She smiled while staring lovingly at the bouquet of pink roses she got from her suitor. She hugged it gently close to her chest and gave him her sweetest smile. Her workmate for three years, Yoshino Hokuto, started courting her last year and she just accepted his confession today. She doesn't really have plans on getting into a relationship but since she already fell in love with him, she decided to risk her heart for him.

"Let's have a date this weekend." He smiled at her before kissing her forehead. She chuckled softly and nodded. They are currently at the rooftop and their lunch break is about to end soon.

"Let's watch a movie? It's been a while since I went to theaters to watch one." She started stacking the empty lunch boxes.

"Sure. Let's watch the new movies." He helped her with the lunch boxes and put it back inside the knitted lunch bag.

She carried the bag and the bouquet in her arm. He let her go back to the office first since they decided to keep their relationship a secret for now. When she arrived there, their other workmates started to ask her who gave her the flowers. She just smiled at them and took her seat in front of the desktop.

The manager, Yamamoto Shogo got curious since they all know that she doesn't want to have a boyfriend now. He just looked at her and then, he shrugged his shoulders before going back to his paperworks. He felt a gentle tap on his shoulder and saw that it was Hokuto. He raised a brow when the younger one gave him a smile.

"Ah." He said. He knows now who gave the flowers to her. He's not really a fan of office love, so he just let them do what they want. They just need to make sure that it will not affect their work.

It's already eight when he decided to go home. When he arrived at the lobby area, he saw the new couple walking out of the building. He snickered as he slid his hand inside his pocket. He doesn't know when his feelings for her started but he is the one who met her first. He saw his best friend outside the building and he just smiled at her.

"I saw her with Hokuto. They are together now?" She asked and he nodded. His best friend since university years, Gia is just working at the law firm across their company building as a legal advisor.

"I told you to confess but you didn't do it." She said but he got his car keys instead and unlocked the doors.

"Hokuto is my friend. Fuyu is also my friend. They are my friends." He felt heavy after that. Does he really only want to settle as her friend and manager?

"She looks better with you." Gia added but he looked at her while putting his suitcase in the back seat.

"Don't start with that again, Gia." He warned her but she puffed her cheeks and went inside the passenger's seat.

"You know what I'm saying is right. I can tell that she will be happier with you. You met her first, desho? I hate that you always give what you deserve to other people." She started nagging at him but he just ignored it.

"Do I really deserve her?" He suddenly asked and without hesitation, Gia nodded. He sighed deeply and turned the engine on.

"We're already in our late twenties, Sho. You know our priorities. Marriage is one of your priorities, desho? You got your own house and car. I'm sure you have savings. All you need now is her." After saying those, she covered her mouth since he is already glaring.

"Stop that. I'll look for another woman instead." She furrowed her brows and rolled her eyes when she heard that.

"Yeah, sure. I hope you will not be able to find one." She grumbled, crossing her arms while looking outside the windows.

He started driving and dropped her off outside her apartment building. He was already on his way back home when he suddenly saw her alone on the sidewalk. He looked for Hokuto but he is nowhere to be found. He stopped for a while and went out of the car to call her. Fuyu looked at him and smiled.

"Where's Hokuto? He did not walk you home?" He asked and she was a little surprised that he knows that Hokuto is now her boyfriend.

"I told him I'll be fine alone. He insisted on walking me home but I prefer to be alone for now." She answered while smiling.

"Then, I'll drive you home. I insist and I will not accept a no for it." He smiled and he opened the passenger's seat for her.

Fuyu sighed in defeat but chuckled softly after. He felt like he won the lottery when she went inside the car. He closed the door and quickly went back to the driver's seat to drive her home. Supposedly, it was a chance for him to confess but since she is already in a relationship with Hokuto, he didn't dare anymore. They arrived quickly outside her apartment building and he smiled when she said her thanks.

"Fuyu." He called her and she looked at him as she was already outside the car. He shook his head and smiled once again.

"Oyasumi." He continued and she smiled back at him. She said her goodnight and closed the door. He buried his face on the steering wheel while gripping on it tight.

"You're so pathetic, Yamamoto Shogo." He mumbled. He lifted his chin and he almost got a heart attack when he saw Fuyu at his side and knocking on the window. He opened it and she smiled at him, pointing at her phone on the passenger's seat. He reached for it and gave it to her.

"Arigatou, Sho. Take care when you drive home." He nodded and smiled. He watched her walk inside the building and when he was sure that she was already home, he started driving again to finally get back home.
