"As a teacher, school sucks. Hisoki runs towards his designated classroom, ten minutes late. Why was he late? He's the damn teacher! He huffs, running down the identical halls, the room numbers slowly rising. 206, 207, 208,209….. He was going to be teaching in room 221, what hall was that in again? He had tried to look nice for school, having his black hair flat ironed, and a brown tie to match his shoes. His vintage shoulder bag was starting to weigh on him, slowing down his movements. The bell had already rung ten minutes ago, but he wasn't even at school by that time. His entire morning routine was set back thirty minutes, since his alarm didn't wake him up, his dog did. "Come on.." Hisoki muttered, continuing to run down the halls. 219, 220, 221, 222- oh wait! He took a couple of steps back, placing his hand on the door." At Yokosa's Boys School of the World, only the richest and smartest get to go. So when five boys with polar opposite personalities get put in an English class together, chaos always erupts. And secrets always go down in flames.

Chapter 35

Harley was sitting on a bed in one of Hisoki's rooms. He had needed some space away from the chaotic six, and he knew slipping away was alway the best idea. He was scrolling through Instagram, humming an old japanese song. There was a soft knock on the door, but before he could say anything, someone opened the door. It was Kai, great. Harley sighed, looking at the boy.

"What?" He asked harshly. Kai gave him a frown. Harley didn't care. "Can you be a little nicer?" "I'm not nice to idiots." Harley said, setting his phone down. Kai huffeed, rolling his eyes. "I was getting boba for everyone yesterday, and I met this girl. She told me to tell you to call her." Harley stared at him. At first, he thought Kai just wanted to tell him something interesting about his day, but Harley also knew Kai wouldn't say that. "What's her name?" Harley asked, suddening intrigued.

"Loni."

He shouldn't be shocked. Loni works part time at a boba shop. He should have known that it was her. He wasn't shocked, nor mad, nor sad. He was…. Content. It was freaking even Harley out. "I'll make sure to do that. Thanks for telling me." Harley voiced forcefully. Kai looked at him confused for a moment, before smiling slightly. "Anytime." He said, before stepping out the room, shutting the door. Harley sighed, shutting his eyes and pinching the bridge of his nose. He had to talk to her, he needed to anyway. '

He picked up his phone, dialing her number, and praying she wouldn't pick up as the phone rang. She answered. "Harley?" She asked, breathlessly. The student didn't say anything for a moment, before laying down fully on the bed. He shut his eyes. "You wanted to talk?" Harley asked, hearing different machines in the microphone. She must be at work…. Why did she pick up the phone?!

"Yes! I did. I am so sorry! I promise it was really only a one time thing, I just needed to do it for a friend. You know I love you Harley, to the moon and back. I really do want to get back together. I miss us. I miss you." She said, her voice saddening towards the end. Harley stayed silent, processing all of her words. Why would she do something like that for a friend. What would she gain, a good fuck?

"Is that it?"

"No! Of course not. Don't think I'm a cheater, because I'm not. I really do regret everything, every single thing I have ever done. Being with you was like paradise, all of the gifts and for me to do this. I am a terrible person, I understand. But please don't break up with me, I love you so much and I wouldn't be able to let you go." Harley stayed silent once again, this time letting her catch a breath.

"Is that it?"

He knew how he was acting. But he couldn't do anything else. He loved that girl, or at least he thought he did, and she did this. It didn't break him, but showed a new side he had never seen before. "I- yeah. I guess it is." She said, disappointed. Loni sighed, as Harley frowned. "Ok. Well, Loni. In the end you did what you did and that was that-"

"Harley! Don't! You know I love you so much. Please, don't do this." She begged. She sounded like she was on the verge of tears. Harley shakily sighed. "I'm sorry, Loni. But, I can't just forget about it. I'm sorry." He whispered. He sat up, looking down at his lap. Loni was silent for a second, worrying Harley. "Ok, I understand. But really, I will forever love you." Harley hummed, sighing. "Goodbye Loni."

"Bye, Harley."

It was weird to break up with someone you have been dating for a long time. He didn't feel empty, or broken, or like he was missing something. He felt separated from memories. As if they were false, simple deja vu. He never remembered when it was just the two of them. However, he did remember her always with him. At the movies, at games, even sometimes at school. During important times in his life, she was always there. It was weird for her to not be there anymore.

There was a soft knock on the door, even more subtle than Kai's. Harley stayed quiet for a moment, before sighing. "Come in I guess." He mumbled. Hisoki slightly opened the door, shutting it behind him. "Hey.." He said quietly, as if to not disturb the air. Harley looked up at him, annoyed. He really couldn't have a minute of peace?

"What do you want?" He demanded. He looked away from Hisoki, instead at the white, carpeted floor. It was soft and comforting. The only comforting thing in this room. "I didn't want to eavesdrop, but I heard you from outside, are you ok?" He asked shyly. Harley shrugged. He would have instantly said no, would have told the other to get the hell out. But Hisoki talked about things that he couldn't say to anyone, Harley should probably stop being as hostile to the other.

Hisoki seemed more human to Harley than ever before.

"I had to break up with my girlfriend." He explained, scooting over to give Hisoki a seat. The professor sits down beside him. "If I may, what happened?" Hisoki asked. He didn't look at Harley, and the student was very thankful. "She- uh… She cheated.." Harley hesitantly provided, letting his thumb draw a circle on his other hand. Hisoki doesn't have any certain reaction, instead quietly nodding his head. The moment stays quiet, and that's when Harley realizes.

He hates the silence.

THe student claps his hands, standing up and smiling down at Hisoki. It was almost weird to smile at the other, but there was no reason to not smile. "I'm ok though. Seriously, I'm starting to question if I actually even loved the girl." He says, shrugging with a grin. Why was he saying all this to Hisoki? Why would he do that? Hisoki stared up at him, obviously unsure.

"You're crying.."

Harley's hand quickly went to his cheek, wiping the crystal tear away. He won't let himself cry, not again. He's been crying too much recently. Harley lets out a shaky sigh as Hisoki frowns at him. Hisoki stands, Harley not noticing how close the two were. Right before he was able to step back, the door opened, Wafi freezing at the door. "Oh… uh sorry…" He mumbled, before shutting the door. Hisoki's head was still facing the door when Harley stepped back.

"Weird.." Harley muttered, before walking to the door. He opened the door for Hisoki. "Let's go." He said, his voice still. Hisoki stares at him, for a moment. Wait…. Oh no. "Wait, are you shifting or something?" Harley asked worriedly. Hisoki looked up at him, his face changing slightly to amusement. "Wha- no. I was just confused as to why you are being so nice to me." He explained. Harley sighed a breath of relief, but soon got agitated. He was not going to say the real reason, he's not that stubid. At least, not now.

Harley rolled his eyes, walking out first and leaving the door open for Hisoki.
