Talk with Officer

As soon as he finished, both the officers and detective had a stunned look on their faces, while Rumi flashed a proud smile.

Even though they heard that a high schooler had taken down all the villains, now they knew that he wasn't even a high schooler. Hearing him talking about villains and his strategy to not cause damage. With their calculations and precise knowledge, he was better than some of the heroes.

The detective again looked at Kirito but this time had a slight admiration for him, even if he had broken down the law. Though he had asked for Mirko's permission, it still doesn't change the fact. But they knew they couldn't press the issue here, because for them, Between stopping a person who broke the law for saving the people and still punishing him or letting him go because his actions saved others and he would be a future hero, they would choose the second one.

"I have recorded the conversation and it will be taken as your testimony. And the things you have reported mostly matched with what we had gathered, except for Kai Chisaki, who unfortunately died without paying for his crimes. We saw that he was injured by another villain. But we won't be able to publish your name for this incident." Saying this they told him that he wouldn't be charged for it and all the connection between him and the incident had disappeared.

Both Rumi and Kirito nodded to him as they also didn't want his name to be spread.

"Now we would like to ask about the thing that happened between Endeavour..." Before he could complete the sentence, Kirito cut him off and said, "Did you all verify all the things I said there?"

An awkward look appeared on their faces.

"We wanted to but were denied because we didn't receive any report from his family. And him being the No.2 Hero... Well seeing as you knew about it, you must be smart and know about other things too." The detective said while he looked at Rumi and then at Kirito.

"Then I will also not talk about it, even if the report was done by No.2 Hero, he still didn't have any right to force me to stay or even try to use his quirk to pressure me and make me answer his questions."

The detective thought for a moment and nodded.

"Well, We will try to resolve the matter between you two later. But you don't have to worry about him saying or doing anything." The detective tried to assure us but he heard Rumi saying, "Can he even do anything? We both kicked his ass yesterday."

Kirito laughed slightly and the detective shook his head. The officer from Hero Public Safety Commission was just here to see that things won't change. He hadn't even spoken a single thing and was just looking at things silently. But both Rumi and Kirito knew he was a tough guy.

"Now last and the main part. We want to talk about the girl you have saved. We know about her past and wanted to.."

"No! You can ask or talk to anything but I won't let her get taken by Hero Public Safety Commission."

Rumi also nodded and said, "This is the thing you will have to accept or we won't talk about anything. You all can leave if you can't accept it."

Seeing their stance in this matter, The Officer's face changed slightly but he still didn't say anything.

The detective tried to say but then he saw their eyes and sighed.

'Oh, God! Why was I chosen for this matter? Both of them are stubborn as hell. But still, I can understand where they are coming from. I won't pry into this matter anymore. I wasn't told about it by the chief.'

The detective looked at the officer who nodded and started to speak.

"I was sent here by Madam President to talk about the girl and her quirk."

"Nope! You can't take her back and then experiment on her. Even if you go for a safer way, you will still experiment on her. I don't trust the people who throw others away after they had used them."

Kirito said as he jabbed them about Lady Nagant's matter.

A cold look appeared on the officer's face but as he was about to get up and talk, a pressure fell him.

A cut appeared on his neck as blood started to flow and Rumi wiped her hands.

"Officer, You are here to talk. There is a child in the room, so keep your emotions in check. Of the safety measure in the room will..." Said Rumi casually while Kirito gave him a glass of water.

The officer took the glass and drank the water as he wiped the sweat on his forehead.

"Now officer, what were you saying? You were sent by Madam President and?" Kirito asked with a smile that sent chills down his spine.

"I was sent to confirm the child's condition and report it to Madam President. Can we see her at least?"

"Of Course! You can see her but don't make any noise. She slept not long ago. And don't worry about her quirk activating and hurting anyone. I can take care of it. You could have just said so, who are we to stop the officer from Hero Public Safety Commission?" Kirito said casually but later his word was filled with sarcasm which told him that he wasn't afraid of the Commission saying anything on media as they did with Lady Nagant.

They went to the room in which Eri was sleeping and Kirito gently lifted her clothes around her arms and legs and showed the scars and marks. He made sure that Eri won't wake up or anything.

Seeing his treating her carefully and gently, Detective nodded and thought,

'Well! Looks like she will be in good hands. We don't need to worry about her.'

But, the officer couldn't relate his gentle image to the one he had seen before.

Still, as they saw the scars and marks, they also reacted as Mirko did before and now they understood why the duo were protective of her.

If they had found her first, they sure would have reacted like them but not in this extreme way.

As they came out, the officer bowed to Kirito and Rumi and said, "Sorry for my misconduct before. After seeing her, I understand where you are coming from. I will assure you that Hero Public Safety Commission doesn't have any ill intent and we won't trouble you more."

Kirito nodded at him and said, "Well! I accept your apology. But not all people on the commission will understand this. For that, I will tell you what you can say." Saying this Kirito came near his ear and speak a few things which widened his eyes.

"Also, be sure to talk about that matter and Eri's adoption papers. I will be going to school next week and The commission will have to talk to Principle Nezu too. I can assure you that he will help you all."
