The Divine Resurrection Solution

Qing nodded to the question with the bravest face she could muster, causing Little Ming to heave a relieved sigh; but the air in her throat got stuck when she heard Ji Min's next question;

"So why are you all sweaty and panting whilst Little Qing isn't?"

Cough! Cough! Cough!

Little Ming coughed violently after choking on her saliva whilst Little Qing hid behind her twin whilst Sensei simply roared in laughter.

[Are you enjoying the show; should I push on a little further?] Ji Min asked with a mischievous tone;

[Please indulge me.]

The moment Ji Min heard Sensei's question his lips suddenly curled up into a mischievous slant.

"Err; it was Qing's fault! She had barely run up a hundred meters when she said she was too tired and would walk instead, so I left her behind and arrived first. T-then I waited for her outside."

Little Ming said on the spot as Ji Min wondered how such a little girl could come up with such a lie on the spot, but since she dared to lie, she had fallen into his trap, and he would make sure she sweat bullets before she left.

"Oh, so you left her behind to come to wait for her?" Ji Min asked with a fake frown which Little Ming bought.

"Hehe; what can I say, I love exercising a lot." She added whilst scratching her chin.

"Oh, if I remember correctly; the day I arrived here, it took us about an hour to walk to the top, so I'm sure Qing must have taken at least 45 minutes right?"

Little Ming didn't know where Ji Min was going with his statement, but she nodded subconsciously.

"Then how come you were still sweating after 45 minutes of resting?"

"Unh? Err…"

Little Ming then began to scratch her nose, her chin, her head, and everywhere she was feeling an itch.

Then she began to sweat, and Sensei said he's had enough, so Ji Min simply ended it;

"Are you alright, why are you all itchy?" Ji Min asked with a fake tone of concern.

"Nevermind, let's just go and eat." He added as he gave Little Qing a knowing wink after walking past Little Ming.

Little Qing chuckled slightly when she realized that Ji Min had actually caught on to their lies from the beginning and was simply having fun pressuring her twin.

Normally, Little Qing would be enraged by such an audacious action as she her twin was the only person she truly loved.

She only respected everyone else and respected Old Lao for freeing them from slavery; but no matter how hard she tried, she just couldn't bring herself to be mad at him, and instead, joined him in laughing at her twin.

The trio then left to have their breakfast, and it was at only after they had finished that Old Lao told Ji Min they would begin his treatment the next day.

Dawn the next day; Ji Min, the twins, and Old Lao gathered at the small hut as Old Lao began to explain the process of his treatment.

"To treat your condition, we would need to refine your body from the outside in; as such I have gathered all the herbs you will need for the treatment, and we will have to do it once a week for the next three months."

Old Lao said as he picked up a stone that had a blue flame dancing within it.

He placed the stone beneath the cauldron and used his Qi to poke it a little, causing the flame within the stone to leak out at a slow pace whilst the cauldron began to heat up gradually.

Little Ming and Little Qing then poured the water they had fetched from the lake earlier into it, and when it began to boil, Old Lao opened the cauldron as hot steam burst into the area causing Ji Min and the twins to shudder from the intense heat that was billowing out of the water.

Then he threw in the first herb which was a batch of kindling seeds and spoke;

"Spirit Flame Kiwi to refine the cells."

Then he continued squeezing out the secreted juice of a berry-like fruit and spoke again;

"Wood Slug Berry to refine the blood."

Then he mixed the solution within the cauldron for ten minutes. Then he continued some leaves into the solution;

"The fallen foliage of the Snow Mountain Tree to refine the tissues."

He then crushed the branch of a flower into it;

"The branch of a Rhino Fury Flower to refine the bones."

Then just like that, in the correct sequence, Old Lao continued the concoction process.

Then at the end, he added another ingredient;

"The Firebird Sap, the finishing touch, and the most important of all the ingredients."

The moment the sap dissolved, it released a very peppery fume that would give someone as strong as Ji Fang a run for his money.

Though the sap on its own wasn't that peppery, the moment it comes in contact with anything hot, then all hell would break loose, and unluckily the technique required boiling water to be used to prepare the solution.

After succeeding in preparing the solution which Old Lao named the 'Divine Resurrection Ointment' Old Lao then told Ji Min to enter the cauldron naked, after sending the twins out of the room.

The solution had already changed into a jade-green color, but that was all that happened, there was nothing else that gave away any other kind of properties that it might possess.

Ji Min then took off his clothes and entered the cauldron before sitting cross-legged within it as instructed.

Since the cauldron was huge, Ji Min was completely submerged within it that after sitting cross legged.

For the first few seconds, nothing happened, but all of a sudden, the entire bath trembled slightly as billions of tiny bubbles of water began to float upwards from the bottom of the cauldron.

Ji Min instantly realized that Old Lao had poked the firestone once again, and it was now flaring with increasing heat.

Zzzz!

The solution then began to boil with raging fervor as Ji Min began to spasm within the cauldron.

Br-argh!

He tried to scream, but his screams were utterly drowned by the cauldron as Ji Min began to feel as if he had been thrown butt-naked into a pot of boiling oil.
