Chapter 2: His Story Begins

FLASHBACK

"I'm probably going to regret this later on." Then He got up and walked toward the blue portal, but before that he heard Ben 10 say his most famous line "IT'S HERO TIME!"

He stared back at the tv where it showed earth then it started zooming out showing all the different galaxies and it's rainbow of colors.

Then he went inside the blue portal and before he knew it, THIS was the event that changed his fate for the better.

As Ben walked inside the blue portal, he found himself floating in a endless black void, "Ah, you came just in the nick of time" paradox said as the blue portal closed behind Ben and as paradox was looking at metal gauntlet on his right hand disguised as a chrono navigator,

"woah, where are we?." asked in fascination and amazement.

"We are in a pocket dimension, there's nothing here, just an endless void that goes on forever." paradox said in his usual casual calm voice to Ben, making Ben even more astonished.

Ben quickly shook off the feeling of astonishment and said "of course we are, why did I even ask?."

Then Ben asked another question, "so what do I do now?.", "now in a couple of minutes, I will open a portal so you can go to the different earth, but before that I must tell all the necessary details such which earth and what powers the you will get or got, it's so hard to tell sometimes."

"ok could you tell me which earth that I am going to first then tell me the powers I will get please." Ben said as his voice went to usual depressed and sad voice, that made professor paradox become a little bit sad for him as he was reminded of what happened to him, but he didn't show it, as he continued saying.

"Of course, the universe you're about to go to is 'The marvel multiverse' Making Ben stupefied and short circuited his Brain making him stand still whilst staring at him with deadpan look on his face, and while looking at paradox like he was an idiot whilst still being completely silent.

"And as you are currently wondering as to why you're going to the marvel multiverse specifically to save one of their infinite Earths when there are countless courageous, noble heroes and are even willing to take the Ultimate sacrifice to save their loved ones and the innocent people who were unlucky enough to be in the middle of the battle between the forces of good and evil, it's what you're probably wondering right now."

making Ben slowly nod his head to confirm that's what he is wondering, "because this time there is some great villain who the heros can't defeat together, and it's up to you to help the heros defeat the villains."

paradox said changing his easy going voice to a more serious tone the more he talked, taking Ben Moore by surprise but quickly shaking off the surprise by shaking his head a little bit, then rebuking paradox by saying.

"Yeah, what you're saying is probably true, so what?, it doesn't matter in end, their sacrifice will amount to nothing at the end, humanity will not go extinct by some villain trying to conquer the world or some different villain trying to destroy the earth or eat the freaking earth, humanity will go extinct because of their greediness and lust for power and money by backstabbing their own people and childhood friends, that's how they will go extinct, and I will be there watching when it happens eventually or I'll die of old age before that happens."

he said while slowly becoming angry whilst his eyes started to get watery, then after he finished talking he quickly dried his eyes by using his shirt.

"And FYI I'm not here to save this earth, I'm here to redo my life because I have nothing left back home, a new fresh start, just for that nothing else and the powers are just a bonus and I'll use these powers for my own gains."

said while staring at each other's eyes for a couple of minutes, the tension in the area started to rising, then paradox closed his eyes and sighs, "Very well then, we just have to agree to disagree but eventually you'll see the error of your way, and when the moment comes you'll do what needs to be done."

then the tension slowly started to disappear like it wasn't there in the first place, "now about your powers, you weren't going to get any powers to begin with." said returning to his easy going voice while also shocking him by what he said.

"WHAT?!!, WHAT DO YOU MEAN?!", Yelled Ben who has started to regret his decision

on coming here and has started to get angry while also hyperventilating.

"Isn't it obvious, I thought what I said was pretty straightforward, then let's make this more clear for you so you could understand, I'm sending you to the marvel universe without any powers." said with his signature calm smile.

"THEN HOW COULD I DEFEND MYSELF?!, WHEN THERE'S A MULTIPLE CITY DESTROYING THREATS THAT YOU COULD FIND IN THE STREETS!!."

"I'm sure you could figure that out on your own." making Ben drop down on his knees, his rage fading away then he started to accept his fate.

Then paradox started to reach behind his back with his left arm trying to find something, "but, that doesn't mean I won't give something so you could use it to defend yourself with." making Ben look confused, "what is it?, some cheap plastic sword toy from Walmart or Target, then you could keep it for yourself." said whilst standing up from his knees and returning to his depressed voice, then he turned around wanting to leave as quickly as he could.

"I wouldn't be so quick to refuse my offer, how about checking what it is first, then deciding later." making Ben turn around becoming interested in what it is, waiting patiently to see it.

Then after paradox found it, he extended his arm with a closed hand, then he opened his hand revealing it to be a watch which resembles a digital wristwatch. Its faceplate is square and has a white, green, and black color scheme. The faceplate is black with two green stripes forming an outline for the hourglass.

"AN OMNITRIX?!." He yelled while also getting rid of all of his negative emotions he had, whilst getting excited as he was looking at the most powerful piece of technology to ever be created in the multiverse.

"precisely or to be more accurate THE OMNITRIX, this one is the improved version that azmuth made after Ben was given the prototype 6 years ago in their time."

As Ben slowly got closer to the professor so he inspected all the Omnitrix glory, as he was now only a few inches apart from it, then paradox said, "why are you only staring at it?, take it, it's yours now.".

Then Ben looked at paradox eyes with shock and disbelief while also being a little hopeful, "really?, are you sure that you would want me to have this?, the most powerful device in the multiverse."

then a smile grew on paradox face, knowing that he chose the right one to give this power to, because many people will take this immediately, revealing their greediness, selfishness and their true colors, but there are people who would be hesitant to take it, not believing themselves to be worthy, like this man right here.

"Yes it's just a gadget, I would like you to have this on your journey, or else you'd die pretty quickly may I add." scaring Ben a little, not knowing what he said was a joke or the truth.

then Ben hesitantly grabs the Omnitrix, trying to feel it out, it feels like something metallic but not like steel or any other mineral, it's sleek and durable yet light, and then he puts it on his wrist, but it doesn't lock itself on him, he tried to figure it out but he quickly gave up, "uhhhm, paradox it's not working, could you tell how to work this thing please?."

"Well of course it won't lock itself onto you, it already locked on Ben's DNA, and I don't know to reset it or work it.", "Then what should I do?." "All you need to do is walk through that portal behind you." extending his arm pointing to the blue portal behind Ben, making him look back.

"But isn't that the portal that will transport me to the marvel universe, how will that make the Omnitrix lock on my DNA?."

asking paradox what's on his mind.

"well Mr Moore, I left one piece of information that I haven't yet told you."

making Mr Moore question what it is, still being silent making paradox continue on.

"When you go through that portal not only transporting you to the marvel universe, but make you into Benjamin Kirby "Ben" Tennyson.", "So you want to turn me into a Tennyson, so the Omnitrix should work." said Moore every word slowly so he could understand what what's happening.

"well turn might not be the correct word for the situation, but it'll do for now."

he said while floating forward getting closer to the blue portal, then he stopped Infront of it, turning around to face Ben, saying to him, "Now then, when you go through the portal, your story will begin."

Ben nodding as he said, floating forwards stopping at the portal to say a few things to paradox, "ok uhhm, I'm not really that great at saying thank you anymore ever since that incident, so I will do it only once, Thank you for changing my life." smiling genuinely at paradox.

"think nothing of it, I was just doing my what I needed to do." while also returning Ben a genuine smile.

Then after exchanging their own of goodbye, Ben gone the portal officially beginning his story in the marvel multiverse with the most powerful piece of technology this universe has ever seen.
