Marvel: The Gene Collector

Alex, a seemingly ordinary guy, woke up one fateful day to find himself in a perplexing situation. He had been inexplicably transmigrated into the body of a teenager who shared his own name, Alex, but with a heart-wrenching twist – this Alex had perished in the unforgiving confines of a Nazi concentration camp. As the bewildered Alex tried to make sense of his surreal circumstances, a chance encounter with a boy known as Eric, who also bore the alias of Magneto, thrust him into a world beyond his wildest imagination. To Alex's astonishment, dormant within him was a unique genetic collection system, a latent power that had awakened with his newfound identity. It allowed him to wield an unparalleled advantage in his new world. As long as Alex could obtain a strand of the target's hair or any sample of their DNA, he possessed the uncanny ability to replicate and even enhance their extraordinary talents. With every strand of DNA he collected, Alex's powers grew, and the stakes soared ever higher. In this intricate dance of powers and principles, Alex's journey promised to be an electrifying tale of transformation, redemption, and the relentless pursuit of power and justice in the marvel universe where the extraordinary was the norm. But one profound question always troubled in his mind. "What will happen if I tie up Sebastian Shaw and throw him into an aquarium." ======= Disclaimer It's important to note that I do not assert any ownership over the material, as they fall under the category of fanfiction, creatively derived from existing works.

Decision

When Alex saw the little boy with a bald head dressed in white, it instantly clicked. This was the same boy from *X-Men: The Last Stand* who played a crucial role in creating the antidote that sparked the Mutant civil war.

This antidote was the catalyst for the dramatic conflict in the X-Men universe. It had led to Charles Xavier's death, Jean Grey's demise, and even caused Eric (Magneto) to lose his abilities. The civil war that ensued resulted in the creation of the last organization, the "198," leaving only 198 Mutants remaining in the world.

It was clear that the story of X-Men's abilities was now unfolding.

Jimmy's power to negate other Mutants' abilities was a critical issue. Even if Charles had used the brain wave amplifier before, he couldn't detect Jimmy's presence, or perhaps Jimmy had come to Paradise and been discovered by Charles and the others.

Eric, speaking up, voiced his concern: "The child's ability is inherently designed to eliminate Mutants. It might be best to deal with him as soon as possible."

Eric's worry was palpable. If Charles hadn't intervened, Eric might have taken drastic measures against Jimmy. Though Jimmy was a Mutant, his ability was a natural counter to other Mutants, and in the wrong hands, it could spell extinction for their kind.

Charles, conflicted, struggled with the decision of whether to kill Jimmy or spare him, given that Jimmy was also a Mutant.

Eric's fears weren't without basis. Without Alex's foresight in establishing Paradise to protect and house all Mutants, there was a genuine risk that Jimmy's ability could be exploited to develop an antidote that could suppress Mutant abilities, even if temporarily.

From the final scenes in *X-Men: The Last Stand*, it was evident that Eric's powers had eventually been restored, suggesting that the antidote's effects were not permanent.

However, the emergence of this antidote led to a war between the Mutant Brotherhood, humans, and the X-Men, resulting in heavy casualties on both sides.

Alex watched Jimmy's eyes twinkling and made a decision in his heart.

Looking at Charles and Eric, he asked faintly, "Are you willing to make him an ordinary person, or are you willing to make him a member of our country?"

"If you are willing to let him become an ordinary person, I will copy his ability and turn him into an ordinary person. If you are willing to let him become one of us, I will optimize it according to his genes to achieve freedom of flexibility."

Alex's words caused Eric and Charles to fall into contemplation. It is reasonable to say that Jimmy's ability would be better off if he were made an ordinary person, but no one knows if his genes might still be used by humans to develop the antidote.

Therefore, it's better to keep him under their control.

"It's better to let his ability retract and unwind freely, so he can live safely in his ideal country, rather than outside." Charles and Eric's opinions were surprisingly consistent this time.

"That's fine," Alex agreed.

Jimmy stopped the game, looked at Alex, and asked, "Can I stay in Ideal Land?"

"Definitely," Alex replied. He took a drop of Jimmy's blood and added it to the system inventory.

In Alex's system inventory, there were more than 600,000 X genes and over 300,000 abilities. This was mainly because some abilities were duplicated. For example, Polaris and Magneto shared the same ability, so it was only counted once. Gene X didn't include abilities that were the same.

But Alex didn't integrate everything, mainly depending on whether the ability was useful to him. His current abilities were already extremely strong, and if it were just Jimmy's ability, it wouldn't be particularly noteworthy.

After strengthening and integrating Jimmy's genes, Alex gained another extremely powerful ability.

This ability could not only retract freely but also isolate all other abilities, which was simply terrifying.

While Alex was enhancing himself, he didn't forget to optimize the system with Jimmy's gene.

A colorless, transparent potion appeared in Alex's hand. After Jimmy drank it, a trace of pain flashed across his face.

But the next moment, Alex was pleasantly surprised to find that he could freely retract and release Jimmy's nullification ability. A broad smile spread across his face.

"Alright, let Charles take care of you now," Alex said with a grin, patting Jimmy's bald head before standing up and walking out.

"Is it really sorted?" Charles asked, seeing Alex heading for the exit.

"Absolutely. This guy will be your responsibility now. Keep teaching him; your Xavier Institute for Gifted Youngsters is expanding nicely," Alex replied with a smile.

There were many mutants on the island, and numerous children among them. At least one hundred thousand mutants were still kids.

"Haha, I look forward to more and more mutant children joining my school. These young ones are the future hope of our kind," Charles said with a laugh.

Though this period had been exhausting, it felt incredibly worthwhile.
