Chapter 24: T VIRUS OUTBREAK
"Alice, tonight we're going to leave the city."
"Why can't we go now?"
"Umbrella has sealed off the entire city, and it's becoming contaminated by the virus."
"Can't we warn the public?"
"Do you think Umbrella will allow that?"
"They don't want others to know about their mistakes."
"They'll do anything to keep it hidden."
"And we don't have any evidence."
"Can't we stop the virus?" Alice asked.
"We can't."
"How can we stop it? It may have already started spreading."
"Alice, why do you trust me so much?"
Upon hearing that, Alice pondered for a moment and answered, "I don't know, but I just know that I can trust you."
"Thank you, Alice, for believing in me."
"So, Alex, can you tell me about yourself?"
"You want to know about me?"
"Yes, I'm very curious."
"Take a seat. It might take some time," Alex said, as Alice sat down beside him.
"Well, from the beginning, I've had many powers. One of them is immortality—I cannot die. I also possess powerful telekinesis, capable of crushing this city. I can control fire and many other things, although I sometimes forget. Additionally, I have telepathy."
"So, you can read my mind?" Alice suddenly felt completely exposed in front of Alex.
So, he can read minds?
Not only that, he can obliterate this city.
What on earth? He's incredibly powerful!
"No, I don't read anyone's mind. I respect others' privacy," Alex reassured her.
Who would want to read other people's minds?
I don't want my mind filled with other people's thoughts.
I don't mind knowing what Alice is thinking.
While contemplating, Alex smiled.
"Why are you smiling?"
"Nothing," he replied.
"So, you're a walking nuke?"
"Yes, I'm even more dangerous than a nuke."
"Are you afraid of me?"
"If you were someone else, I might be afraid of you. But, Alex, I know you won't harm anyone, and you're kind."
Hearing that, Alex smiled and said, "It seems like you have a good impression of me."
"Yes, so what?"
"It's nothing. I'm just thinking about some things, especially how to make you fall in love."
Upon hearing that, Alice became shy and didn't respond. Not receiving an answer, Alex said, "May I take that as a yes?"
In response, Alice remained silent and hurried to her room. Observing this, Alex smiled and said, "Alright, Alice, go and get ready. We're leaving tonight."
After Alice went to her room...
Wow! It's so exciting!
Alice said I can pursue her.
Yeah! Finally, I have a chance to make my dream girl fall in love.
Even though she didn't say anything, I have time to win her over.
Time passed quickly, and night fell.
"Alice, let's go. We're leaving," Alex said.
Upon hearing that, Alice emerged from her room and asked, "So, Alex, are we leaving?"
"Yes, and it seems that the Umbrella Corporation didn't stop the virus outbreak."
"What do you mean?"
"The city is now filled with zombies."
Upon hearing that, Alice thought,
What the hell? Isn't this too fast?
What do you mean the whole city is filled with zombies?
So, how are we going to escape?
And why are you so calm?
Oh, right? He's like a walking nuke. Even a nuclear bomb can't harm him. What can these zombies do?
"So, we have to escape from this city filled with zombies?"
Pretty much.
"Why are you so calm?"
If I wanted to, I could make this city disappear within seconds. Why should I be afraid?
The only thing stopping me from doing that is the people in the city.
I am not a mass murderer.
I can't destroy the city when there are people in it.
And besides, Umbrella will bomb this city. Why bother?
"So, Alice, do you want some weapons?"
"Yes, do you have any?"
"Here, take these," Alex said as he took out the weapons from his inventory.
"Where did you get them from?"
"I have a space where I can store many things."
"Wow, is there anything you can't do?"
What space to store things? Isn't that awesome?
"There are many things I can't do."
"Let's go."
Alex took Alice's hand, and they came out of his room, heading to the ground floor. They found it empty.
"It seems like everyone has left the town."
"It appears so."
While Alex and Alice were talking, a zombie appeared from behind Alex. He quickly caught the zombie with his telekinesis.
"Alice, it seems like all the people have turned into these mindless zombies."
"Damn, the virus has spread this fast."
"We underestimated it."
As Alex crushed the zombie's skull, they left the hotel and saw crashed cars on the road, dead bodies on the ground, and zombies approaching. Alex killed them all with his telekinesis.
[HOST HAS OBTAINED 50 SHOP POINTS FOR KILLING ZOMBIES]
"Let's go, Alice."
