Placing my hands on the floor, I pushed my body up, looking at the window. The moon still illuminated the night sky.
"At least I didn't wake up in the morning." Groaning, I stood up and moved to the bed, sitting down on it, attempting to gain some type of bearing.
System? I shouted out in my mind, hoping to hear its cold and detached voice. I was not greeted with what I expected.
The purple screen once again flickered in my eyes, though this time, there was a lot of information displayed upon it.
Name: Theodore Ambrosius (Wyllt)
Age: 16
Template (1/1): Merlin (Nanatsu no Taizai) (1%)
Powers & Skills: Extraordinary Genius (Passive), Enhanced Physiology, Infinity (Continue to use the template to increase synchronization.)
I sat there in shock, feeling my mind racing at a much faster pace than I was accustomed to. If the panel wasn't lying to me, I could completely use the powers of an absurdly broken magician from anime.
Now, I wasn't someone who had actually read the manga, but I was aware of the main cast and some of their feats.
'Okay, so, in a world of magic, with possibly the peak powers of a mage?' I couldn't contain the laugh that was in my throat, as I broke out into a hearty chuckle. It wasn't a dream; a hearty chuckle broke out of me as I couldn't contain the laughter in my throat.
Alice, seeing that I was in a better mood, lunged into my lap and rubbed her face on my stomach in happiness.
"Sorry, girl. I must have given you a lot of scares since I arrived." I smiled sheepishly at her, though I was quite apologetic. It's clear that she didn't comprehend any part of the situation.
I stood up and walked over to my trunk. Along with the powers I had yet to test, I had regained the memories of Theo. Born into a Pure-Blooded family, the earliest memory I had was of myself, living alone in a mansion, well, more like a castle in Italy.
My parents, though I have no memories of them, seemed to be well-off, but the house-elf we had, Mercy, took my daily life care of.
She had fed, clothed, and bathed me, along with supplying me with the education I was lacking. She was more of a mother to me than the parents I didn't have in this life, and the ones I had in my old one.
The current year was surprisingly 2004, which didn't fit with the knowledge I had of the Harry Potter timeline, but I couldn't really be mad about it. I had received an owl at my home, which Mercy gave me, expressing my invitation to go to Hogwarts, in which they stated the starting age of Wizards and Witches was 16.
Mercy would leave the mansion daily and bring back supplies, along with the Wizarding equivalent of newspapers for me to read. The Wizarding war happened a couple of years later than the books, but Harry's parents died, along with the Longbottoms being tortured. Almost everything seemed to fit the canon story.
Opening the trunk, I fished out a cat post that doubled as a scratcher, placing it in the room's corner, along with a soft plush cat bed that honestly felt of higher quality than the supplied beds in the school. A small plate that had Alice's name written on it, enchanted with magic courtesy of Mercy, that would refill twice a day with food.
Back at the trunk, I pulled out the books required for classes this year, lining them on the bookshelf.
Besides those, I also placed three more books next to them. These, though, were diaries. The previous Theo had a habit of noting down his thoughts, his anger, sadness, and happiness in them.
A type of outlet, since his parents seemed to have disappeared from existence one day.
"I should read these books tomorrow and see if I can make some changes to this room, aye Alice? I'm sure we could do with some nicer furniture, especially the god-awful color scheme going on in here." Nodding at my own words, I planned a plan, hoping to make my stay here an iota closer to the modern world.
'Maybe I should also get a phone. Though, it wouldn't work when magic affects the reception… '
A thought for a later date.
Speaking of Alice, I'm not even sure why she became attached to me. It happened on my tenth birthday. Mercy had made a big fuss over the day, cooking enough food to sustain us for years, as I sat in the house's garden, enjoying the warm light of the sun.
Hearing a soft but pained meowing, I rushed to the bushes and found her small body, bleeding from what looked to be knife cuts. Quickly calling Mercy, we administered first aid, and since that day, she hadn't left my side once.
