Leviathan's Might
A long, long time ago the cultivation world was truly prosperous. Although it was rare, geniuses had the chance to ascend to a higher world. However, cultivators cared more ‘about reaching the peak’ than sustainability. Thus after a few billion years even low grade resources became scarce.
At this point the world was completely embroiled in war. A conflict between sects would even break out over the resources for the most basic qi gathering pill. This was known as the Age of Strife. Eventually the most powerful of cultivators either died, got crippled, or simply rushed to ascend for better resources. Those who were left had to scrounge for the remains but most cultivation methods had either been taken during ascension, destroyed, or partially destroyed.
An uncountable amount of time later a young man is loved by his family but seen as a waste by others. As the eighth prince of a kingdom, within a strength based hierarchical world, Sam Blade was expected to be strong enough to support the kingdom. Sadly he had always been sickly, causing the nobles to despise him even though his family loved him. Thus, under the pressure of nobles, he grew up fast. Despised by the nobles for finding corruption, when the nobles learned that Sam’s younger brother would be entering a cultivation sect and needed a guard for the journey they pressured the king to make sickly Sam be the guard. After all, the labyrinth, the route across the ocean, was known to be deadly and this was a good chance to remove the prince who seeks out the corrupt.
One day something falls from the heavens and crashes into Sam Blade just as tribulation lighting strikes it. Referred to as the Leviathan’s Might, how will this affect his life? Will Sam finally find a purpose in life or will things merely become worse? Journey with him to find out!
