Wait

It went on like that throughout the night until I was off. He waited for me and kept ordering.

"Finally, a break from all of that coffee. I feel like I could dance with the caffeine in my system," he laughed.

"Oh really? Why don't we do just that then? You waited so long for me we might as well have a little fun," I flirted, pressing my finger on his chest.

He put his hands up, "That sounds wonderful, but why do I feel like it's a threat?"

"Because you'll learn how terrible of a dancer I am and wish you hadn't met me."

"Woah-oh-oh you picked the wrong fight with a stubborn one, my dear."

I took back my finger and crossed my arms, "What's that supposed to mean?"

"A lot more than ya think, princess."

"Charming," I replied sarcastically.

We went to my appartment and my roommate wasn't home. I turned on some music and we started dancing to the bright tunes. He laughed at me and my terrible moves while I snapped back at him for his. Then, a slower song came on.

"Would you care for a dance, princess?" he asked with a flirtatious smirk.

"Fine, but you'll owe me," I replied.

"What? How?" he asked with a smirk.

"Because you will. Now if you want to dance with me, you might as well do it now. The song will be over before we know it," I smiled.

He came closer. He took my hand and put his other hand on my waist. I corrected him and put both of his hands on my waist while I put my hands on his shoulders and around the back of his neck. It was dark outside and the stars of the city lights shined through our window. We started slowly spinning to the music. He gazed into my eyes as I gazed into his. I pulled him closer and closed my eyes. Suddenly, his phone rang. Just as I put my head on his chest, his phone rang and vibrated.

"Sorry, I need to take this. It's from my roommate," he sighed and slumped over. "What is it now?" he answered the phone.

He wasn't on speaker, but I could faintly hear a voice. "Dude, who was that chick you were with?" the other voice laughed.

"A friend, now can you leave my personal life out of yours?"

"Nah man! You said you weren't interested in dating anyone. What's with the change?" the roommate teased.

"Look, man, it's personal. I'll explain later. I gotta go. See ya," he insisted.

"Tomorrow?" the roommate snickered.

He blushed. I felt my face blushing too. I looked away from him just as he looked at me.

"Dude, seriously? Why did I choose you as my best friend?" he sighed.

"Awe co-"

"BYE!" he forcibly hung up the phone. "Sorry about that. Robert can be a little," he paused, "pushy."

"No, it's fine," I tried to calm him. "Oh! I can't beleive I never got your name."

"It's Clay. You?" he asked.

"I'm," I hesitated, "Mina. My name is Mina."

"That's," he paused again, "a nice name."

"Sorry, but you have to go. This is just too weird for me,"I tried not to hurt his feelings, but he probabaly took it the wrong way anyway.

"Okay, I'll go now. Maybe I'll see you again?" he asked.

"Sorry, but I don't think that will be possible. We shouldn't have done this in the first place."

"I-I just... I'm sorry," Clay apologized with a dissapointed face.

"I can't do this. It's not just you."

"Isn't that saying supposed to go-"

"I can't say it isn't you because it is partially you," I interrupted. "I'm sorry."

I opened the door to let him out, but as soon as I did, Charlie stood in the doorway, confused and ready to tease me at any second.