I held a soft smile as I reminisced about the day I gained a new member of the family.
Walking to the bed, I didn't bother changing my clothes, as I got under the sheets, Alice joining me as she lay on the pillow.
'What a weird day... tomorrow is Sunday, so I'll have time to explore the castle and figure out my powers more.'
Closing my eyes almost instantly, I drifted off into a deep sleep.

It turned out that Gryffindor really had the slums regarding their dorm rooms, having to share their bedrooms along with their showers. Fortunately, Ravenclaw showed a side of care for their students, each room being equipped with their own personal showers.
Donned in the black robes with blue accents, I made my way down into the common room. Fresh first years mingled with their seniors, questioning them about their schoolwork for the year, even going as far as inquiring about the content they should study.
Smiling at their eagerness, I walked through the room, though I became confused. Girls were looking at me with what I could only assume was... confusion, or even shock?
Did I not washed my face properly? Oh, God. Did I have toothpaste on my face?
Ignoring the possibilities, I left the house, and after a quick walk through the halls and stairs, arrived at the large and open doors of the Great Hall. Entering, I found my way to the near-empty Ravenclaw table, lined with all possibilities of food, warm and ready to be eaten.
Choosing the large but deliciously smelling English breakfast, the only sounds that came out of me were of chewing, swallowing, and contented sighs.
When was the last time someone treated me to such a nice meal? Not including the memories of this life, it's almost impossible to think about.
As I was relishing in my bacon, I spied a girl with brown, curly but almost frizzy hair, seated at the Gryffindor table, her head stuck in the books, as she tuned out the rest of the world. She had a shapely body, from what I could see, though the permanent scowl on her face took away something.
Hermione Granger, dubbed the Greatest Witch of her generation.
'Though her generation had many people that died, and possibly the lowest birthing rate, she was a genius in her own right. It wouldn't hurt to... get to know her, right? Probably in small doses, but she's really pretty.'
Now being lost in my thoughts, my head swarmed with possibilities, though, which head I was thinking with was questionable at best.
While I was looking at her, a hand gently slammed on the table, breaking my attention. Following it, Professor Flitwick was standing there, smiling at me.
"Good morning, Mr. Ambrosius, I hope your first night in Hogwarts was exceptional!" His odd voice was hurting my ears.
"Good morning, Professor. No complaints here. I can see such beautiful sights from my bedroom." Smiling at him, I picking up the parchment that was placed next to me.
It had my timetable for classes written on it.

"I know it may seem like a lot, but once you get into the motions of the Hogwarts curriculum, you'll be begging for more classes!" Flitwick exclaimed, the passion obvious in his voice, though I begged to differ.
Nodding my head, I folded the paper, placing it in my pocket, before drinking a glass of water.
"Oh, child. Headmaster Dumbledore wished to talk to you when you were available. Head to the staircase until you reach the seventh floor; there will be a Gargoyle located there. You can enter his office through there. The phrase is 'Blueberry Temptation.'" Turning his small, dwarfish body, Flitwick headed towards the newly entering first years, passing along their timetables as well.
'What the fuck does Dumbledore want with me? Please be different from the versions I've read about.'
Following Flitwick's instructions, I was soon standing in front of the Gargoyle he had mentioned.
"Blueberry Temptation." The statue spun slowly as a staircase appeared. Walking through the narrow stairwell, I was soon at the front doors of Dumbledore's room.
Raising my hand, I was about to knock when the door opened by itself.
"Come in, young Theodore."
Dumbledore's voice rang out from deep within the room. Quickening my pace, I avoided looking around the room too much, though Fawkes perched in the corner caught my eye. The phoenix looked at me, its eyes scanning me so intensely I thought I had accidentally stolen something from it.
Without realizing it, I was standing in front of Dumbledore's desk as he smiled kindly at me. "Please, sit. I'm sure you're curious why this old man has called you."
'Okay, let's see what the hell he's up to.'
