Cooked Alive!

Apparently, Old Lao had poked the firestone once again, and it was now flaring with increasing heat.

Zzzz!

The solution then began to boil with raging fervor as Ji Min began to spasm within the cauldron.

Br-argh!

Ji Min tried to scream, but his screams were utterly drowned by the cauldron as he began to feel as if he had been thrown butt-naked into a pot of boiling oil.

It didn't take too long for Ji Min to realize that, claiming that he had been dipped butt-naked into a pot of boiling oil was a severe understatement; instead, it felt like he was thrown into a pot of boiling acid.

The firebird sap delivered its qualities one hundred percent as all the hair on his skin fell off in batch by batch, then his flesh began to turn beet red as the potion cooked his flesh for an hour.

By the time the potion was done with him, all his pores had opened wide as the potion seeped into his body in a gradual but 'ever so slowly' manner.

The solution cooked everything in its path causing Ji Min to feel like he had once again visited hell.

But just at that moment, when he was feeling like he was in hell, the solution surged and poured into his veins

"...."!" And just like that, Ji Min fainted.

However, as luck would have it; the solution had already entered his veins and all they needed to do was follow the pre-established path to wherever they were needed; an adventure that was fully sponsored by his heavily beating heart which ensured that they reached their destinations without fail.

However, whilst luck was on his side, fate wasn't; as Ji Min felt a searing pain tug his consciousness awake.

This time, he experienced hell multiplied by hell, and then raised to the power of hell.

The solution decided to move at a snail's pace and none of it pleased Ji Min one bit.

Furthermore, he was in so much pain, that his brain had to shut down every other function to deal with it, and thus, he was unable to even bat his widely opened eyelids, not to talk of fleeing from his current plight.

The solution then potion washed over his muscles, bathing them in its terror causing Ji Min's tender muscles to begin to harden like overcooked meat.

Following the same pattern, the solution slowly arrived at his tendons which held his bones together, and at this point, Ji Min felt like all his joints were being flayed and then reattached and then flayed once again, until the process seemed to replay itself a million times in his mind.

But the moment the solution arrived at his bones it brought a completely different kind of pain to his bones.

Ji Min's bones felt like it was a candle being poked with a billion red-hot pins, and once again, he fainted for the second time.

After another five minutes which seemed like eons, the solution finally seeped past his bones and entered the marrow where it encountered the factory where his tissues were being manufactured.

When tissues overlap each other for a long time it hardens and forms the cartilage which then hardens over time to form the bone, and the solution washed over them, smoothening them like a cloth being steam-ironed at a Laundromat.

The pain, just like the dawn alarm clock, once again tugged Ji Min awake.

After all of that was done, the solution once again seeped through his tissues and then poured into the hollow marrows of his bones before diffusing out into his bloodstream; but this wasn't what gave Ji Min the excruciating pain he was currently feeling.

Blood flows in every organ of the body, and this boiling acid of a solution left no organ untouched.

His lungs, brain, kidneys, intestines, and even his *little brother* weren't spared.

Ji Min began to feel like he had acid for blood, igniting coals for organs, burning wood for bones, and hot metal sheets for flesh; and finally, he was almost breathing fire.

Agony; Throe; Trauma; Anguish; Torment; none of these words could perfectly describe what Ji Min was currently feeling, even if they were piled on top of the other, and multiplied by the factor of grief.

The solution then moved to its final destination; his spine!

The spine was where every blood cell was being produced and the solution didn't spare a single one of them.

Ji Min entered a state of semi-death; his consciousness had been tugged to and fro the line that separated life and death.

No wonder there was a 'resurrection' in the solution's name; he had truly died and resurrected thrice in just the space of three hours.

Within these three hours, the solution had changed from its jade-green color to transparent, and then back to pitch-black.

In fact, when Ji Min woke up, he couldn't classify what was in the cauldron anymore.

It was like a pitch-black slurry, almost like unprocessed crude oil.

Old Lao and the twins quickly used their sleeves to cover their noses, and at that moment when Ji Min thought it was all over, Sensei's voice suddenly rang within his mind like a decree from the god of death.

[Young Lord, please endure for a little bit.] He said as about seven of the venoms which Sensei had stored within Ji Min's body using the Qi within his body suddenly burst forth from within him, moving in the reversed path to that of the solution.

Boom!

Tides of pure Qi erupted from within the cauldron like an ocean after Poseidon woke up on the wrong side of the bed.

Shockwaves of unadulterated energy spread out in all directions fluttering the clothes of Old Lao and the twins, plastering their hairs to their scalps...

"Argh!"

This time, Ji Min's screams escaped the cauldron and reached the onlookers' ears.

Old Lao who was monitoring the entire process frowned at first; then when he felt the wave of pure Qi buffet his face for the second time, he realized that a mutation must have occurred with the solution's ingredients that Ji Min's Qi was struggling with.

'Perhaps, his Qi will make the treatment more effective.' He thought to himself as he prevented himself and the twins from rushing over to interrupt the treatment.

The initial treatment had taken about four hours while that of the venom resistance took another three hours.

Then when all the ruckus ended, Old Lao then removed the massive rock he had placed on the lid of the cauldron to prevent Ji Min from fleeing, and when he looked inside the cauldron, the water was once again transparent;

Apparently, Sensei had gone a step further to use the harmful pitch-black slurry within the cauldron to further strengthen Ji Min's resistivity.
