Clearing The Doubt.

Ray: I waited outside the hall for merchant to come while the the guy with us was sitting beside me with a big smile on his face like he won a Oskar I knew it's reason full well.

10 minutes later finally merchant came with a satisfied smile seeing this the cheif asked." I hope sir enjoyed himself," with a smile.

Merchant "Hahhahah.... yes I enjoyed full well and would surely provide a help whenever you need in future don't shy to ask for it ," Laughed and said still having a smile.

Cheif sighed hearing this then smiled and said "I wouldn't,"

Seeing this I shaked my head feeling how could a man can offer her wife to other for such petty reason but didn't say anything knowing this was not my problem or my place to say anything but have douth that I will ask merchant in trip.

Merchant "Good now everything is settled we should also not delay are journey so we will leave now I hope that sir Ray and you are ready,".

He called me with more respect because he knew I was 5 and 3 rank above both so I too gave a simple nod as a 'yes'.

The guy said "yes I am ready and cheif thanks for the hospitality I will surely visit more in this village if you need my help ask anytime,"With a smile.

Cheif smile became wider and said "OK and I hope your trip go smooth without any problem."

After the greeting we went to our carriage but this time instead of sitting on back carriage I sat on front the guy didn't mind this and sat on back carriage while merchant was confuced the sudden change in my way but didn't dwell on it knowing he was guild adventure and he had no reason to hurt him if he does anything to him he would face the consequences but was happy instead knowing if any danger to come he would be the first to act and safe him and his goods.

After done everything we left the village. One hour later we wheir far away from the village I asked what was on my mind to merchant "Was that cheif your friend or a subordinate?" I didn't directly. I was the type of a person who would ask directly, without framing my word in way wheir it look nice. And if he didn't like my way, it was not my problem.

Hearing the sudden question out of no where coming from demon he frowned and asked "What makes you think so he was my subordinate and why do you ask?"

"The way he spoke toward you and acts other may not notice but I can it was like he would do everything you ask him to do and why I asked I have my reasons," Indeed from the time we where their I had this feeling like he was his subordinate the way he talked or behave in front of him.

He was little shocked hearing it knowing that many would not have able to see through cheif act but he did, While remembering that he was new born Demon at that thinking 'Are all demon this sensitive to see through people' and started thinking either he should tell the truth or not for a minute he said knowing it would cause him no harm in speaking the truth.

Ray to didn't said anything letting him think what should he do waited then heard his answer.

Merchant "He is not my subordinate or anything but I offer him many deals that benefits him which also helped him to became the cheif of the village so he respects me nothing else,"

"What do you mean by that, You help him became the cheif of the village?" I asked not understanding what he meant.

Merchant " I am merchant ,So I do deals in  different  town, So he as a villager cheif sell his goods to me while I sell them to different towns. While I provide him with better deal. Which helps him strengthen his position as a cheif in the village, Who's one of the job is to sell the farm product of the villagethat villagers intrust him to other towns, So I do that job for him in which I earn some and rest goes to the chief. And villagers get Satisfied by the better pay. And this villager are the one who choose the cheif of their own village So as long as I keep on providing better deal for him he would stay respected towards me and if not he would to not give such respect."

Understanding this I thought for a sec and asked again "What would he get been the cheif?"

Hearing another question he got to know the only reason he sat with him this time was to know about either cheif or he was asking him out of curiosity but he didn't mind answering his questions unless it doesn't harm him in any way .

"Well for starters he will get a lot of MS which could benifit him in moving further in his rankings other benifit would be if the village grows and have more resources to sell people like me would visit the village more often to make deal with the cheif since he is one he could demand more resources or MS which could provide him more benifits for himself, And merchant would have to agree with him in order to gain this resources well resources like foods , cloth wools , dairy merchandise etc , even if his limit is rank 10 he would collect those resources for his future sons so that can help them to inbtheir ranking journey while he would teach them to stay obedient toward him if his son succeed reaching higher rank he would enjoy his luxury in the back while his child would provide for him for like us people who can't break through higher rank we do it for our future generations sons.,".
