chapter 14- Usopp

{So a couple of things before we start. First I've seen a lot of people saying I forgot about Coby and such but it was intentional for the story, Luffy has lived for a thousand years and the human brain, even in one piece, just can't remember all of the stuff Luffy went through. I want to play with this a bit but Luffy will have moments where he doesn't remember the important stuff. Secondly I want to apologize for the quality of the last chapter. I wrote it only a couple hours before my final so I couldn't provide the normal quality, especially with Nami, and I will try to improve on that aspect. on the other hand, the final went really well and I'm predicting my score to be around 85~90}

"Where to now, Luffy?" Nami asked as she took the wheel. "Set sail to Syrup island, I heard a famous group of pirates will reunite there in a couple of days and I want to take them down" I lied, well I wasn't totally lying but I couldn't tell them about Usopp now could I?. "Are they strong?" Zoro asked as he pondered who are our new enemies, "shut up moss head the important part is, do they have any cute girls" Sanji asked in anticipation. "Well as far as I know they are only men so no luck there" I laughed as Sanji looked disappointed and went to the kitchen to make some snacks. "Well as long as they have money on them I am happy" Nami joined our conversation, "we will see about that but for now let's go already!" I said impatiently as I couldn't wait to arrive on the island.

*Couple of days later*

We finally arrived on Syrup island. While Nami was sinking the anchor{I don't know how to say that she parked the ship can someone help?} she complained "I remember you told me this is a ship you and Zoro got from some pirates can we exchange her? she's ugly".

I already spotted Usopp and some kids hiding in some trees, and so did Zoro as he pointed a finger at them and asked "so what's up with them?". The kids ran as soon as they were discovered, yelling in terror, and left Usopp alone in his "hiding" spot.

"Hahahaha are you here to pay tribute to the grate pirate captain Usopp?" Usopp said, trying to lie his way out of the situation. "You're Yasopp's kid right?" I asked, "you know my dad?!" Usopp was shocked as even he didn't know where his dad was. "Yes, he is one of the commanders at the red hair pirates. In other words, he is one of the captains of a yonko level force" I explained, "...my dad is a captain on a yonko ship?" Usopp asked, not sure if he was dreaming.

"yes, he was bu-" "YESSSSS I ALWAYS KNEW MY DAD WAS AN AWESOME PIRATE!". Although Usopp didn't show it I knew he was afraid that his dad was some no-name pirate that decided to abandon him for some pitiful reason. so I decided to bring him some good news, but after Usopp finished his celebrating I continued.

"As I was saying we are here because in a couple of days a former pirate group called the black cat pirates, and after some investigations, we arrived at the conclusion that the captain of the black cat pirates is currently here and is serving as a butler". Nami, Sanji, and Zoro were confused but as they were about to speak I continued speaking "he is probably a butler of a high-class family so have you seen any suspicious butler trying to isolate a sick lady?".

This was way too specific but luckily Usopp had already disliked Kuro and strangely enough, he was a lier that believed anything someone said so he immediately said "I know someone exactly like that, he is a butler of a friend of mine and I will give you the glory of helping this amazing pirate captain".

"Usopp if you're going to ask for our help that's fine, but at least stop this whole thing you got going on" I said 'I can't let Usopp behave like this considering the amount of trouble we will get in soon if he won't stop I'll have to do something fast' I thought.

"What do you mean? I am the grate captain of a thousand ships it would be your honor to help me hahaha", "*sigh* lead the way" I said as Usopp led us towards Kaya's house. When we arrived I quickly knocked out the guards with conquerors haki as we stepped inside the house, when we arrived at the living room Kuro noticed us and tried to stop us but then Usopp opened his damn mouth and revealed his identity.

"Kuro I, master detective Usopp, discovered that you are the black cat pirates captain. Captain Kuro" Kuro was visibly shocked for a second before he calmed down and tried to disprove Usopp's claim. "And what evidence do you bring? I see nothing on you dirty savage", "o-oh well that's because it took some time but I finally found your old wanted poster let me just pull it out".

Usopp then started to slowly move his hand towards his back pocket to give Kuro time to be scared, and unbelievably, it worked. when Usopp's hand was about half way Kuro took Kaya hostage and demanded to leave "let me go or I will kill this girl" Kuro said expecting us to let him leave.

But suddenly I had an idea "Zoro block the back door" I yelled as I quickly positioned myself in front of the main entrance and punched the support beams of the other rooms near us to trap him in. "What are you doing?! he has kaya!" Usopp panicked and Kuro started to sweat, "Usopp we are pirates, and from what I gathered from you, you are some sort of grate captain no?. If you are, take out your slingshot and rescue Kaya yourself".

"L-Luffy what are you saying? I-I can s-shot I j-just want to give you guys some glory" said the panicked Usopp. "Luffy what are you doing?!" yelled Nami who was clearly confused by the situation, "you know what annoys me about you Usopp? we here have all been in life-threatening situations and obstacles, we earned the right to call ourselves pirates, yet here you are, not even experiencing a fistfight while you lie your way out of everything, and you dare to call yourself a pirate? then lets put your saying to the test! an enemy pirate sneaked on board and kidnapped your crewmate, Kaya, he is about to kill her and you are the only one onboard the ship, now answer with your actions, what do you do?".

"L-Luffy this went far enough, I-I won't lie again, s-so come and r-rescue Kaya" Usopp begged, noticing that I didn't move a finger Usopp pleaded with the others "Nami, Sanji, Zoro help me a-and I'll repay you s-somehow" Zoro looked at him with a somber expression while crossing his arms, Nami was about to jump in but Sanji gripped her hand tightly.

"Sanji what are you doing? let me help him!" but Sanji looked down and didn't budge. realizing that he was all alone Usopp redyed his slingshot, "L-let go of K-Kaya or I'll s-shot you" he said to Kuro while trying to remain calm.

Kuro tried to move but when he saw my glare he instinctively stood still, "Usopp the time to talk has ended, if you don't do something now Kuro will kidnap or kill Kaya, and if that happens she won't ever hear your crazy stories, you already have the stone in the slingshot, all you have to do is literally let go".

And with that Usopp shot the stone from his slingshot and hit Kuro in the eye, blinding him, in that second I stretched my hand as I punched Kuro towards Zoro who cut him in half with his swords. When that was over Usopp slowly went towards Kaya as they cried together about what just happened, "Nami go to the coast and tell me when the rest of the pirates arrive, I will take care of them" I whispered to Nami as to no disturb Usopp and Kaya.

After a couple of days the black cat pirates came but I used gear three to smash them along with their ship. After learning a little about what being a pirate really is I invited Usopp into our crew so he could become a real pirate and he agreed surprisingly easy, apparently, he realized his mistakes and wanted to come back to Kaya with some real stories instead of the made-up ones. And when I told Kaya that the ship we arrived in was temporary and we needed a main ship she gladly gave us the Going Meri.

"so Luffy, what now?" asked Usopp excited to go on a real adventure, "exited, are you? well, for now, you need to wait a couple of weeks since I need to go beat the shit out of a certain someone"
