Chapter 2: Traumatic Memory

We were walking towards the pavillion until the maids ran towards me

"My lady! weve been looking for you! you should not go to the pavilion"

My personal maid said while her hands were cold and sweaty. Her face looked almost pale

"Why? My mother is waiting for me at the pavilion"

I said confused about what is going on. Then I heard a loud scream. It was Mother. I ran leaving the knight and maids behind.

"Princess! Wait!"

"My lady! Please Wait!"

Erden and the maids shouted while trying to chase after me.

I arrived at the pavilion and saw my mother holding a sword, blood and wounds all over her body.

"Mother!"

I shouted while tears falling down of my face. I ran towards her but the Knights blocked me with their swords facing me.

"Dont you dare lay your swords on My Lady"

Erden shouted while pointing his sword to the guards.

"Esteffan, I promise i didn't betray you. Why wouldn't you believe me? Why would I betray you? I am your wife. I am your daughter's mother."

Mother shouted as she was kneeling in front of Father. But, Father is looking at her with disgust and rage .

"Rhea, denying your crimes I see. I have evidences and letters you sent to your uncles and cousins plotting to kill me and my daughter to take over Sydonia"

Then the most traumatic thing happened, My mother laughed like a crazy woman. I can't believe what I was seeing.

"So you really caught me, how nice"

My mother said while she was bleeding all over. That woman in front of me isn't my mother. My mother is gentle and has a kind heart. She's not her.

"Knights! hold her! Rhea of Tyros, for committing crime of treason you are sentenced to death. I will kill you first before you kill me and my daughter. Right here right now!"

My Father ordered while glaring at my Mother. He shouted and draw his sword pointing in my mother's chest. Erden walked towards Father

"Esteffan! Please! your daughter is watching dont do this here"

"Its the more reason to have Ariadna see what will happen if anyone tries to disturb the peace and danger the safety of the royal family"

My father angrily replied. My eyes filled with tears but father was right he is doing it for me. For my safety and for the Kingdom. That's why I agreed and watched. I tuck the sleeves of Erdan and nodded at him to signal that it was okay. Even though I don't wish to watch. Erden looked at me worried.I fixed my gaze back to my mother.

"Ariadna my little girl, my little angel. I promise in my next life I will wholeheartedly love you as a mother"

She said while looking at me with those eyes that looked like she was bidding farewell.

"Thank you and Good bye, My Dear Mother"

After I bid farewell, father slashed her with sword on her chest. I was afraid, that my father would do such cruel thing.

"Clean and agile. Princess took it well"

Erden said while wrapping me with his cape. I feel numbness on my legs, my heart aches, my head heavy. All I remember is that things were dark after.
