Nothing ever goes wrong(chapter 103)

A/N ah fuck, i though i released a chapter yesterday, but it was just a title, sorry about that, but you guys get 2 chapter today

Chapter 103

Just as he was starting to work on the Library Project, he paused as he thought, "Hmm, I haven't even put the title on my magnum opus," as he stroked his chin. "I was waiting until I finished the Golden Library to start the work, but what is even going to be my magnum opus?" As an alchemist, Henry does indeed need a magnum opus, as it proves that he is a competent alchemist. "Maybe a potion that makes me a god once consumed?" he thought before shaking his head. "Maybe an armor, or a weapon?" The more he thought about it, the more he shook his head. "No, it's got to be something different, something unique," he smiled as he got an idea.

[ some time later ]

In Lagos, present day, Wanda Maximoff, also known as Scarlet Witch, calmly stirs sugar into her cup, surveying the quiet street outside. Steve Rogers' voice comes through her earpiece, "All right, what do you see?" Wanda assesses the scene: "Standard beat cops. Small station. Quiet street. It's a good target." Steve, analyzing the surroundings, notes, "There's an ATM in the south corner, which means... cameras." Wanda adds, "So, compromised escape routes." Steve concludes, "Means our guy doesn't care about being seen; he isn't afraid to make a mess on the way out." As they continue, Natasha Romanoff, seated nearby, chimes in on the radio about a bulletproof Range Rover on the block, suggesting private security and potential trouble. Wanda playfully remarks, "You guys know I can move things with my mind, right?" Natasha reminds her, "Looking over your shoulder needs to become second nature," leading Sam Wilson to tease, "Anybody ever tell you you're a little paranoid?" Natasha quips back, "Not to my face. Why? Did you hear something?"

Steve, focused on their mission, directs, "Eyes on target, folks. This is the best lead we've had on Rumlow in six months. I don't want to lose him." Sam notes that if Rumlow sees them coming, "He kind of hates us." As a garbage truck forcefully pushes through traffic, Steve instructs Sam, "See that garbage truck? Tag it." Sam deploys a small drone from his Falcon jet pack, which scans the truck and reports it's loaded to max weight, with the driver armed. Natasha identifies it as a battering ram, and Steve orders, "Go now." The truck crashes into the Institute for Infectious Diseases, allowing armed soldiers to storm the compound. Steve arrives, taking out several soldiers, noting their body armor and AR-15s, "I make seven hostiles." Sam, flying above, counters, "I make five," as he expertly takes down two soldiers and assists Wanda by catching a soldier she had lifted into the air.

Chapter 106

Wanda, floating over the rooftop, deflects gunfire with her powers. As Sam's drone scans the building, he reports, "Rumlow's on the third floor." Steve directs Wanda, "Just like we practiced," and she questions, "What about the gas?" Steve orders, "Get it out." With precision, Wanda uses her powers to lift Steve and send him crashing through a window, where he swiftly disarms a soldier, pulling off their gas mask as the team presses forward in their mission.

Rumlow storms through a building, knocking down a door and brushing aside a technician to reach a container labeled "bio-hazard." "Pack it up," he orders. Meanwhile, Steve, hidden behind a pillar, hurls his shield, taking down a soldier, while Wanda uses her powers to remove gas from the building and Sam exchanges fire with other soldiers. Rumlow steps onto a balcony and notices Steve's team. "He's here," he mutters. Inside, Steve realizes the vial is missing. "Rumlow has a biological weapon," he says, just as Natasha arrives on a motorcycle, ready to intervene. She takes down several soldiers before Rumlow grabs her and drags her onto an armored vehicle, but she quickly electrocutes him. "I don't work like that no more," Rumlow sneers, throwing her into the vehicle and dropping a grenade in after her. Natasha shields herself from the blast using a soldier, but the explosion hurls her out of the vehicle.

Steve spots Rumlow from the balcony. "Sam. He's in an AFV heading north," he alerts. Inside the vehicle, Rumlow secures the biological weapon and orders a soldier, "Take this to the airstrip. We're not gonna outrun them. Lose the truck." The truck crashes, and Rumlow and his men emerge, splitting up. Sam lands on a rooftop, scanning the area with his goggles. "I got four, they're splitting up," he reports. Natasha, back on her motorcycle, abandons it to pursue the soldiers on foot. "I got the two on the left," she says as she runs across car hoods. Steve, running too, notices the soldiers have ditched their gear. "It's a shell game now. One of them has the payload," he says. Suddenly, a bomb is thrown at Steve, sticking to his shield. He quickly tosses it away, and it detonates safely in the air. Rumlow appears behind Steve and attacks. "There you are, you son of a bitch. I've been waiting for this!" Rumlow growls.

Sam takes out his two targets but finds no payload. "I'm empty," he says. Natasha continues her pursuit and engages two soldiers in combat, ultimately facing off with one who produces the vial. "Drop it. Or I'll drop this," the soldier threatens. But Redwing intervenes, disarming the soldier, and Natasha secures the vial. "Payload secure. Thanks, Sam," she says, refusing to acknowledge Redwing. Sam teases, "He's cute. Go ahead, pet him." Meanwhile, Steve and Rumlow continue their brutal fight, with Rumlow finally pinning Steve to a building and revealing a blade. "This is for dropping a building on my face," Rumlow sneers. Steve disarms him, but Rumlow pulls out another knife, only to be bested again. Defeated, Rumlow reveals his scarred face, taunting Steve about Bucky. "He remembered you. He got all weepy about it. Till they put his brain back in a blender. He said to me, 'Please tell Rogers. When you gotta go, you gotta go.' And you're coming with me," Rumlow says, activating a bomb vest.

Steve braces for the explosion, but Wanda contains it, lifting Rumlow into the air. However, she loses control, and the blast devastates nearby buildings. Horrified by the destruction, Wanda is scarred by what she's done. "Oh my..." Steve murmurs, staring at the aftermath. "Sam... We need... Fire and Rescue... on the south side of the building. We gotta get up there," he says, his voice heavy with the weight of the disaster. 

Meanwhile henry is just watching all of that take place as a golden miniature sphere floats beside him as he though, "its nice that everything is going as it supposed to, i was afraid that they might be some unexpected things happening due to my earlier unthoughtful actions" before making the miniature sphere disappear, "either way, the accord would be passed soon, and the avengers would be no more" which made him happy, after all, the avengers where on the list of people that needed to go, although they werent a priority, "now all i have to do, is wait and watch" as he then sighted, "time flies" the reason he was saying was quite simple, he was supposed over see what shield was upto, especially with the teleporting stone as well as paying attention to iron fist, but he got caught up in creating his magnum opus, that he just sidelined them, but of course he had one eye on them, so they didnt do nothing too unexpected, "but then again, nothing unexpected ever happens" he sighted.
