Geralt's misfortune

Looking at those two talking, Kakashi didn't know what Yennefer was thinking.

She was acting all enigmatic, not even he could understand what was going on in her head at that moment.

But he was sure of one thing.

Yennefer did not have good intentions when she decided to come and carry out Dandelion's treatment, at the house of her former admirer Chireadan.

Kakashi knew that she didn't like the elf, at least that was what Yennefer showed while she was in his presence.

For this reason, her choice to come to the house of a person she clearly hates does not seem to fit with Yennefer's personality.

She had to have some ulterior motive for her choice, and since Yennefer decided not to tell him.

He believed that this reason would be something he would disapprove of or interfere with.

That's why Kakashi decided to pay attention to what she was going to do.

"It's been an hour since she went up to that room."

He watched Chireadan, looking at the mug on the table.

"I'm starting to worry."

"Is the situation with Dandelion's throat really that serious?"

"Don't you think we should go up and see what's going on?"

He spoke while looking questioningly at Geralt.

"She made it pretty clear that she wouldn't tolerate it if I did that."

Geralt replied, drinking the last sip of herbal tea, while making a face.

Geralt appreciated the elves who lived in cities, not only for their intelligence and discretion, but also for their sense of humor.

However, he could not understand, much less share, their tastes in food and drink.

"I don't want to disturb you, Chireadan."

"Spells take time, and I won't bother waiting for more than a day if that's what it takes."

"As long as Dandelion gets well, how long it takes doesn't matter to me."

Chireadan looked around and left her vision for a few seconds, on Kakashi who had his back leaning against the wall.

It was well known in the city that wherever Yennefer went he would be with her, always by her side.

"To be honest I must admit that I didn't expect you to bring Yennefer here."

"She does not belong to the category of people, who would try to help others."

"Other people's problems don't seem to bother her, and they certainly don't keep her up at night."

"In other words, I never knew of a single case in which she selflessly provided help."

While speaking, Chireadan watched Kakashi and wanted to see what reaction he would show when he spoke badly about Yennefer.

"I'm very curious to know what her interest is, in helping you and Dandelion."

"Aren't you exaggerating?"

Geralt asked doubtfully, Yennefer hadn't given him that kind of impression.

"She didn't give me such a negative impression. I admit that she likes to demonstrate a certain amount of superiority."

"But if we compare her to the arrogant bunch of other sorceresses, she is the embodiment of charm and generosity."

It was Chireadan's turn to smile, saying

"Be careful, Geralt. You are not the first to judge her like that, without realizing that her charm and her beauty are weapons."

"Weapons that she uses with mastery and without scruples."

"That, of course, does not detract from the fact that she is an extraordinarily beautiful woman."

"I don't think you can deny that fact, can you?"

Geralt gave the elf a curious look. For the second time he thought he saw a blush on his face.

That startled him much more than his words.

Pureblood elves were not usually attracted to human women, even the most beautiful ones.

"Chireadan, I cannot deny that fact and I thank you for the warning."

"But in this case it is solely and exclusively about Dandelion."

"He suffered beside me, in my presence. I couldn't save him and I didn't know how to help him."

"I would be willing to sit with my bare ass on a scorpion if someone assured me it would save him."

"And that's why you have to be careful."

The elf smiled mysteriously.

"Because Yennefer knows this and she will take advantage of that knowledge."

"Don't trust her, Geralt. She's dangerous."

Hearing that conversation between the two, Kakashi snorted.

He wasn't interested in what these two thought of Yennefer, to him, she wasn't that kind of person.

However, the noise he made did not escape the sensitive ears of the two who were present.

"I see that you disagree with what I said, how about giving us your point of view on Yennefer."

Kakashi wasn't too interested in getting involved in their conversation.

But he had nothing better to do, so it wouldn't hurt to talk to them.

"You have a superficial view of my Yen."

"Although I admit that every sorceress I interacted with had some sort of arrogance, and they weren't the easiest women to interact with."

"However, they all have their personalities and differences."

"For example the Witcher who is with us."

