Chapter-7: Unexpected (2)

'My vision's getting blurry,what happen?...a sword?How?An Assassin?I couldn't sense them at all'

As the knight fell down,Eli tried to ran towards her,but then she saw the person who stabbed her.

He was wearing a black dress covering his face.They were all silent;then Stephen cast a spell and tried to shoot it upwards to signal other knights.But then another person came out from the woods and stopped him,Luke quickly enhancing his body tried to hit him but another one came out and took of hold him.

Around twelve assassins came out and surround them.After they all came out another one dressed differently came out,he was wearing a badge on his arm.Eli saw his badge and immediately recognised it.

"These guys.... they're from the Serpent clan"

Alex looked at them and asked,"So....are they one of the evil clans"

"Yeah"

The guy with the badge then came forward.

"Hmm that was an interesting fight,but unfortunately we had to stop it before the other knights get suspicious"

"Now milady,lets not make this hard and quietly follow our orders."

Alex immediately stand in front of Eli and tightly hold on to his sword.

"Hahahaha trying to play hero kid,not only are you out numbered,but your strength doesn't even come close to us"

Alex was scared but he doesn't want to back down,he knew they will kill them either way so it would be best to buy time and hope the other knights found them.

"Make your choice Miss.Willsworth,you either follow us quietly or we will force you and kill your friends."

Eli was frightened,she saw one of her knights die right in front of her eyes,she couldn't utter a single words.She was just frozen from fear.

The guy with the badge started getting annoyed and with a frown he signals one of the assassin to take care of Alex.

Just as he was about to stab him,Alex concentrates all his mana to lighten up his body,he then dodged the attack and quickly strengthen himself.He swing his sword aiming for the assassin's neck,he grazed his neck.The assassin then turn back and swung his blade,Alex blocked the attack,they then started exchanging blows.

Luke still being held by one of the assassin started enhancing his body,after using all his mana he was emitting a white aura.Stephen did the same and emitted red aura.

The assassins by their side both notice and tried to immediately knock them out.But they were much stronger than they expected.Luke grabbed the one who was holding him and punch his stomach as hard as he can,the assassin vomitted blood.Stephen block the attack from the assassin and gave him a hard side kick.

Both the assassin were barely able to stand,they then enhance their body and started fighting them back.

As Alex was fighting with the same guy another assassin jumped in and tried to strike him from behind,Alex quickly turned around and dodge the attack,he let go of his sword and punched his face as hard as he can.The assassin fell to the ground instantly,the other one was already at his back,his sword was still in the air;he then quickly grabbed it still enhancing his agility swung his sword horizontally,the assassin barely blocked the attack with his sword,but then Alex strengthen himself and exert more force slicing through the knife he used for blocking.

The assassin jumped back holding his mouth,his face was cut horizontally,but the wound wasn't deep.Alex then hold his sword with both his hand.

Stephen used his short sword to blocked the blows coming from the assassin,the assassin then quickly creates a magic circle,it was a wind circle and before he could chant,Stephen was also creating a magic circle.

"Art of Fire..."Fire gather around a spherical orb in front of the circle.

"INCINERATE!!"

"Art of the Winds.....Wind.."Before the assassin finished chanting he got pushed by someone.He quickly looked back,it was the other assassin fighting Luke,he was knocked back with a huge boulder created by Luke.

Both of them stared each other and just when they were about to get ready to fight back, Stephen's magic already reached them.

A huge wall of fire coming in from Stephen's circle,they blocked themselves using mana shield but because it was too late and their mana shield wasn't complete,it quickly broke and burns them.

While Stephen was shooting the flames,three assassins jumped on him,he immediately stop his spell and dodge two of the attacks,but the third manage to hit him on his back.He fell down,the assassins quickly took care of the two that got burned on their arms and part of their bodies.

Alex still exchanging blows with the assassin whose mouth he severed.Two more jumped in,it was now three verses one,Alex knew they could never win this fight.He hold on to his sword enhancing all his body with every little bit of mana he have,then he felt a hand on his back,he quickly looked back and saw Eli.

"I'm sorry...i can't really do much but I'll embedded you with as much holy light as possible."

Alex then felt a huge wave of mana inside him,much greater than what he had before.

"Thanks...just sit back and try to stay safe"

'My body feels so light and my senses are heightened too...maybe with this we can beat them...But the guy with the badge, he's gonna be a problem'

The assassins all jumped at him,Alex dodge two of them and blocked one,he pushed him back and tried to land a hit,but the other two rushed towards him.One of them manage to slash his back,he lose his balance and the other one immediately stab him on his shoulder.

