"Daisybug..."

Leif looked at Daisy, his expression was soft and gentle as he stared into her mesmerising honey brown eyes. There was a hint of affection when he uttered her name.

Daisy hummed in response. After wiping his face with her clothe, she grabbed a dry and clean animal skin clothe and handed it to him. "Here, use this to wipe your hair dry," she said and made him sit beside the fireplace, while she searched for a bowl in the kitchen to give him the ginger tea.

Instead of wiping his hair with the animal skin clothe, Leif used it to wrap it around his waist, covering his naked lower body. He was not used to wiping his hair dry after he got wet and he didn't find it necessary to do so. As he sat down, he quickly noticed that the strange scent from earlier was coming from the fireplace.

He hesitated for a moment before he called out to Daisy. "Daisybug.... can I ask you something?"

"Yeah, what is it?" Daisy absentmindedly responded while rummaging through the utensils that were of stone, wood and clay. It seemed like the inhabitants in this world were much much smarter and capable than she thought.

Leif didn't know why, but for some reason he started to feel strange. He looked at her for a long time, his dark eyes seemed to follow her every move and Daisy could feel his presence looming over her. Just when she thought the snake man would remain silent, she heard him say.

"Can I be your mate?"

Daisy was stunned by his question, did she hear him right? She abruptly turned around to look at him.

She clutched the stone bowl tightly and questioned him, "what do you mean?" Her voice was trembling with an unknown emotion. If he suddenly say that he was joking, she would make sure to break his head with the stone bowl in her hand.

Leif was prepared for some form of rejection as previous time, but the moment he saw her reaction, his heart skipped a beat. He smiled a bit as he realized what had happened. 'She likes me... ' his thought excitedly.

"Will you... Be my mate?" He repeated his question in a soft and calm tone, his eyes still locked into hers. "I want to be your mate," He let out a light chuckle after his words. "Can I?"

His stare was intense and intimidating, making Daisy feel flustered and delirious with excitement. She thought he would never like someone as bland as her but he actually did!!

Are men taste in this world so bad?

She inwardly slapped herself for her depressing thoughts.

Actually, Daisy was not as bland as she considered herself to be. She was 5'7 tall with long and slender legs, she had a small waist that could be easily held by a single hand and big boobs with a well shaped bottom that could easily attract people's gaze.

The blush on her face had spread up to her nose and her pupils were shaking with anticipation as she stared at him.

Seeing how nervous and flustered she looked, Leif got up from his place, moved to her side and gently took her hands. "Yes, I do want you to be my mate." He affectionately smiled at her, "so what do you say, daisybug?"

His cheeks were turning red and his body heat up by the second as his ears flushed and his heart pounded rapidly. Only he knew how nervous and eager he was feeling right now.

Daisy was unable to look him in the eyes as she looked down, trying to hide her blushing face. She bit the bottom of her lip for a few moment to get herself under control, before finally saying the following.

"Y-Yes..." She blushed a little and tilted her head slightly, her eyes sparkling with joy as she looked up at him, "I would love to be your mate."

She would be a fool to reject someone as handsome as Leif.

As soon as she agreed, Leif wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into a tight hug with his muscular arms, squeezing her close to his chest. "Good....good...."

His voice trembled as he tried to control his overwhelming emotions.

She agreed! The little female finally agreed to be his mate! He finally got a mate! He couldn't believe what had happened and for a second, he thought he was dreaming.

He slowly took his arms away from her and held her hands, "then it's settled, you have declared to be my mate from now on, so you can't go back on your words." He voice was serious as he squeezed her hand.

Daisy giggled and nodded her head. She had no plans to let go of this handsome snake man.

"I-I'm sorry if I seemed cold, distant... or harsh before, daisybug....I really like you.." Leif's hands were trembling as he confessed his affection to a female for the first time in his life.

The emotion was too much to handle. He brought her hands to his lips and kissed them reverently.

"I'll try my best to always keep you happy and safe," his voice was full of affection and infinite happiness, even though he tried so hard to make it sound casual and normal.

Daisy's heart skipped a beat as she heard his words. She could feel his hot lips on her skin as he kissed her hands, and she was filled with an explosion of emotion.

She never anticipated that Leif liked her so much and she was completely overwhelmed by his affection towards her.

'I didn't know he liked me so much...' She sighed, feeling like a dummy for not noticing his growing affection of her. 'Shouldn't I reciprocate his feelings atleast,' she mused to herself.

She held his arms and tiptoe to place a kiss on his forehead. However, since she couldn't even reach his chin with tiptoeing, she had no other choice but to place a kiss near his chest.

Leif gently stroked her hair before smiling warmly at her action. His pupils slowly started to darken as his emotions started to stir... before he pull her into a tighter embrace.

He liked the way she looked at him with those enchanting eyes, as if he was her entire world. And he liked how soft and warm her body felt in his arms as well. It made him want to hold her like this forever...

The way he held her in his arms made Daisy feel extremely safe and secure. So she let him hug her to his heart's content.

Suddenly, she felt a strange sensation against her stomach, as if a hard object was poking her. She blinked a few times, looking up at Leif before looking down, her cheeks flushing a bright red as she did.