Kakashi spoke while pointing at Geralt.

"I believe he is not one of the best companies."

"I can see in his little gestures and expressions that he's been through a lot of shit."

"That's why it's difficult to gain their trust and affection."

"But for those who can get close to him, he will do anything to keep them safe and help them."

"Yen, you're not much different from Geralt in that regard."

"But I believe it's much more difficult to get close to her."

Chireadan was not happy with that vague answer.

Because he did everything he could to win her heart, but he never managed to get closer to her.

Until recently he believed that Yennefer did not have human feelings.

He convinced himself of this to protect himself and not suffer so much from her rejection.

However, his conviction was destroyed when he saw Yennefer interacting with Kakashi.

When she was with Kakashi, Yennefer smiled wholeheartedly, her arrogant and arrogant attitude disappearing in front of him.

She became another person when she was in his presence, seeing that envy was born in Chireadan's heart.

Chireadan wanted her to give him that beautiful smile, Chireadan wanted her to behave that way around her.

However everything he tried was ineffective.

But Kakashi got everything he wanted with ease.

In less than two years, Kakashi completely took over Yennefer's heart. Chireadan felt that he had nothing to do to overcome that wall.

It seemed like it would be impossible to get at least a little of that space.

Chireadan felt he could try hard for the rest of his life, but it wouldn't be enough for Yennefer.

Even though he never expected to be jealous of a human, Chireadan had to admit that he was very jealous of Kakashi.

He wanted to get what Kakashi had.

If the other elves knew about his jealousy of a human, he would be the laughingstock of everyone.

"You're just a kid, you don't know anything yet."

"Yennefer is just using you, she doesn't really care about you."

"When you lose your usefulness to the sorceress, she will discard you."

Realizing that his words were driven by jealousy, Kakashi felt a little sorry for the elf.

"Her words of hers don't affect me, try these tactics with someone else, no one knows Yen better than me."

"An outsider would never understand the feelings we share."

"I trust her with my life, Yen would never betray me, she's not using me for anything."

"Contrary to what you think, her greed is not for gold or reputation."

Kakashi was convinced of Yennefer's feelings, after all 70 years are not 70 days.

"What she fiercely sought, she has already achieved, so she has no reason to betray me."

"But she can read people and their intentions well, so what you want, you'll never achieve."

Realizing that Chireadan was about to lose his temper and fearing that he might say something that would offend Kakashi, Geralt intervened.

"I believe this discussion has gone too far. We better calm down."

With a face that showed clear displeasure, Chireadan spoke.

"Don't forget my words, don't trust the sorceress. She is very dangerous."

Geralt didn't respond.

Before he could say anything, a door creaked upstairs, and Yennefer appeared at the top of the stairs.

"Witcher, could you come over here for a moment?"

Yennefer leaned on the door of one of the poorly furnished rooms in which they accommodated the troubadour.

Geralt approached her, observed her and remained silent.

He noticed that her left shoulder was slightly higher than her right. Her nose was a little too long.

Her lips appeared to be excessively thin. Her chin seemed a little too set back. That her eyebrows weren't regular enough.

And her eyes, although beautiful, were a little big.

Geralt continued to admire her beauty with his eyes. She had the body of a twenty-year-old, although he preferred not to try to guess her true age.

She moved with natural grace. No, it was not possible to guess what she had been like before.

Her transformation made many changes, so she left some imperfections, which normally would not be noticed.

However, these small flaws did not diminish her beauty and charm, in fact these flaws increased her beauty.

Her flaws made her look more natural, and when you put them all together she was close to perfection.

He stopped thinking about it, it didn't make any sense. Dandelion was more important at this time. He wasn't interested in what she looked like before her transformation.

"How's Dandelion?"

Geralt asked worriedly.

"Are you questioning my capabilities?"

Yennefer replied, graciously.

"Don't worry. Your talented companion will be fine."

"And thanks to my help, he will recover his vocal abilities, he will sing like a bird."

"You have my gratitude, Yennefer."

She smiled at his words.

"Don't worry. You will have the opportunity to show your gratitude."

