Light my way ( Httyd Fanfiction )

••• ` `Making me spy on your enemies isn't a small deed.´ ´ ••• ` `Huh. I guess being short does come in handy sometimes.´ ´ ••• ` `That you don't hurt my Heather or brother Hiccup and his friends.´ ´ ••• ` `See, when you went for his Traitor you fell for the trap. Similarly, when a dragon ends up entering the Death song's territory, they are found a fool. So no matter how you look at the situation... A trap is a trap. And a Fool is a Fool.´ ´ ••• Imora Grimborn was offered a task; a virtually absurd one. With a heart too soft to hurt a dragon yet a mind too dedicated to fail, she's trapped on each side, not fully knowing all the secrets with the one she originally sided with. '2.7'Surrounded by idiots.

My heart stopped as the light blinded my eyes. I felt the heat on my skin, but I never felt the hit of it. I hissed as my vision darkened and I swung my hands defensively in front of me.

A blood chilling roar echoed throughout my thoughts. A deafening ringing continued after it. I felt the rubbing of smooth skin on the back of my legs, making me jump in fright. Growls and shouts was heard next as my eyes started moving frantically to see anything. After a few seconds, my vision was restored but my blood ran cold.

The familiar white dragon stood in front of me( back faced to me) , wings outstretched, claws extended and teeth showing before her mouth lit up. My feet shook in shock as my brain tried to process what's happening. Before I could say anything I heard their panicked shouts.

" What is it doing?"

" I don't know."

" Stay back! Stay back I say! You are no match for the fearsome Nut family!"

" Tuffnut! You're making it worse!"

" Fishlegs let him-"

" Everybody calm down!" Hiccup shouted. Silence followed except the occasional growling of Destiny.

" We can't risk upsetting it. " He ordered. Slowly, I poke my head out of the cover Destiny's wings." Is it hers?" Dagger asked

" Of course not! She probably brainwashed the poor thing." Heather answered. Toothless along with Astrid stared at Destiny while she turned her head to face me.

" What.. What are you doing here?" I asked. She simply licked my head and turned back around, growling as she did so.

I opened my mouth trying to come up with some sort of confirmation of some sort but nothing came out. " Is that dragons? I thought yer locked them up! Go get them you useless pile of rats!" Ryker shouted in the distance. For the second time today my blood ran cold. " Destiny, go! Go! GO!" I yelled, panicking for the both of us. Without thinking it through, I jumped onto her shoulders and lightly kicked her.

She immediately flew off, flying towards the sky. I felt as if someone dumped a bucket of ice on me the higher she flew. My hands clutched her nape, scared to death to fall.

At last, we reached the clouds, her body blending in as if she herself was made out of it. After a few moments, I could not only sense but hear that we weren't alone anymore.

"Did we lose them?"

" I think so. Stay on your gaurd, just incase we run into another problem."

" Hiccup! Look! There she is!" Astrid yelled, pointing over to me.

Fantastic. Didn't even bother to hide! Idiot! Destiny rotated, but everytime she did, they blocked our way. Rappid wing clapping sounded behind us - Gronckle. Above us - Heather. One by one, we were surrounded. Destiny growled but Toothless only whimpered. ' They saw Destiny? Could that be why they were on my Island? Destiny was following me?'

" I suggest you get off that dragon now!" Fishlegs yelled. I was taken aback about his tone, he wasn't usually the one to scream. " And then what? Fall to my death?" I asked mockingly, while looking for possible gaps.

" As if any of us will care." Heather spat.

The Gronckle behind me confused me. Fishlegs was to my right. They got another one? I turned around, seeing Dagger silently watching. I got an idea.

" What do you want?" I asked, glaring with a distaste in my mouth." Give us the dragon." Snotlout said rather bored. " Ha! You sound like my brother." I spat.

" Just give us the dragon and no one will get hurt." Hiccup warned, holding his hands up in surrender. Now or never.

" That's rich coming from you. If I am not mistaken, I made a deal with your friend over here that I'm the one that shouldn't hurt you."

" What?" He replied immediately, leaning forward in confusion.

I smirked, slowly turning around to see Dagger staring at the clouds below us." You didn't tell your friends? Nows your chance, Buddy." I answered, my voice laced with interest.

" Dagur? What did you do?" Heather asked, glaring at him sideways. " Dagur, do you know anything about... This?" Hiccup inquired, watching him closely. Slowly, he nodded and then quickly tried to explain when multiple gasps followed. " Guys, I can-"

" You! How dare you betray us? We trusted you! Shame on you, Dagur. Shame. On. You!" Ruffnut declared, pointing her fingers at him.

" Ruffnut, calm down." Hiccup tried, but now everyone was yelling and arguing. Exactly according to plan. My eyes scanned for a gap that both of us could go through. Snotlout moved to the left as Tuffnut suddenly threw salt at him, angering him in the process.

My heart took a leap as I quickly pointed to the gap. Almost immediately, she dived not giving me a chance to properly hold her.

My body lifted into the air as she dived, making me silently panick as she did so. I was able to hear a faint ' She's getting away!' in the distance.

I heard Toothless diving loudly, as Destiny closed her wings completely. And just when I thought I had a grip on her neck, my hand slipped.

I was pulled back with the force of the wind, closing my eyes in pain. I felt a few daggers sliding out of my pockets the faster I got pulled up. Although the distance between me and Destiny was two Nadder's lengths apart, I couldn't help but try to grab any part of her even though I couldn't see. But she was going too fast.

At last, I felt a hand wrap around my waist pulling me into a rather hard chest.

' Oh boy...'
