Settling down

"Okay. I'll get the mansion clean. But before all that, you have to meet Karan once. You have to go to court too."

"Hmm… Uncle?" Nora called.

"Hmm?"

"I don't think I need to."

"Huh?"

"Such a fake case can be handled by Mr. Gill anyway."

"Kuhh kuhh..." Carter choked on air. "Fake? What fake?"

"You really thought that I would not be able to catch you guys till the end?"

"You mean-"

"The contract Uncle Rahul has is not legit. Everything was planned by Mr. Gill and you helped him. I got it."

"..."

Getting no reply, Nora rolled her tongue and spoke. "It's okay, I understand."

"Really!" Carter exclaimed happily.

"Huh! You wish. I will remember you and Mr. Gill for this. Until I get back at you guys too."

"Really?" This time there was despair.

"Yes. Just wait and watch."

"Nor-" Before Carter could stop her Nora already hung up the call.

Carter helplessly looked at Karan. However Karan had a full smiling face. Carter knew what that smile meant so he didn't ask about it either.

"How did she get to know this?" He asked insteadly.

"She must have read all the documents from the locker." Karan replied.

"And?"

"She must have found those loopholes."

"She did?" Carter surprisingly looked at him.

"She impressed me a lot. Although she took her time but, she did it all correctly."

In fact he could see that Nora was getting more capable than Ryan. And in no time she would be able to give him a competition too. And that doesn't make Karan feel threatened at all. He was happy. In fact he wants that to happen.

"Is it a good sign?"

"If she continued at this pace, her training period would be easier than a piece of cake."

"She is the pride of her parents." Carter proudly smiled.

"She gave them all the reasons in the world."

"So what is next?" He asked with little worry. They achieved what they wanted for now. But what next?

"I'll get her admission to our top University. Once she starts college, Ryan will guide her and help her. And within three years I'll start her training too."

"Do you think everything will go as smoothly as you have planned. Although this time we got success. But we can't be this lucky everytime."

"It won't go smoothly, but she is destined to face those hurdles. Then only will she be able to achieve what her father wanted for her."

Within a few days, the court proceedings were also done. It didn't take much time for Nora, nor did it go against them. At the end of the proceeding Nora met her paternal uncle too.

Knowing that they were just a pawn to Karan Gill, she felt bad for them. Nora is rich enough to care nothing about such bills, but Rahul has limited assets and filling a case for such a big asset must have cost him a lot.

After another two week Steave's mansion also got cleaned under Carter's supervision. Nora and Krish both shifted back to their house.

Initially it was hard for Nora to shift back to her old room. Although Krish was very much excited about that. His old toys with so many photos bring a lot of joy in his eyes. Nora took her time to resolve her emotions.

Within a month everything got settled except one thing. They settled back without any prior notice to anyone abroad. Although Mr. Jonathan and Matthew understand and know about all this.

However, except them, there were many other things too which needed her guidance from time to time. Not just guidance, she had to inform some people personally too.

But being busy all this time she had no time to go back. Not just with legal or shifting problems, but she had her problems with selection of colleges too. And at the other end she has to take care of her office work.

In those days she also thought about her saviour a lot. Sometimes by looking at the Avenue entrance wall she tried to look for him too. But she never met him again.

It's already been a month. Once everything got pretty settled at home, Nora asked Carter to go and stay with his family. Even asked him to stay out and have his time for vacation. All the maids and servants had already come back. They didn't need anyone else to take care of them as a butler for a while.

That month, Ryan also went out of town with Karan for office work. In his absence, Krish missed him a lot. Unlike towards anyone there, he felt very close to Ryan especially. However for Nora she did not think much about it. His presence and absence won't bring a difference to her daily life anyway.