"Can I come in and check on him?"

Yennefer was silent for a moment, looking at him with a strange smile.

"Of course you can. Come in."

Kakashi downstairs watched the Witcher enter the room, but like her he didn't feel any dangerous feelings coming from him.

He decided to let Yennefer resolve this matter.

As soon as he entered the room, Geralt felt a strong trace of magic in the room.

The medallion around the Witcher's neck began to vibrate violently. To the point that it was possible to hear its vibration.

At the central point of the floor was a glass sphere the size of a small watermelon, emitting beams of light.

A sphere marked the center of a carefully traced nine-pointed star, whose vertices touched the walls of the room.

Inside the star there was a pentagram painted with red paint.

The points of the pentagram were marked with black candles, set in strangely shaped candlesticks.

Other black candles burned near the head of the bed on which Dandelion lay, covered with goat skins.

The troubadour breathed calmly, neither moaning nor raving.

The pained expression on his face had been replaced by an idiotic smile, but full of happiness.

"Don't worry. He's sleeping and dreaming."

Yennefer spoke disinterestedly.

Geralt looked at the figures drawn on the floor. He could feel the magic hidden in them, but he knew it was a dormant magic, not yet awakened.

Something seemed wrong to him, but Geralt didn't know what it was, his instincts told him to be careful.

"What is this, Yennefer?"

"A trap."

"For whom?"

"For now, for you."

He responded to the sorceress, turning the key in the lock and then making it disappear.

Yennefer placed a spell on the door preventing everyone from entering.

"I See I've Been Caught".

He coldly observed the Witcher.

"What will happen now? Are you going to attack my virtue?"

"Don't brag so much. I don't have that kind of interest in you."

Yennefer replied, sitting on the edge of Dandelion's bed, who was smiling like an idiot.

He let out a slight moan. There was no doubt that it was pleasure.

"What's going on here, Yennefer? If this is a game, then I don't know the rules."

"You will remember that I told you that I always get what I want. For it happens that I want something that is in the troubadour's possession."

"I'm going to take it from him and we'll part ways. There's no need to worry, nothing bad will happen to your beloved."

Not caring about Yennefer's joke, Geralt growled at her as he spoke.

"These magical signs that you set up on the ground are used to summon demons."

"And whenever demons are summoned, someone ends up getting hurt. I won't allow that to happen."

"No need to worry... not a single hair will fall from your head."

He continued the sorceress, not paying the slightest attention to the Witcher's words.

"His voice will be even more beautiful and he will be happy... I would even say happy."

"In fact, we will all be happy and part with no regrets or resentment."

"Ah, Virginia."

Dandelion whispered, without opening his eyes.

"How beautiful your breasts are, they are more delicate than swan feathers. Virginia…"

"Has he gone mad? Is he delusional?"

"Nothing that radical. He's just sleeping."

Yennefer smiled.

"His wishes come true in his dreams. I probed his brain to the core. I didn't find much."

"Just some nonsense, the occasional daydream and a lot of poetry. But let's not waste time on that."

"The seal with which the Djin's container, Geralt, was covered."

"I know he's not with the troubadour, but with you. Hand him over here, please."

"What do you need the seal for?"

"Let me see… What would be the best way to answer your question?"

"Let me think what the appropriate response would be for you"

Yennefer pretended to be thinking, then she smiled menacingly.

"What the fuck do you have to do with this? Are you satisfied with my answer?"

"No".

Geralt replied, also giving an unpleasant smile.

"I wasn't. But don't beat yourself up about it, Yennefer, because it's very difficult to satisfy me."

"So far, only above-average people have achieved this."

"It's a shame. If that's the case, you'll continue to be dissatisfied and only you will lose out."

"Please, the seal. Don't adopt airs that don't suit your type."

"If you haven't realized it yet, know that the way you will show your gratitude has already begun."

"The seal is the first installment of the price he will have to pay to recover the troubadour's voice."

"I see you divided the price into several installments."

Geralt spoke coldly.

"Whatever. I should have expected that… I shouldn't be surprised."

