STUCK IN THE ELEVATOR

Both Melanie and Meryl are chatting as they are tidying their house. Meryl reminds Melanie not to forget to show up for her dance competition because she is always her biggest fan. Melanie assures Meryl that she will try her best to show up at her show despite having a late day shift at work. The next day comes and Melanie rushes to the hospital for her shift,she has to do two shifts today because some doctors are on leave. She gets to the nursing desk and she is reminded that one of her patients in room for is in need of her so that she could give her another urinary bag.

She quickly goes straight to that room and finds the old man in pain,his urinary bag had been full and he insisted that only Melanie could change it for him. she does that so fast and gets back to the next room to check on her other patient and realizes that the old woman's blood pressure has gone high so she does the necessary to help her feel better. her last round then comes to the room on the furthest end where she has to check up on the young girl suffering from leukemia. The girl is already at her room with her mother and she asks Melanie if shoe would one day get out of the hospital. Melanie assures her that she will be fine and go back to school as usual.The young girl always see Melanie as her elder sister and she is always free with her.

The nurse in charge then comes and scolds Melanie for creating a mutual relationship with her patients. he never want to see her telling stories to her patients as he says it is unprofessional so Melanie just leaves the room and goes on to the nursing desk. She finds one of her friends there and asks her about how her morning ward rounds had been and she tells her that it has been hectic but worth it. she now fills her reports and because she had promised Meryl that she would attend the show,she just had to do anything to make sure that she does not fail her. It gets dark and she really has to get to the show so she larks her belongings so fast into her handbag and heads straight to the theater.

Melanie gets into a taxi and it rushes her to the other side of the town. she finally gets to the location where Meryl had told her and she gets into the building in a rush. She has to use an elevator to get to the 11th floor so she rushes to the elevator and finds one man already inside. She joins him and seconds later a waiter also gets to the building carrying a tray of food to be served. They realize that they are all going above the tenth floor so Melanie sets the elevator to first stop at the 11th floor. Minutes later the elevator fails and the three of them gets stranded and Melanie realizes that the waiter is claustrophobic and he is being affected with the incident. She tries to use her nursing knowledge to help him get better as the other guy tries to call for help.

He realizes that his phone has lost network and so is Melanie's phone,they then just have to keep staying there and make sure that help comes there way. Minutes later the door opens and a man carrying tools gets in,he seems to have been a technician who has come to rectify the situation so that they could get to their destinations. "Hi?,am really sorry that the three of you are stuck inside this elevator but don't worry because am here to help you." He said. They all felt relieved and could not wait to see the elevator moving again. The other man seemed to have been so much interested in knowing much about Melanie but there was no time for that because the elavator was now working and she had to alight and get to the theater.

The waiter was the next to alight and he was also heading to the theater to deliver the food to the people who had ordered. Meryl was really happy after noticing that Melanie was in the room watching her dance though she never saw her coming in because she was busy dancing together with her crew. The dancers then take a break and Meryl gets to where Melanie was sitting. "Am glad that you finally got here to watch me dance." She said. "Getting here was not easy because I got stuck together with two other men in the elevator." Melanie said. Meryl could not believe that Melanie had gone through all that just to watch her performance. They go back home and because they are all very tired,they just refresh before taking supper.

Melanie cannot forget her incident at the elevator and she is wondering about whatever could have happened to the waiter if by any chance she was not with him. She thanks herself for being there to help him while he was in need of help. Rodriguez on the other hand is also inside his house and all he is thinking about is the lady he was stuck with at the elevator. He is regretting why he never asked the lady for her contacts during that time. he really wishes to have such a great woman by his side and the problem is that he might never see her again. He again gives himself hopes that they would one day meet again and he would make his intentions right. He is not in a rush to find love so he take it slow in finding her.

Melanie is back at the hospital and she is doing her normal morning ward rounds before writing her report. She meets the old man who tells her that he is feeling a bit better so she checks his blood pressure and heartbeat before going to the next room to check on the old woman whom she finds busy reading a novel. The woman is always very happy to see her so she tells her that she is reading a romantic novel which makes her feel that she is young again. It reminds her of her youthful days when men would fight for her love and she only chose one man who later married her and they together had two kids. Melanie is impressed by her story and wishes to have such a great love story too. He is getting a transfer because the government had come to notice that there were excess doctors at the hospital he was working at previously yet there was a certain hospital with less doctors and some patients could leave unattended to.

She goes to the last room and finds the tough girl in a bad condition,she is shivering and her mother is sobbing. Her pressure has gone to high and she is in great pain too so Melanie quickly helps her and makes her relax. She promises her that everything will be okay and to also come back later to check up on her. She thanks Melanie for making her feel better again and for always being her favourite nurse. She goes back to her nursing desk and her boyfriend calls to remind her of their love. The two had broken up earlier and he was now try to win back Melanie's heart for the second time.

She had broken up with him after finding him with another woman on his bed. Melanie could not believe her eyes so she just left and went back to her house to cry and it was only Meryl wgo comforted her. Meryl had always been by her side all the time and because she loved Jack so much,she asked him to give her more time to think about getting back with him. Jack was okay with that and so Melanie just went ahead with her duties. Rodriguez is just chilling in his house and he is waiting for the government to give him transfer to another hospital. He does not know the hospital yet and is waiting for the reporting letter. He is a doctor by profession and he had helped so many patients since he began the practice. Melanie goes back home and tells Meryl about Jack's call Meryl asks her to be careful because he might be trying to get back to get so that he can hurt her again. Melanie then tells Meryl that she will give him a one last chance and that if he does not act responsibly,she will definitely dump him for another man.

She jumps on her bed and starts going through her past photos with Jack from the time she agreed to become his girlfriend. She blames herself for their breakup saying that maybe Jack cheated on her because of her tight schedule with work . Meryl asks her on why she normally take the blame each time their relationship is having issues yet she has done nothing wrong. She tells Melanie that Jack just does not love her and she should think twice before giving him a second chance.
