Chapter 6

"Are you free today?" I asked on the phone.

"Of course why?" Val answered on the other line.

"We all just have a family date here at home, and I would like to invite you."

"I would love to! Just send me the address." Val said.

"Alright, I'll just text you. Just text me when you're at the gate." I said and help with the preparation.

I'm here in front.

I quickly went to the gate and fixed myself before I opened it.

"Hi!" She happily greeted me while smiling.

She was wearing a red floral dress, and a red headband partnered with her black doll shoes. She looks pretty, I just noticed her beautiful dark-brown eyes.

"Travis! You've got nothing on yourself." She said with a laugh and entered.

"Oh, sorry sorry, we're about to go in and Mama is waiting there too." I said.

"Your house is big." She said in amazement as he looked around the living room. She followed me to the dining table. My older siblings were also there so we were complete.

"Mom, Dad, Valentina, my friend." I introduced Val to them.

I can see the shock in their eyes.

"Hello! Good afternoon ma'am and sir." Val greeted and bowed slightly.

"Hello, sit down." Mom said with a smile.

Val and Mom are next to me now.

"You didn't say it was a girl." MOM looked at me teasingly.

"Mom!" I screamed softly here.

"So, Valentina. You and Travis know each other for how many months?" Dad started.

"First sem, sir." Val smiled ay Dad.

"She's pretty." Mom teased me.

"Is Travis' good?" Trent asked.

"Slightly," She jokingly said, she looked at me and gave peace sign. I'm always good at her.

They didn't ask anymore and ate too, they all just talked while I was here eating and it was awkward.

I don't even know why I feel different.

I peeked out the window and saw Calista looking at us.

Why can't she come in? After all, she can't eat either because she doesn't eat what we eat.

"Is Travis courting you?" I was shocked and almost choke at my food when Mom asked that question.

"Mom!" Why on earth? She don't need to ask that question

"Oh, no ma'am." Val answered shyly.

"You're in too much of a hurry, let them study first. They're just friends." Daddy said to Mom but the looks were still teasing. Oh, Come on!

"Are you with your parents? We can also set up a lunch or dinner to meet them." Mom said.

"Ahh, they're not here. They're in Manila." Val smiled at Mom while wiping her mouth.

"Is that so. So, you're here alone? You don't have any relatives or anything with you?" Daddy asked.

"Yes sir, but there are some left in our resources that I can still live with and use for studying." She said and smiled at Daddy. I like her smile, she always smiles.

"I guess, see you around? When are you free again? Travis! Invite Val again next time." Mom said.

"Thank you for the lunch ma'am and for the conversation!" Val said happily and bowed a little.

"You can call me Aunt Eris." Mama smiled at Val.

"Understood Aunt Eris," Val waved at them.

"Sorry, my family has a lot of questions." I said.

"That's okay, it's fun that you all get close. But I didn't notice that your one brother spoke, is he really quiet?" Val said.

"Yes, that's true, but he's also kind." I answered.

"I didn't say no, I just said he seemed quiet." She said laughing.

"I'm okay here." we stopped again at the corner.

"Okay take care!" I'll let you know.

"See you tomorrow!" She smiled at me before she walked away.

Even though today was a bit weird and awkward for me, I'm still happy because I also had a friend who was brought home.

When I got home, I went up to my room and took a shower.

"You didn't say Val was coming." I was surprised when Calista suddenly appeared, I almost dropped the laptop I was holding.

"Jeez! Stop doing that!" I scream at her.

"Do what?" She wondered.

"That! You're freaking me out!" I shouted at her, she laughs while holding her tummy. What a word.

"Are you still not used to it?" She asked with a laugh.

"Do I look like I'm used to it?" I raised my left eyebrow at her.

"Get some rest, there's school again tomorrow. You're a scaredy cat!" She said and laughed loudly again.

"I'm not a scaredy cat!" I shouted back before she want out of my room by going out of the window.

After that day, we went together to the school.

"Why are we still passing through here?" Calista asked me.

"Maybe Johnny will still be waiting for us at the gate."

"There are guards." She complaint. She is already flying, she has many complaints.

"Even so, we don't know what he can do to us." I told her.

"Only you! He can't see me" She said and continued walking

"Hi!" I was shock when Val appeared.

"Why do you guys always surprise me!?" I yelled at them. I screamed so loudly that the students looked in the hallway.

Johnny's not present, I was wondering what did Calista do to him?

That's better than being bullied and something else happening. We still haven't passed the gate.

I was about to go home when three men blocked my path.

"Hello, Green-Weirdo." A man said with a smirk.