"But let it be an honest negotiation, Yennefer. I was the one who bought your help and I will be the one who pays for it."

Yennefer's lips twitched into a smile, but her eyes remained cold.

"As to that, my dear Witcher, you should have no doubt whatsoever."

"I'm the one who contracted this debt. And not Dandelion."

"I'll take you from here to a safe place and once I've done that."

"I will return to pay the second and subsequent installments. Because as far as the first is concerned…"

Geralt reached into his pocket and removed the bronze seal with the star and broken cross engraved on its surface.

"Please take it. Not as a payment, but as a token of gratitude for having it, though not without interest."

"Having taken care of him more gently than most other sorceresses would have done."

"Receive it as proof of goodwill which should convince you that I will return to complete payment."

"Once I ensure my friend's well-being."

"I didn't notice the thorns hidden among the flowers, Yennefer, and I'm willing to pay for my inattention."

"What a beautiful speech."

The sorceress said, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Poignant and pathetic".

"It's a shame it was of no use, I need Dandelion and he will have to stay here."

"Since it was already close to what you intend to evoke here."

"You have to use it to attract the creature."

Geralt said, pointing to the drawings on the floor.

"When you have completed your work and caused the Djin to appear, I am sure that despite your promises."

"Dandelion will suffer again, probably even more than before."

"Because all you care about is being stuck in the bottle again, isn't that right?"

"You intend to dominate him and force him into your service, am I right?"

"You don't need to answer, I know this is the truth."

"As far as I'm concerned, you can do whatever you want; summon up to ten demons if that's your wish. But without Dandelion."

He was speaking a little emotionally.

"If you put Dandelion at risk, the negotiation will no longer be honest, Yennefer."

"And in that case, our negotiations are over."

Suddenly, Geralt interrupted his speech.

"I was curious to know when you would notice."

Yennefer mocked, Geralt felt his muscles contracting, to the point of feeling pain in his jaws.

His effort to resist the spell was in vain.

He was as paralyzed as a stone statue or a post driven into the earth. He couldn't even move a toe.

"I knew of your ability to deflect a spell cast directly upon you."

Yennefer said.

"I also knew that you, before taking any action, would strive to impress me with your eloquence."

"As he chattered, the charm remained suspended over his head and began to act, slowly undermining his defenses."

"Now, you can just talk. But you don't have to try to impress me anymore."

"I know you are eloquent, but any effort to reinforce that impression will only harm you."

"Chireadan…".

Geralt stammered, fighting the magical paralysis.

"Chireadan will be suspicious of what you're up to."

"And you'll soon realize that, because he doesn't trust you, Yennefer. He never did…"

Yennefer made a sweeping gesture with her hand. The walls of the room blurred and acquired a uniform, opaque texture.

The door disappeared, the windows disappeared, even the dusty curtains and pictures covered in dirt disappeared.

"And what will happen when Chireadan finally realizes this?"

"Are you going to run out and look for help? No one will be able to cross the barrier I installed."

"But Chireadan isn't going anywhere and he won't do anything to harm me."

"No, it's not a spell, I didn't do anything like that."

"The idiot fell in love with my appearance."

"You didn't know that? Well imagine that he even considered challenging Beau to a duel."

"Have you ever seen anything like this? A jealous elf? It's an extremely rare occurrence."

"Geralt, it wasn't for nothing that I chose this house."

Geralt was not happy with the new information obtained.

"Beau Berrant, Chireadan, Errdil, Dandelion. Indeed, you pursue your goal in a straightforward manner."

"But you won't use me."

"Well, know that I will, you can't escape anymore."

The sorceress got up from the bed and approached, carefully avoiding the signs and symbols marked on the floor.

"I told you that you were my debtor for curing the troubadour."

"The price you will pay is nonsense, a small favor."

"After completing what I intend to do here, I will immediately disappear from Rinde with Kakashi."

"But in this city I have some scores to settle. I promised certain things to some people, and I always keep my promises."

"However, since I won't have time to do it myself, you will do it for me."

Geralt fought and fought with all his might to escape Yennefer's control. But his effort was in vain.

