"this movie is so good". Mariana said with mouth full of chips

"tell me about it. such perfect acti..." Martha was about to complete her words when her door flew wide open

"You know there is a word called knocking, right". Mariana said sacarstically by Lucas mannerless act.

"what the hell Martha". Lucas said looking angry

"what?!". asked Martha

"I thought you said you were going to work on your math. then why are you chilling on Netflix then?". Lucas asked looking furious almost yelling

"How does that affect you if I may ask?". Mariana asked angrily at Lucas behaviour

"I wasn't talking to you so just shut the fuck up". Lucas said calmly but in a rude tone to Mariana.

"LUCAS". Martha yelled at him

"are you letting this witch distract you again. she's always a distraction. she doesn't let you focus. instead of studying together look at what she's making you do. are you dumb?!. she's obviously not that good of a friend. how long will it take you to know that. She's always here twenty four seven always to distract you". Lucas said burning with furry

"why are you always an asshole. why don't you go get a life and stay the fuck away from mine you jobless jerk". Martha yelled with the same energy

"don't you dare yell at me". Lucas said

"GET OUTTA MY ROOM". Martha yelled even more.

Mariana got up from the bed trying to control the tears that was threatening to fall down. She needed to leave as fast as she could before she made even more fool of herself by crying. how can one human being be such an asshole.

she picked up her backpack and put on her sneakers.

Martha got up walking to her as she tried to stop her. "no no maria I'm so sorry. please don't go. You don't have to listen to him. You know how stupid he's".

"I'll see you later". Mariana said but her voice gave her out by breaking.

she walked past them out the room and just when she took a few steps her tears rolled down her cheeks uncontrollably

"You are a fucking asshole. no body likes you. how are you this heartless? How can you not feel bad for hurting people? what have she ever done to you". Martha yelled at her brother

"shut up Martha. I'm doing what's best for you". Lucas said trying to walk away but Martha blocked his way

"best for me? do you think being a heartless freak is best for me you jerk. why are you always after her. give her some breathing space. You have being unto her since she was born". Martha yelled again

"She's not a good influence on you. she's so loose. so not a good influence". Lucas yelled back

Mariana kept hearing them fight while descending the stairs. their argument went on and on.

She pushed open the front door and bumped into a rock hard chest.

"Hey maria. how are you?". Marcus said with the cutest smile there's.

Marcus is the oldest to Lucas and Martha. he is in his last year in the university. he looks exactly like Martha. light skinned. tall. very cute with deep Dimples. long lashes. perfect jawlines and cheekbones. perfect body. he's being Mariana's crush since she was five and normally that smile did melt her whole being but she's too hurt to even think about that smile.

she tried walking past him before he noticed her tears but it was too late.

Marcus blocked her path not letting her pass. mariana looked up at him and saw the worry expression he has for her.

"What's wrong Maria? why are you crying?". Marcus asked looking very worried.

Mariana couldn't hold up again and instead broke into tears.

"Hey hey. don't please". Marcus said pulling her into a hug.

he cared about her so much. She was like a his second younger sister that he really needed to take care of.

"it's Lucas". Mariana said in between her sobbing

"No not again". Mariana could hear Marcus whisper.

he pulled her from himself and looked down at her. I'm sorry for what ever he said to you. You know he didn't mean it. in fact..... let me set thing straight". Marcus said shutting the door as he took Mariana by her hand and they ascended the stairs together.

they walked the hallway and stood front of a door pushing it open.

"I don't care to know what you said to her but I want you to apologize immediately". Marcus said in a commanding tone

"why?". Lucas asked not smiling. he was sitting on his bed while going through his phone but dropped the phone on his bed immediately the door flew open.

"Lucas are you crazy?. You are no kid anymore. You know what she's being through and what she is still going through then why are you making her feel worse. mom and dad will kill you if they found out you made her cry, again. so without telling you again, SAY SORRY". Marcus said calmly but his tone showed extreme anger

Lucas looked at Mariana and then lower his gaze. "I'm very sorry if I hurt you. i didn't really mean it".

Mariana looked up at Marcus. "I'm really sorry okay. please don't let him get to You, okay". Marcus said with a smile that Mariana returned afterwards.

"go and get Martha so I can drop you guys off"

"sure". Mariana said and left.

"I cannot believe you". Marcus said to Lucas with a frown as he slammed the door shut.
