Nevaeh was still processing Loki's ultimatum. 'Even if you refuse to open the bi-frost for me,' Nevaeh said, 'I would just get Heimdall to do it for me.'

'If he did that, then he would be committing treason,' Loki informed her, 'giving me the absolute right to kill him as soon as I see him.'

Loki's lips curled up in a coy smile as another brilliant idea struck his genius mind. 'You do realise that it is mandatory to abide by The King's word, yes?' Loki asked, being his most polite-self. 'You can't possibly leave Asgard without committing treason, especially when The King has desperately asked for your presence. Commit treason once, shame on you. Commit treason twice, shame on me!' hissed Loki, clearly cherishing this new approach.

Nevaeh had one last card to play against Loki. She didn't want it to come this far, but he had left her with no other option. 'Loki, honey, if you don't allow me to go home, then I would tell on your mother.'

Loki froze in a moment of sheer panic, but regained his haughty disposition in no time. 'I beg your pardon?'

'You heard me. I would march to your mother at once and retell all the despicable acts you have committed with me!' she said seriously.

'Is that a threat?' Loki's eyebrows once again disappeared in his fringe.

'No! That is a promise! I would tell her that you are holding me against my will!' she shrilled.

Loki stomped his foot in anger. 'Why in the universe is it against your will? Did I not stay with you in your house?' bellowed Loki, wondering if there were some double standards here.

'Honestly, I brought you home only because you claimed to be an orphan and you were "badly hurt". If I knew that was all a lie, it would've been a completely different story!' spat Nevaeh.

Anger bubbled inside of Loki as soon as her words penetrated his ears. 'What are you implying?'

'That I cannot stay on Asgard while doing nothing just so that you could feel better about the time you wasted on Earth with me! If only you had asked me nicely, I would have given it a thought! In an alternate reality, I might've already agreed upon your invitation and went home to pack my bags by now! But, you – you are a drama queen, Loki! And when you were with me you had "no family" Perhaps, I should remind you that – I – still – have – one!' finished Nevaeh. She quietly looked at her twinkling, green arms and she felt as though she might pass out any minute. 'Now tell me, how do I turn myself back to normal?'

'We have to wait till the effect leaves your body'

'And how long will that take?'

'We will find out,' Loki shrugged.

'Loki, I am feeling as though my head will split into two, there are tiny glitter spots dancing in front of my eyes, and I don't want to look like this anymore. Isn't there any way you can fix this?' asked a tired and desperate Nevaeh.

Loki mischievously smiled to himself. 'The smoke has entered your body, no charm or spell can fix this. Now that you mention it, one slightly unorthodox approach might work. I could imbibe it out of you.'

'Imbibe?'

'Draw it out' Loki shrugged again.

'I know what the word means! But how?'

'I would have to suck it out of you'

'You mean like a vampire?' asked a wide-eyed Nevaeh.

'No. I mean like CPR,' Loki said slyly.

Nevaeh turned around to look at him in surprise. She cackled loudly, making Loki heavily indignant. 'Over my dead body!' she hissed

Loki stood there giving her a sharp, annoyed look. 'Please, tell me that was a challenge meant for me,' he hissed back.

'Well, that's settled then. It is staying in my body till the effect wears off,' declared Nevaeh, walking slowly towards his terrace like an old lady. As she rested her elbows on the edge once again, she watched four warriors walk briskly over the rainbow bridge and heading towards the bi-frost. One of them was a girl. They were walking with purpose mixed with a hint of anxiety as they glanced back and forth. Nevaeh wondered if they were going to have a word with Heimdall, since the bi-frost was closed.

Loki was feeling as though his head might burst into visible fury, right before he gut-wrenchingly heard a familiar thundering boom from across the bridge. Silver sparks shot into the sky lighting up the whole gold dome upon the ocean. The bi-frost began charging up.

'THAT – SON – OF – A – BI-FROST!' bellowed Loki at the top of his lungs, making her jump in alarm. Loki stretched out his arm, making Gungnir swoosh towards his hand and he caught it, briskly walking towards the edge to watch the bi-frost spinning. 'Treason! That is treason!' Loki fumed, before sharply turning around, grabbing Nevaeh by the arm and walking indignantly inside his room.

'Hey!' she complained, 'I didn't do anything!'

'You think I have been so horrible to you?' Loki snarled, halting in front of his bed and pushing her to sit down. 'Behold and watch how I, The King of Asgard, deal with anyone who dares commit treason under my very watch!' he declared at the top of his lungs. A silver screen, very similar to an incredibly clear hologram, appeared in front of Nevaeh's nose.

'Why can't I come with you?' she asked.

'I can't afford any distractions at the moment, and you, my darling, are nothing but one,' Loki marched off. The door swung itself open with him walking out of it.

'Don't you dare do anything to Heimdall! I swear to god, Loki, if you hurt him—'but he was gone before she could even finish her threat.

Nevaeh quickly glanced at the screen to watch Loki hurriedly walk down the stairs, with Gungnir in his hands. She knew that the four warriors had visited the bi-frost, and Heimdall had opened it for them, so all of them were in serious trouble...
