Who is she?

Betty was alone in her hospital room, the plaster on her leg make it extremely difficult for her to move about. It is almost two weeks since the incident, she did not see Bob nor any of his family member only the maids that come once in a while.

She rely in the nurses to feed and care for her because whoever the maid comes they are always in a hurry to leave as if she has some contagious diseases or something. She has made up her mind to let them gloat for now but once she leaves this place back to the house she will make their lives a living hell before she sack all of them.

One afternoon after waking up from her nap , she felt so bored in her room and plead with one of the nurse to take her out side for fresh air. " You have to wait for me then, I will just get the wheelchair for you." the nurse exit the room and came back after five minutes.

" Here you go. where do you what to go first?"

" Let me just look around this floor first then you can take me to the garden after."

Just on the same floor the third room away from her own room, as they moved closer they heard the laughter coming from inside. As if affected with it she also smile before she asked the nurse who is the person inside . " Oh! She is a new mother, she gave birth to a boy two weeks ago."

" Oh! " was all she could say, unconsciously she touched her stomach too.

Just as she wanted to ask another question from the nurse the door of the room was pushed open to reveal Mr and Mrs Kelly with Bob behind them. She look at and her eyes met with them, the smile on their face froze they don't know what to do. They have completely forgotten that she was also admit here.

Mrs Kelly look at her with guilty but their is nothing she can do since she now has something better . Call her names she didn't care, as far as she satisfy herself she careless about others.

Betty met their eyes she did not know what they are doing here but. she remember what the nurse as said about a new mother, she guess they might be here for visit " Mother! father! what are you doing here?" She asked as with a small smile. She felt pain in her heart looking at the smiles on their faces , She has not forgotten how they both embarrassed her and looking at them now visiting someone without bother checking on her somehow make her disappointed in them even more. Mr Kelly was the first to come out of his shocked.

" My dear, we are just going to your room to check on you. How are you feeling now? " Betty looked at them with a raised brow as if saying ' Don't give me that shit!' but she his her doubt but say something instead " Really?Bob.....you are here also?" She asked with a dejected smile, she wonder what she has done to be treated this way.

" How are..." As he open his mouth to say something someone talk from inside the room that crumble Betty's world " Bob can you please call one of the nurse to come and take our baby away he is asleep now."

Bob did not know how to reply not that he care but he was still guilty looking at Betty like this since it was his fault in the first place. She broke a leg and list a child too. " OK , I will inform them now. "

Betty looked at him not really understanding what she heard. " Bob ? who is inside? and why is she saying ' our 'baby you are here to visit her right? " She asked still trying to convince herself.

" Yeah, I .....I...came to visit." He blurt it out finally after stutteringly . Betty looked at him with a frown who will believe that answer even a kid will find it hard to believe that.

" father? mother? Bob? what are you all still doing here? " Alice asked placing her hand on Bob's shoulder. Betty eyes nearly fall out of their socket looking at the intimacy displayed in front of her. She wanted to stand up but the nurse who has being standing awkward behind her keep pushing her down to her seat.

" Bob? who is she? why did she address them as mother , father?" She point at his parent. " why is she holding you like that?". She asked all the questions in a roll.

Alice just look at her like a clown before turning to Mr and Mrs Kelly who stand uncomfortably at the side like a spectator.

" Am asking you a question Bob!" She yell on top of her lungs " Who is she ?" She point at Alice again.

" Can't you talk? cat got your tongue? "

" Hey!hey! hold it! Stop screaming like a lunatic woman don't wake my baby. If you have a problem with your or sorry my husband wait till he is ready to answers you." Alice turn around with hiss not after glaring at Bob for not saying anything.

Betty was dumbfounded to be talk to like that,now that she looked at the lady very well she was her husband assistant, the one she caught making out with him. And she even used the word 'my husband' when talking about him.

" What is going on here Bob? what is she talking about? Betty asked again , she can not wrap her head around what is going on at all. " Go back to your room , i will come and meet you?

" Bob come back here! i demand an explanation now. She rushed forward in her wheel chair but the door was shut in her face before she enter leaving her and the nurse all alone in the hallway. She shout , scream and yell but no one pay heed to her.

" Ma'am stop crying, let's go away from this place." The nurse try to lift her up into the wheel chair she roughly push the nurse away " You knew about it right? that was why you brought me here. You knew he is my husband right but you want me to witness this, right?"

The nurse looked at her with open mouth " but....but...you asked me to take you round. " She finally said after founding her voice.

" Just go away! go away. I don't want anybody to take me around, just go. " The nurse did not mind her and moved to help her up again but a slap landed on her right cheek, the nurse nearly tumble from the impact, her face redden instantly. " I said go away! " The nurse did not say anything this time around but turn around and leave her alone on the cold floor.
