Is returning to our world possible?

After king's response everyone looked at king who now is looking over us with a very serious expression.

"I thank you for answering our summons, heroes. I am king of this kingdom of Eldoria, Beil Flora Eldoria. I have summoned you for there is something I must request of you."

His speech was really standard stuff. Maybe he will ask us to defeat the 'Demon King' like classic.

"Currently in this world, the human kingdoms are under threat by the leader of the demon armies, the so-called demon king."

"Thus, my request would be for you to defeat the demon king and their forces. You would receive training first, of course, then you will gain further strength through exploration and conquest of dungeons, ultimately leading to fight against the demon king…will you accept our plea?"

Yep, just as expected.

I was starting to feel annoyed at how we were forcibly summoned, when one of the intelligent boy in our class Ishikawa Yuto, spoke.

"Your majesty, before we give our answer, may I ask a question?"

"What is it?"

"Will we be able to return to our world?"

After Yuto's question, all of us including me looked seriously in king's direction.

Being able to go back or not was a very important question; all of us are surely wanted to. Even adventure in another world sounded tempting on the surface, but deep inside me I really wanted to go back and hug my mother and father. I know I will really miss them because they loved me a lot including my girlfriend who was literal yandere, I don't know what she will do. I hope to find aa way return to our world before something happen.

The King, however, answered in an apologetic tone.

"…I am truly sorry, but at present, there is no way for you to go back."

"What does that mean?" Yuto pressed immediately, with irritation and a touch of anxiety in his voice.

As king was waiting for this chance he spoke, "As the legend says, when the demon king is defeated, a divine prophecy will be received, detailing how to return to one's former world. We do not know, however, what kind of method that is at moment…"

Wow! I really want to clap at the king how he made that convenient explanation so that even if some heroes are unwilling, after listening to his words they will surely join the expenditure to defeat the Demon King.

But I am sure in the template when the hero defeat Demon King mostly they are betrayed by their allies and killed as they are weak because of battle against Demong King. It was mostly planned by summoning authorities to kill all the troop before killing demon king, so they do not have to worry about anything and kill the heroes.

As cliché as it sounds it really is selfish, but those authorities can't trust heroes and for their survival they chose to kill heroes.

As far as possible chances to go way until and unless God talked to us and promises us that he will send us back, at least I will not trust them on the contrary my suspicious really increases.

Maybe because a classmate realized it, one of the classmates started shouting.

"Enough with your crap! You summon us here and even force us to fight!?"

He was followed by several similar voices.

"He's right!!"

"Don't go decide everything on your own!!"

"This is your world, so do something about it yourself!!"

The protests were getting louder and louder until Hiroki dominated them.

"Everyone, please listen to me for a moment!!"

The audience hall turned completely silent for a second, as everyone present turned towards Hiroki.

I kind of imagined what he was going to say, so I frowned. Should I stop this idiot? Even I don't like him, I know that his decision will drag everyone in class to battlefield. But I let them at least say what he is going to say, maybe hypothetically he will oppose the king.

From my observation Hiroki was really good guy and always helped everyone but I don't know why he was so angry to me maybe I am more handsome or the girl he liked has crush on me or another thing but from what I remember from my memory it was first day of school and he enthusiastically greeted me, and I said that Who are you.

Haah, let's talk to him in future and if he is nuisance then I will remove him. This is not peaceful Earth this planet work on the principal of Law of Jungle where strong hunts for weak, so I have to set my mentality like that.

Maybe because of my father who was good as instructor I became like him and can adopt most of situation.

"I am thinking of fighting against the demon king, for the sake of the people of this world."

Heh! he really said that did this really this guy want to be hero that much.

"If it will save at least one person, I am going to fight. If we are heroes, we should be of some help. Everyone, will you fight with m..."

"Oye! Don't drag everyone for your selfish reason."

I really shouted at him after seeing his action. Most of the people will not deny him.

"Akira why are you stopping me. Since we all have power why can't we save those people?" asked Hiroki in sincere voice which really shocked me.

But I think I need to let him face reality.

"Are you an idiot? Do you think it is really that easy?"
