Chapter 42- Two giants

As the Straw Hats set sail towards Little Garden, the atmosphere on the ship was complicated. Law and Chopper were busy exchanging medical knowledge in Law's room, while Katakuri trained the crew in more intense training regiments and also trained them in armament haki to take his mind off his problem. Usopp tried to talk to him, but Katakuri was unresponsive when talking about his conversion with Chopper.

Sanji started to learn how to bake in the giant proportion needed for Katakuri's donuts, after all, making a dough large enough to create several two-meter donuts and then developing it enough is one hell of a task. Nami, of course, was behind the helm. While Brook started to develop his soul powers under Luffy's suggestion. {All those who I haven't mentioned like Zoro and Usopp are the ones receiving training from Katakuri at the moment}

Soon enough they reached Little Garden. "Uh, so why are we here?" Usopp asked in a confused voice. "There are two very important giants who I want to talk to", Luffy replied.

*BOOM* a nearby volcano erupted. "Speak of the devil, let's go to them right now", Luffy said. The Straw Hats prepared to drop anchor, while a loud clashing sound was heard near the volcano. As the Straw Hats got near the volcano, they saw two giants who were fighting one another. These giants were Dorry and Brogy.

A loud crash resounded as weapons hit each other. 'I can see why Mama wanted to recruit the giants so badly', Katakuri thought while seeing Dorry and Borgy exchange blows.

"So, what's the plan?" Law asked. "Although I want to talk to them, I can't just stop their duel. It's an ancient giant tradition and it's not our place to interfere" Luffy said.

"That doesn't really answer my question" Law retorted. Luffy thought for a moment and then turned to Law and Katakuri. "This is the plan. Law, when the volcano erupts again take Katakuri with you and teleport to the volcano. Then, you'll use your ability to cut the edges of the volcano and teleport them so that they'll basically flout above the lave. Next, Katakuri will create a giant mochi arm and push down the lava with the help of the pieces you'll cut while covering his giant arm with armament haki. And, of course, don't make your arm to stiff Katakuri, or you won't be able to stop the lava that'll escape between the cracks"

"And what makes you think I'll be able to hold on?", Katakuri asked, "I had a chance to fight Akainu and from that, I can safely say that Lava is no joke. Not to mention that looking at these giants, it'll take them a day or two at least before they exhaust their stamina". "That's why you won't touch the lava directly, not most of it anyway, that's what the pieces Law will cut are for and the lave itself is much weaker then Akainu's since he trained his ability to a monstrous degree. But you don't even need to worry about since the lava will be shot at you with extremely low power. Compared to a normal volcano eruption that is"

"Why?" Nami stepped in as she was curious about the situation. "This volcano has been erupting every day for a century at least, as a result, the power from its eruption is low as the pressure in the volcano is pathetically weak and lava bearly flows out anymore". Luffy explained. "And as a last result, if by any chance you feel overwhelmed, Law can just teleport the Lave to the sea for some time to let you rest". "fine. let's go, Law", Katakuri said.

It was just another cheerful day for Dorry and Brogy, the last fight ended in a draw, as always. They were eating lunch when the volcano erupted. They both took their weapons, Dorry with a one-handed sword and a shield, while Brogy had a small ax and a shield. As they charged at each other, Dorry made a thrust with his sword arm aimed at Brogy's head. Brogy instantly raised his shield arm to deflect the hit, and when the sword slid over his head, he took advantage of Dorry's open rib-cage and attempted to hit him with his shield. Dorry, however, wasn't an amateur, and he jumped backward.

"Hhahaha, are you ready Brogy?" Dorry asked with a wide smile on his face. "Gurarara, ready to kick your ass!" Brogy replied with an equally wide smile.

This time Brogy swung his ax horizontally as he aimed to hit Dorry's Shield shoulder. Dorry defended with his shield, which resulted in Brogy's ax getting a little stuck in the wooden shield. Dorry saw an opportunity and swung his sword vertically at Brogy's ax arm which was still clashing with his shield. Brogy didn't have time to retract his arm as his ax was still somewhat stuck, so he ended up moving his shield arm in an awkward position to block Dorry's attack.

The fight continued with no one getting the upper hand for long, but after a couple of hours the two giants started to notice something weird. They were getting more exhausted than usual. Their swings got clumsier and they had to dodge more.

"Ugh" Dorry let out a grunt as he dodged Brogy's ax and replied with a stab of his own. Brogy, being the fat giant he was, couldn't dodge in time and got a nasty cut on his shield arm. *Huf* *Huf* Borgy breathed heavily as he took a step back. Dorry didn't let him rest though, and charged forward with his sword aimed at Brogy's head, Brogy saw a chance and threw his ax at Dorry's right thigh(the one that's on the side of his sword arm). Dorry already had his sword up and ready for the stab, and him being a giant he didn't have the mobility to stop himself mid-charge, so he could only jump above the ax. Dorry jumped and managed to bearly avoid the ax, and the ax got stuck in a tree far behind them, but it was at that moment that Brogy ripped off a tree from the ground, and hit Dorry's defenseless head like a baseball.

Dorry flew in the air and hit a poor T-rex that was just minding his own business, but then Dorry caught the T-rex's tail and threw him at Broggy. "Hahaha! Enjoy your new friend" Dorry laughed at Brogy who caught the T-rex by the neck and chokeslamed him on the ground with a crazy smile. Even in this harsh battle, they both enjoyed themselves. They were true giants worthy of their title.

Dorry ran towards Brogy and attempted to stab his empty hand. Brogy, who didn't have a weapon, picked up the incredibly Poor T-rex by it's tail and used him as an improvised club. Dorry saw the attack, and he decided to throw his sword at Brogy as the T-rex was far longer than his sword since he couldn't block Brogy's attack with only his one-handed shield.

Brogy, in response, used his one-handed shield to deflect the sword, but as a result, his swing's trajectory was changed and the T-rex missed Dorry and hit the ground, whimpering with pain.

Dorry dropped his shield and took a fighting stance with only his fists, and Brogy who saw this dropped his shield and the poor T-rex as he got into the same stance as Dorry.

As the two charged at each other, they let out a battle cry that shook the whole island.
