Chapter 1: Meeting

Ariadna POV.

I remembered it so clearly. He was cheerful and also a bit taller than me. He had that aura for an instant kill. Fierce, but gentle. I met Erden when I was 5 years old, He was 20. He was my father's best friend almost like a brother. They were never seperated and was always with each other's back especially in the battlefield. He was always with my father even during his work and free time. It was a bright morning when I visited my father on the palace garden. I called for him and waved while wearing a smiling face. He too waved back and smiled.

" Ariadna come, Meet your guardian from here onwards. This is Erden he will surely protect you in times of trouble"

Father called for me and He pat the man's back and pushed him jokingly. The man let out a deep sigh

"Im Erden of the Great Whiye Knights your grace."

The man said as he kneels infront of me like a gentleman. I too, greeeted him back with a bow

"Father, mother is lonely cant you visit her once in a while?" I

asked eagerly. But, after what I said his face can't be drawn and that sweet smile vanished. He let out a deep sigh

"I'm sorry sweetheart I'm gonna be busy"

He replied then quickly dismissed himself in my presence. I understand where would his anger came from. Would've you be angry at your own father because he tried marrying you off to someone you even don't love? Father once said that Responsibilities first before anything else". He only see mother almost once a week or never at all. She took care of me by herself. An amazing independent woman. She took care of the palace's inner and political affairs when father is away.

My mother was Rhea, daughter of Soreka, Grand daughter of Tyros. To keep an eye on the sons of Tyros, my grandfather, Sydonia, arranged a marriage between his son and the daughter of Soreka. Then they had me.

The next morning, I visited the garden waiting for my mother for our tea time. It was windy, flower petals and leaves flying around, just the smell of fresh air. I sat down where the clovers where growing. They were my favorite flowers. I thought I could make a crown made out of clovers, then I started making. As I was in the middle of making the crowns, wind brushing my hair, In the distance I saw a light figure of White and Gold. That shiny figure closely getting nearer and nearer.

" Greetings, My lady"

He kneeled and greeted. It was Erden. I never looked at him this close. That blonde hair that looked like the Sun, blue eyes just like the sky and a tannish skin that looked so manly.

"Will you come and join me and my mother for tea time?"

"Yes, My lady. I am your guardian after all"

He replied and grinned. I smiled then he looked at me.

"Can you help me making crowns?"

"Yes my lady"

He sat down beside me and looked at me while i was making the crowns. After a short while, He then too started making something. Which i do not know and never bothered asking. I finished my crowns and was ready to give it to mother

"Sir Knight, Are you finished with what you are doing?"

I asked he looked at me and carefully grabbed my hand

"Here My lady, Its a clover ring. This would be the symbol of my loyalty to you princess."

He said while putting the ring on my finger. He looked at me with those soft blue eyes and chuckled. I looked at him and smiled

"Then you will be with me always?"

"Always"
