Valentina gasped. "Vampire hunter?" she exclaimed.
"Yes," he said quietly, his voice laced with caution. "There's a hunter, one who's been tracking me for months."
Valentina's eyes widened as she pulled her hand from his, her pulse quickening. "Why didn't you tell me? A hunter, Lucian?"
Lucian nodded. "He was working alone since no one believed him when he said vampires are real. But now that your brother had revealed that werewolves exist, he had the chance to recruit more people in his…um…army."
Valentina's eyes widened. "So he is hunting werewolves too?"
Lucian nodded, his expression grave. "Yes. He expanded his target."
Valentina felt a chill run down her spine. "This is insane. How many people does he have with him?"
Lucian shrugged. "No idea. I stay in the shadows. He hadn't been able to track me down. I have loyal friends in this club who keep me informed and warn me when he is around."
