Civilization, New Quests And Interesting Items

After waking up from my battle with the boar the previous night I firstly decided to see the changes in my body and new skills due to my new DF. I instantly realized my body was sturdier than in the past and I also felt stronger.

Once I got used to this new feeling I transformed into my beast form and tried to see what Abilities I had. Unsurprisingly charging at things was the only thing I could do. I was much more durable in this form, and was much faster. The form may have looked cool, however it didn't really give me that many advantages. I mean sure I could run faster and could use my large tusks but that was all I could do. Though I wonder if I can use other human abilities with this form.

After trying that out I changed into hybrid form. Hybrid form was in essence quite similar to beast form as it gave me a boost in my durability, strength and speed but that was it. One thing I was grateful for was having normal hands instead of hooves. Now with this form I'm confident I can do quite a few cool things once I get stronger.

I then made my way through the forest in beast form as it was honestly much faster. Even then I got out of the forest in the morning the next day. I then changed into my normal form tying my now long pink hair into a ponytail as I kept following the road.

Some hours later I came across a town. The town was quite lively. I saw many different shops that would sell things which anywhere else would seem weird but me knowing what this island is based of it felt awesome and confirmed my theory on something. They had shops selling spider eyes, golden carrots, glistening melons, blaze powder or 'fire powder' as they called it. They also sold Magma cream and slime balls.

How they got slime balls I didn't ask and frankly I don't want to know. When asked why the carrots are golden and some melons seem to have gold in them, the townsfolk informed me that they had no idea actually as ever since the first people came to this island some of their harvest would be like that. They said that these actually are more nutritious than the normal foods. They also said that most of the items sold at the apothecary's are used to make different potions. Now this got me excited. I wondered if potion making was possible in this world and turns out it was. As soon as I expressed interest in 'the fine art of potion making' as a certain bat from fiction would say, The system generated a quest.

[New Quest

you want to be a potioneer. You know these will help you in your journey. So know you must learn.

Rewards: Basic Potion Mastery LVL 0 (upgradeable), Additional requirements for 'The Journey To Greatness' Quest]

'Additional Requirements. Interesting.' I told myself wondering how this system really worked. Sometimes It felt like whoever made this system had no real clue what they were doing. {Hey man I'm trying ok}

I then just guessed that quests related to combat would most likely be a part of it. That theory was proved right when at the weapon's store I tested out a gun as well as a bow and arrow and low and behold I got a quest.

[New Quest

Long Range: All weapons that can be used from a distance are important as they help take out enemies without taking damage. You must be proficient to do so in order to defeat many enemies.

Rewards: Basic Bow Mastery LVL 0 (upgradeable), Basic Gun Mastery LVL 0 (upgradeable), Marksmanship LVL 0 Additional requirements for 'The Journey To Greatness' Quest]

Really? If it's so important why not give it to me with the sword and axe. Like seriously man, I get everyone thinks that I'm a close range fighter but what if I wanted to be sniper huh? Then what? Whichever God or Angel made this system must be an idiot. {C'mon man. I'm doing all I can.}

Now confirming my theory I decided to get quests for multiple other weapons be they close or long range. I also got a quest on learning to use string and a fishing pole during fighting. All of these had rewards which would be additional requirements.

I then made my way through the town and asked one of the guards where the mayor of the place was staying. I knew that if I wanted to do something I needed to infrom the guy in charge. I could do stuff without telling him but I actually want to live here for at least another year or so until either I set off onto the sea or by some complete and utter plot bullshitery The strawhats stumble upon here.

I then arrived at the mayor's office and met him. The mayor was a Man who seemed to be in his 60's and looked like quite a nice and honest man.

"What brings you here young man?" He asked.

"I was travelling looking for an island where I could learn something and then I stumbled upon here and after wandering for a while stumbled upon your island" I then proceeded to tell him my journey through the forest, leaving out the part where I got a DF because I still don't trust the guy. When I told him I Killed the giant boar he was quite surprised.

"That is quite an interesting story...um pardon me but it seems I have forgotten to ask for your name and introduce myself. My name is Jonathan Smith and who might you be?" The mayor, Jonathan asked.

"I'm Dave D. Watson. You can call me Dave, Watson or Techno whatever you prefer" I told him.

"'D' huh. You said I can call you Techno correct? Why is that" Jonathan asked.

"Well in my village we used to give each other nicknames and I was called Technoblade and it kind of stuck so Techno is short for Technoblade" I told him ignoring his intrigue at me being a 'D' whatever that meant. I knew D's had something special about them but I didn't know what exactly.

"So Dave, what did you come to ask me for?" Jonathan asked.

"Well I would like to stay here and learn all the interesting things you make here and the methods you use. I would also wish for a farm of my own. A small patch of land would be preferred as I can train there and make my farm." I told him

"I understand everything else but why the farm?" He asked confused why this random guy wants to make a farm in his town.

"I want to start a potato farm." I replied like that was the most normal thing in the world.

"May I ask why?" Jonathan was still quite confused.

"I Fucking love Potatoes." I said grinning from ear to ear.
