Living Carefree in the Cultivation World

Liao Ping is a transmigrator who has read web novels throughout his life while being an author, teacher, and doctor. He taught interns about what to do as a doctor when they start interning at his workplace while being an author who writes web novels at night. He is a lazy person when it comes to cultivation but loves to do the other hobbies that he couldn't do in his busy previous life. (I'll eventually come back to do this or I dropped it.)

Chapter 19-Teaching little Jingyi

Liao Ping returned to Bronze Dragon Peak and started cultivating his body for the night. When morning came, he started washing the plates, pots, utensils, and cooking equipment after feeding the animals around his hut. He had just finished cleaning the last of his equipment when Autumn started moving around in his robes and popped her head out. She looked around warily at her new surroundings and then saw some tall trees that could be used as her home for the time being. She eagerly ran over and started climbing the tree under the watch of Liao Ping.

Liao Ping puts everything into his storage treasure and headed toward the entrance of Bronze Dragon Peak after telling his master about the squirrel that started living in a tall tree next to his hut.

Master Hu Tu was quite perplexed when he was told by his eldest disciple that he had to make sure that the squirrel living by his hut had been fed, groomed, and played with. He asked his eldest disciple why should he take care of the squirrel and his eldest disciple replied, "If my junior sisters got their hands on her, they would take her out of here and possibly lose her," "They're perfectly capable of handling animals like the squirrel," "Have you ever asked them to take care of someone else's spiritual beast companion?" He didn't have a retort for that since he didn't want them to take care of someone else's spiritual beast companions especially if they had no experience before.

Liao Ping went through the sect and headed toward Fallen-star town to go teach little Jingyi about fun things. When he arrived at her home, he chatted with her parents for a while then started teaching her about things in a fun way. He would show pictures of the beasts, then pull out other pictures and spread them out until twelve pictures were laying on the floor. He then rearranged them at the speed of an adult then had her find the pictures that were mixed in with pictures of herbs. He would tell her the information of the picture depending on which one she had whether it was a herb or beast.

His life kept repeating with him teaching little Jingyi and focusing on his hobbies whilst running errands, teaching his juniors some fun things, and refining his alchemy skills. When he was chatting with Mr. Lui, Mr.Lui told him that Ms. Chang had said to him that she had opened her restaurant again and that towards her apprentice; he can either continue working until he can't learn anything from her anymore or he can help her get an apprentice for herself. He chose the first option and continued his life until he saw Liu Xuegang getting berated by his junior for messing up his chances with Kang Jia, a disciple of Auntie-Master Fu Shuren.

He heard, "You really think you're gonna get Senior Sister Jia just because you had skimmed through a mortal book called 'How to make any girl fall in love with you!' you must either have a lot of arrogance or courage to try that without any experience!!" berated Luo Hua who continued shooting off her mouth. Liu Xuegang kept a stoic face the whole time and when she realized that she was muddling in her Senior Brother's love life she turned as quiet as a mouse.

She thought to herself, 'N-No!!! What have I done!! He's gonna punish me with an impossible mission this time, I barely survived the last one" she looked up from her detrimental state and started admitting to her senior brother that she was wrong to yell, to babble about his love life, behind his back, etc. but all she heard was, "You're going to pick a mission that is impossible for yourself and you're gonna do it within a 10-year deadline," He said stoically, then continued heading toward Silver Dragon Peak, just as he was about to climb the stairs and head toward his hut he said, "If you think of getting help from master or someone else then-" he trailed off as he continued toward his hut.

She stood there wondering if she could survive this next mission but remembered that he said that she had a 10-year deadline. She was happy that he was lenient with her after shooting her mouth off but was tapped on the shoulder by someone. She turned around to see someone she didn't recognize until she heard his introduction about himself, "Hello there, I am Liao Ping, the senior brother of juniors Gao Shi and Ma Shu," he said. She looked him up and down for a bit until she remembered what those two said about him. 'Our Senior Brother is handsome, tall, courteous, and amazing!!" 'Yeah. He's amazing, but our Master says that he's weird, I disagree," He asked about the situation with her Senior Brother and replied like this, "oh, ah, so that's how it is' which confused her until he told her that he saw him leave the sect the previous week and that he couldn't have asked Sister Jia to be his dao companion. She was shocked at first but eventually was scared that he would let her die under her impossible mission.

Liao Ping looked at the weary girl who was freaking out about her impossible mission. He told her to drag him along since he wants to earn some high-grade spiritual stones for himself. She asked him, why but he replied with an aloof answer "I just wanna keep some for those two who are currently unable to have them," she was speechless but thought about it and it made sense since he wasn't using the sect's resources but his own resources that he either made/had/gotten.

She agreed readily and said that when she reached the Golden Core Realm, she would come and tell him then. She happily left, while Liao Ping headed toward the missions pavilion in search of the impossible missions that had specified cultivation realms required for the Golden Core Realm. He searched for quite a while until he found one after asking people and Elder Tyrant. It stated that a Golden Core cultivator had to find a herb in the Northern Tundra called the Frozen Heart. He considered the danger and confirmed that it would be hard but the chances of success were alright in his eyes so he went to Elder Tyrant to confirm the mission and told him who he was bringing. He then went back to Bronze Dragon Peak to start preparing pills that replenished the spiritual qi and practice the sword art that he exchanged for at the Dragon Pagoda.
