Sael had not actually gone down and seen Seelie in a very long time. Since he had failed to find a way previously to take her Seed of Chaos away he felt there was no point. Because he had been using her as a battery to fuel the castle while keeping her weak enough not to be a threat he had been in no rush to try again. He figured eventually he would find a way to claim her power when he needed it later. That later was now. He was unprepared for how badly the little sprite looked. She was down to just four wings from her original ten, she only had that many left because at the time he was afraid she would have died having them ripped off. Since the day of her capture, she had remained chained up in this lightless cell. With no food or water he had expected her to eventually break but it seemed she was sustained through some other means.