He took hold of the sword in his shoulder and concentrates all his mana and the additional mana he got from Eli in both of his arms.The assassin tried to pull his sword but to his surprise Alex was now much stronger than before,he looked up and saw that his hands and upto his elbow were embedded with dark armour,his eyes emitting purple light.

"This kid.....was he hiding his strength..or did he achieve True Enhancement in the midst of the fight."

Alex hold onto the sword with his left arm and punched him, immediately knocking him out.One of the assassins he pushed away rushed towards him and swing his sword,Alex dodged and slashed him in his stomach.The assassin was cut in half.

Surprised by his sudden strengthening,the three assassins that were left immediately rushed in,they were dodging and blocking attacks.

Stephen was bleeding heavily from his back,one of the assassin swung his sword trying to kill him,but just as his sword was about to reach him,stones suddenly erupt from the ground.

"Art of the Earth.....Dome!!"Luke cast a spell creating a dome covering Stephen.

The three assassin immediately rushed towards Luke,just as he was about to enhance himself,he suddenly felt an aura behind him.It was the guy with the badge,he hold Luke's head and pushed him to the ground.Luke tried to get up but he was too strong.

Alex while fighting the assassins saw Luke getting crushed,he dodge the attack coming from both his front and back,but it was too much.He got stabbed in his back and chest.One of the assassin slowly walks towards him,and just as he was about to make a vertical slash,Eli stabbed him on his side.

Since piercing and stabbing was her main attacks,she pierced through his armour and enhancement easily.As she was pulling her sword out,the assassin immediately fall and stayed motionless.

Stephen was still inside the dome,the assassins were slowly breaking it.He couldn't do anything,if he gets out they would just easily kill him,but he can't stay in there forever either.

He made up his mind and decided to create a magic circle.He poured all his mana into it and slowly separate the circle,this was gonna be his final attempt,his last move.As the assassins destroyed the dome, Stephen quickly jumped out,pointing his circles at them.

"Art of Firee....!!!!.... OUTBURST!!!!!!"

He was levitating from the flames he shot out from the two circles,his eyes looked like it was burning.They were caught off-guard and had no time to defend themselves.

After depleting his mana,he fell down and fell unconscious immediately.

"Stephen!!!!"Alex cried out still being impaled,there was not time to worry about mana depletion anymore.He immediately enhance his whole arms and grab the sword that stab him,he looked at the assassin dead in the eye and took out the sword.

He punched the assassin as hard as he can,he looked back and the other assassin was already rushing towards him,his sword almost reached him,but....he dodged.

"What??at such short distance"the assassin was shocked.

Alex then grab hold of his sword and cut him down immediately.His heart began to burn again,but he didn't have time to care for it.He immediately rushed towards the assassin with the badge,the the assassin took out his sword and swing it towards Alex.

He was too fast to dodge,so Alex just unconsciously blocked.To his surprise he wasn't able to cut through his black armour,he was feeling really confident now.He tried to land a hit but the assassin kept dodging.

The assassin with the badge Enhance his sword and strike as hard as he can.Alex dodged and tried to grab him but the assassin was too fast.Alex felt like he could do more, use true enhancement even on his legs.

He looked at Eli who was still frightened by all the blood over her,he ran to her side as fast as he can.

"Miss!!!!Please lend me more of your strength,even just a little will be enough!!"

Eli tried to compose herself and make her Light travel towards Alex.But just as Alex received the light,the burning in his heart increases,it was now too much.He fell down on his knees holding his chest and he looked up.

The assassin with the badge was already in front of him,he signals his eyes towards Alex's back and there,three more assassins with the same badge came out.

"Whats wrong Gant..... can't even take care of four kids."One of them said.

They looked around and saw all the assassins laying on the ground,some bodies were cut in half,some their head smashed.

'Are these...done by these kids?But how, they should barely know how to enhance themselves.'

"These 'kids' are capable of using true enhancement;The report said these pathetic assassins would be enough,but as you can see,i had to intervene"

One of them went and capture Eli.Gant,the first assassin with the badge went towards Alex.He was still holding his chest,his vision was getting blurry.The assassin hold him in his hair.

"The lord would be pleased to have a strong warrior like you"He looked at Luke and Stephen,"They too could be a fine warrior under our reign;but the lord wishes only for the girl".

The assassin raised his sword;but just as he was about to strike Alex,he sensed an immense aura full of rage and bloodlust.

He turned his back;and there,a Royal Knight standing there looking at them with a fierce eyes.And from every corners came out Grand Knights that served the Willsworth family.Seventeen in total.

Tobias levitating above them,was furious.All his students were on the ground,blood covering them.He was ready to obliterate all the assassins.
