizawa-Sensei began to hand out as he explained the Hero Internship in a stoic tone, "Your internships start in a week. For this all-important decision, I'll be handing out personalized lists to those who were drafted. You may choose from among those who scouted you. For those who were not drafted the list I just passed out contains 40 agencies from all over the country willing to accept interns. You will choose one from that list. Each has a different specialty and region. Give your choice some real thought."

He passed the class on each of our papers as I listened to Kirishima muttering in an excited tone, "I'm going for major crimes in the big city!"

Tsuyu commented in a blunt tone about her choices from the paper, "I'd like a place where I can deal with floods."

That was when Aizawa-Sensei spoke in a stoic tone, the time limit placed on us, "Submit your choices by this coming weekend."

Sero muttered, hearing that in a stunned tone, "We've only got two days to pick?!"

Being handed my paper, I began to check the options to choose for looking down on it. I viewed some potential hero agencies that I knew were taking my interest.

I raised an eyebrow, seeing her name on my internship paper. Considering she works alone so seeing her show up means I appeased her enough to be considered an intern.

That and she's a complete battle manic. I grinned at the thought. Not because she's sexy or cute, well, that helps, but because I can finally have someone push me over my limits without any regard for my well-being.

But before that, though, I must ask Nezu if there's a way I could grind on some strong opponents. And as I was writing down my choices are as follows.

First Choice: Hiroshima, Tokyo: Rabbit Hero Mirko's Agency?

Second Choice: Okinawa, Tokyo: Dragoon Hero Ryukyu Agency

Third Choice: Naruhata, Tokyo: Lady Nagant Agency?

I merely picked the last two since they would probably be the most useful in helping me when I form my own Hero Agency that battles crime or does investigative work like the Lady Nagant Agency or Ryukyu Agency dealing against drug users of the sort.

But currently, finding a way to fight is way better for me in the long run. Picking my choice, I began to hand it over to Aizawa-Sensei as he curtly asked in his stoic tone, "Oh right, I almost forgot. Ren Nezu wishes to speak with you after school."

I nodded my head, following Aizawa's words, leaving after class ended. I wonder what the furball wants with me now.

[After School, U.A. High School, Principal Office, Japan]

Entering the principal office I greeted Nezu in a respectful tone asking curiously about him summoning me here, "Good Afternoon Nezu. Did you call me here for something today?"

Nezu, pouring himself a cup of tea, nodded as he explained while I took a seat, "Yes. I called you in today, asking how you've been doing as of late. I hope everything hasn't been a hassle for you."

Smirking with a smile, I answered while asking if he could assist me in obtaining levels in a casual tone, "Everything's fine. But I was hoping to ask if there's some way that you can help me provide some enemies, I could level up to level 20 before the internship begins, allowing me to copy another Quirk."

Nezu takes a sip of his tea, curtly nodding his head, asking me in a curious tone about the next Quirk to copy next, "It'll be done. I'll have Ectoplasm have him summon his clones to fight against you. Although I'm quite curious what Quirk you're adding to your arsenal, young Yuki-kun?"

Crossing my arms, leaning my back at the chair, I was still a bit mixed on which quirk to add into my arsenal in an honest tone, "Possibly, but I'm kind of mixed on which ones to choose next. [Creation] with [High Spec] to make them useful to each other. Or an offensive speed Quirk after the fight with Shoto and Bakugo like [Overclock]… or lastly, Ectoplasm's Quirk [Clones] to help me gather more EXP for the internships…"

Nezu, listening to my dilemma, gave his input in a calm tone, giving a little bit of thought to his suggestion for the best course, "I see…. If I were you, I would probably get the [Clones] Quirk. [Creation] and [Overclock] are useful, I'll admit. But if you had more than one body gaining EXP, I suggest getting Ectoplasm's Quirk. It would be ideal to have one set of clones hone your skills while the other deals with everyday tasks."

Hmm… he does make a good point. Plus, with my [Gene Refinement], I could make my clones improve better than Ectoplasm-Sensei [Clones] Quirk.

Curtly nodding my head, I decided I'd aim for his [Clones] Quirk. Having multiple copies could do me some good, allowing me to do more than I can do by myself, and with me having multiple copies I could gain more EXP doing it this way.

And as a result, have a surveillance network that only I can access with my clones. Yeah… I'm leaning toward the idea.

Curtly nodding my head, I smiled as I asked Nezu in an excited tone, "How soon can you call Ectoplasm Sensei so we can begin the grinding session to level 20."

He smirked as he pressed a button, "Right now."

God, Nezu is the goat. All hail sugar daddy Nezu!
