Immortality achieved.

We appeared out of the golden mist into a world of broken pillars upon and ruined pedestal, stairs leading further up the pyramidal temple complex.

As we walked on, up the stairs, in the neverending evening skies, a double helix of silently screaming souls and mutilated incorporeal forms came into view, rising high into a huge hole in the sky more pillars, silver and gleaming rose up beside it holding up a half dome structure, imbibed with the same psychic circuity leading further down into the cloudy, bottomless pit above which the pyramidal temple stood afloat.

On the platform stood a stocky man alone, dressed in imperial garb, a victorian wig on his head, it's silver curls cascading down his coat like a veil, looking like a proper 18th century london high court judge who was popping a semi after sending a starving 7 year old pickpocket to the gallows for stealing 5 pence and a string of lint.

"Jay Walker." He said, not even bothering to look my way.

"You're more than what I expected."

"Emperor Charles." I smiled and continued to walk up the stairs, as the Conceptual Shear fell into my hands.

"I'm afraid I can't say the same."

"I don't know where you come from boy, but I care not. I know what you intend." He turned to face me arms spread eagle in a grand gesture, "But you cannot kill me! I am immortal!"

I jogged and skipped up the stairs, whistling, as he continued.

"But you can join me! Together we can turn this world into a utopi- What are you doing?" He dodged a stab, and sidestepped another.

"I am immortal! This is pointless!"

"Then why are you dodging? Take the stab like a real man!" I teased with a wide grin on my face.

I knew why he was dodging it.

The same reason he knew my name.

He saw the akashic record. And he saw his death at my hands here.

Hell, the only reason he's still alive is because my now permanently active geas makes everything super blurry and hard to make out as all possible scenarios continuously pan out before my eyes.

It's quite disorienting, honestly.

Thankfully it won't be a problem once I get Charles's immortality code.

I rushed forward and swiped a wide arc but he jumped back and raised a hand at me, the psi symbol in carved into his palm shining with an unearthly glow as he let out a blast of power at me.

To no effect.

My cognitohazard filters went active immediately and the thought scrambled buzzed to life in my ear stopping the visions of death and destruction he was projecting before they could ramp up to full strength.

"How?!" He cried out in disbelief.

"If you stay still, I'll tell you~" I laughed.

He seemed to frown as he made another argument.

"Or you could join me! You could have everything you ever wanted! Even your wife! You love her don't you? I can revive her! This thought elevator could be yours! Once it is charged, it will grant any and all wishes! I can give you the first take at it!" He danced around me.

"No thanks. I don't trust wish granting artifacts and genies and especially rapey thought entities."

"What?" He asked confused.

I stopped and looked at him, before bursting into laughter.

"Oh, this is precious! You don't know, do you?"

"What? What don't I know?" He looked concerned now.

"The god you were planning to use, this Akasha. It manipulates and molests everything it touches. You are a puppet of it's will. And you don't even know it!"

" No... you're lying!" He scoffed, pointung accusingly at me.

"Oh I wish I was. I thought it was just a simple power up at first too! But then that entity, that god up there, it tried to mark me with it's power, mind rape me into subconsciously following it's grand design. Now obviously, it failed, just as you did. But that was me. You on the other hand, it was able to molest without limit because you didn't even know you were being manipulated! You know that grand plan of yours? A kinder world? A gentler humanity? Do you really think Akasha will grant you that wish?" I chuckled, walking over to him at a leisurely pace, "Nerf it's own power by turning the populace into a docile, unthinking herd of sheep?

Hell no! Your intentions might have been good, but through you Akasha wields a power so terrible it can recast humanity into an entirely new form. And it will not allow that power to go to waste on your wish, no. It will create more chaos, through your actions and through the actions of other geass users so that it may feed upon the new thoughts, theories, more suffering and pain and grow fat and long off of it.

You are just a means to an end for it, Charles. Just like everyone else is to you!"

"You must take me for a fool, that I would believe even a single-"

Suddenly, I stabbed at him, only to have him dodge again.

"Seriously?" He asked with a deadpan look on his face.

"What? I thought that would work!" I shrugged.

"So you were lying!" He exclaimed with relief.

"Oh no. That was all true. As is this. Playtime....is over." I reared my fist back and coiled my muscles letting loose a punch with all my power.

His face warped into a brief flash of terror and he sucked in a cold breath.

"Wha-"

"Texas Smash!"

A tornado blew from the cusp of my fist, ripping apart a hole in the permanent evening sky, rending cloud and tearing through the marbled stone platform we were standing on, sending Charles flying off the platform, mangled and battered before his body itself popped like a balloon, spewing blood everywhere as it fell into a portal, and reappeared on the platform before me.

"Goodbye, Charles Vi Britannia. You were an adequate test subject. And no one can take that away from you, like I will your code." I flicked the Conceptual Shear at his remains, killing him permanently as a string of psychic energy flew out from him before digging into my body, forming a faint later of circuitry across my form.