"Don't fuss so much."

Yennefer smiled scathingly.

"It won't help. You have great willpower and a lot of resistance to magic."

"But you are in no condition to fight me, nor my spells."

"And don't try to fascinate me by using your manhood."

"You are an irresistible macho only in your imagination."

With a cocky smile on her face Yennefer continued.

"To save your friend, you would have done anything I wanted, even without any spell, you would have paid any price."

"I don't doubt that you would lick my boots if I told you to... and maybe even something more, if I unexpectedly wanted to have some fun

little".

Geralt remained silent. Yennefer stood before him, smiling and playing with the diamond-studded obsidian star attached to the velvet ribbon around his neck.

"I know what kind of superficial person you are, Geralt, you're like everyone else, they only look at appearance."

"It only took a brief exchange of words for me to know exactly what you are like and in what currency to charge my service."

"I could use other means to get revenge. But I want you to do this, because you have to pay for many things."

"For his false pride, for his cold gaze, for his eyes capturing the smallest details, for his impassive face, as if it were made of stone, for his sarcastic tone."

"For having the audacity to think that I could stand face to face with Yennefer of Vengerberg and consider her a sorceress full of self-worship and arrogance."

"While I desired my body and appearance. For all of this… pay, Geralt of Rivia!"

She grabbed his hair with both hands and blew purple wind into Geralt's face.

The medallion around the Witcher's neck shook, giving the impression that its chain was shortening and tightening it as if it were a collar.

Did a voice sound inside his head? His ears began to ring terribly.

He stopped seeing Yennefer's violet eyes, and everything plunged into darkness.

He was kneeling. While Yennefer said something to him in a calm and soft voice, giving him the orders he should follow...

Downstairs, Kakashi was fiercely trying to enter the room, after he felt magical energy covering the door.

He hurried and tried to get in using all means, but no matter how he tried, Kakashi couldn't get into the room.

Kakashi tried to break the door by punching it with his chakra-covered arms.

However, he was unable to do any damage to the barrier that was placed.

It seemed like that barrier was made especially for him, because it was able to protect himself from his chakra perfectly.

Yennefer knew that Kakashi would not approve of his new plan, so she decided to act alone.

She would fulfill her wishes and then, she would get her forgiveness, in her eyes Kakashi could not complain since he constantly deceived her, and put himself in danger.

For this reason, Yennefer believed that he would not be too upset with her.

Looking at the barrier using his Sharingan, Kakashi knew that it would be extremely difficult to overcome.

He could use his Raikiri, but that would damage the house a lot and could end up hurting someone.

And as he didn't know what was really happening he found this action very extreme.

However, this barrier required a lot of elemental energy to remain active.

Kakashi would just have to wait a little and the barrier would soon dissipate on its own.

However he didn't have to wait long, the magic soon dissipated and he was able to enter the room, but to his surprise the room was gone.

The only thing that remained of the room was its floor, and Geralt, who looked catatonic in the center of the room.

Approaching him, Kakashi realized he was under Yennefer's spell.

Its unmistakable smell of currant and lilac. He was steeped in the Witcher.

Kakashi tried to wake him up but failed, this situation forced him to make a choice, either he would try to wake Geralt up and check what he knew or he would go to the place where he and Yennefer organized the equipment to capture the Djin.

Stuck in this dilemma he decided to create three clones, one to watch Geralt and the other would go to Beau's house and he would go to the old castle they found.

This way he could find Yennefer more easily, so he set out on his journey, at Beau's house he found nothing.

His clone who stayed with Geralt observed him to check why Yennefer bewitched him.

He discovered that Yennefer's spell was also intended for Chireadan.

After all, his mission gave Kakashi no clue as to Yennefer's whereabouts.

It seemed more like Yennefer was taking revenge on them, and Kakashi didn't have time to solve the problem at that moment.

His priority was finding Yennefer.

So he went as quickly as he could to the old castle, and checked every room in the place, which took a few hours.

He was unable to find any clues as to his whereabouts, so he decided to return to Rinde.
