Lena's going to freak out, thinking about what's really happening there. She didn't have the courage to ask him because she was afraid of her answer.
She just continued to be his slave. She cleans the house and cooks. That was what she had always done. The only good thing that happens to her in that house is that every time she wakes up in the morning, her laundry is done by Jordan.
"Lena, we're going back to New York now," Jordan said as they had breakfast one morning.
She blinked in the air. And the sound has a cracked voice; she can't speak.
"Lena, did you hear what I said?" There was irritation in his voice.
And this is the one that really wants to be irritated?! Argh! "Yes, I heard," she said flatly.
Jordan looked up at her. "What is your problem?"
So now he is asking that? Annoying!