A psi symbol emerged on my forehead, glowing an eldritch red for a brief moment before settling in and disappearing into my skin.

Slowly but surely, I could feel the psychic power consuming my geas, as my vision returned to it original state, and the circuitry in my body became more bold and powerful.

It was a slow process though. The contacts estimated it would take about three days and change for it to finish.

Fair enough.

Expecting instant immortality from it was too much anyways.

I looked up at the collective unconcious, forming a gaseous planetoid above and snorted.

You're going down too you pervert!

Just not today.

I have prep work to do and my immortality to isolate before I attempt to wipe out the human psychosphere.

But I will wipe it out. One day, soon enough. For sure.

For now though, I have achieved immortality baby!

Now I just have to secure the thought elevator and we'll be done for the day.

I snapped my fingers and a dimension anchor dropped out from a portal beside me as did a handful of nanite canisters.

I connected to the nano swarm and input the alterations I needed done in the dimension anchor into them as they got to work and I alerted the computer to send in some probationary drones to set up boundary forcefields across the complex to capture the whole facility in one go.

As the drones flew out if the bevy of portals, I turned to my kids, who were just standing there rolling their eyes, bored out of their minds like I was taking them grocery shopping and smiled.

"So kids, what did you learn today?" I asked.

"Haaah! Not this Papa! Can't we go home already!?" Riley groaned.

"As soon as you answer my questions three!" I joked and Ace rolled her eyes.

"What do you think the lesson was here?

I want an answer from each of you. Even you- Star! Star. Don't lean over the edge of the literal goddamn abyss you stupid little muffin!" I grabbed him and lifted him in my arms before he answered the call of the void and took a nosedive off of the platform.

"But I'm bored, Papa~" He yawned.

"I know. But I brought you along so you can learn about the dos and don'ts of multiversal travel. So that when I give you your own portal guns, I know you won't hurt yourself with them!

So go on. Let's hear your answers.

What did you learn today?"

"That you like to take the scenic route home?" Ace replied sarcastically.

"No, well yes in this case but no. That's not the answer I'm looking for.

How about you Riley?"

Riley groaned again.

"Can't we do this at home? That light from the emperor is still making me feel sick....." She said.

"Yes. Yes, soon. I'm almost done. Now give me a quick answer. C'mon."

"I don't know.....uh..... something about contracts with entities?" She answered begrudgingly.

"Good girl." I patred her head, and she let put a cute noise, "You're close. What about you Star? Star?"

Aaaaaaand he was asleep in my arms.

I sighed.

"Okay, maybe you've had a long day.

Let's make this quick then.

I'll just tell it to you straight.

The first lesson you should learn from today is that making deals with eldritch entities is a big no no! You saw how it almost turned me into a puppet back there? Right? So no deals with Chthulu in this household, understood?"

The girls nodded.

"Secondly, when you make a deal with an entity or it's broker in my case, fulfill that deal in the most direct, low effort and efficient manner as possible. Because entities are like loan sharks. You give them an inch they'll take a mile and charge you interest for the trouble."

The contacts beeped, alerting me that the transport was ready.

I smiled.

"And finally, don't trust wish granting artifacts and genies and what not. If they can give you something, they can take it away just as easy.

Besides, something that isn't earned with your own two hands, something that is just given to you at no cost with no warning or strings attached is either a trap or completely worthless. Either way, you don't wanna be taking that stuff. Got it?"

"Uhun!" Riley nodded.

"Sure. Now can I see my new home?" Ace asked nonchalantly but I could see the excitement and impatience in her eyes.

How cute!

She nervous about her new life. And that's understandable.

"Alright kids. Let's go home." I said, rubbing their heads, as I led them to the door again, and snapped my fingers activating the dimension anchor. The timer on it began a countdown as we disappeared into the door, reappearing in the cave system, and the door crumbled behind us once the dimension anchor had shifted the entire akashic record to my microverse.

Why am I taking another world's akashic record with me?

Because I'm certainly not going to leave it behind on the off chance Lelouch decides to ignore my advice and mess with it before I can complete my research on it or destroy my newly earned immortality.

Nuh uh.

Not taking that chance.

I snapped my fingers again and a portal opened up before us, leading back home.

I yawned as the kids walked in.

Hmmm....maybe it has been a long day for more than just the kids huh?

I smiled, when suddenly someone walked out from the shadows, their hair shimmering even greener in the glow of the portal.

"Um.....hey?"

It was C.C.

Of course it was C.C.

Naked too at that.

And I must say, I don't mind the eye candy.

Well, at least it's nice to see my experiment worked.

I had killed her in that abrupt manner, before maxing out my geass specifically to test whether my new immortality would protect me from complete disintegration.

And lo and behold.

Total disintegration won't kill me now.

Nice to know!

As for C.C. ...

"Yeah. I know. Follow me. Let's have dinner first before we talk."

She nodded and we entered the portal returning home.
